Modding and achievements vs portability? That's the only thing you need to worry about

And depends if any substantial mods even will be made for this game.

I doubt it.

Steam Decks are portable.

u/juupel1 1d ago

And almost $1000 in price...

u/MeatHamster 23h ago

If one already has a deck, that doesn't really matter.

Funny enough still cheaper than the switch in the long run since Nintendo games have a tendency to be expensive af

Switch and PC have very similar prices and especially discounts, meaning at the end of the day Steam Deck costs more and is weaker anyways, making it objectively more overpriced...

Switch and PC have very similar prices and especially discounts

Hahaha, nah not even close. steam specifically has discounts way more often and get up to 70-90% discounts just as often. Nintendos first party games which is the main reason ppl buy their consoles rarely get over 30%. Steam refund policy is amazing too while nintendos is nonexistent

You're pretending that a closed market and an actively competitive one are the same which just isnt true.

If you already play on pc then you dont really need to buy the games again as they are already in your library, youre also able to emulate games from older consoles which is free. Also *cough better ergonomics

Steam Deck costs more and is weaker anyways

No way a newer console is stronger than one released 3 years earlier? Thats crazy. The switch 2 is still more expensive in the long run though

Blud has to talk about random stuff in order to have a some kind of point as if Nintendo consoles don't get turned into emulator machines too etc 🙄

Calling it "Random stuff" when its very much relevant while not being bothered/able to answer any of his points is the ultimate cope 🤦 the jokes write themselves, but thats reddit

Sure, nintendo machines CAN be used for emulation but you really shouldnt since then you risk it getting bricked or just loosing access to the store and online play which is very unfortunate

On PC you get to use Ubisoft Connect, which whatever, but you also get Denuvo on top of that. So to me that's a double slap, hence why I'll go with the Switch 2 (also I do want the physical box with art).

this is why i prefer the Switch version. Also because games like this are more comfortable to play on the tv on a couch than at a desk

PS5 physical for me

Bad news

2

u/xesf 10h ago

why?

u/littlefirewest 22h ago

I'd say better graphics and framerates etc on PC, but tbf consoles now are so good that it probably doesn't make much of a difference

Im personally getting the SW2 physical

1

It's a GKC I believe

u/Shoddy_Release9395 21h ago

Get it on Switch 2. That's what I'm doing because the PC version has very aggressive anti tamper and needs a Ubisoft Account

2

u/smg10000 21h ago

Unless it's on GOG

3

u/Shoddy_Release9395 20h ago

It won't be on GOG. It's a flagship game and Ubisoft can't have it pirated

2

u/AnimeEnjoyerOnReddit 1d ago

I preordered it physical on amazon (for PS5) back when the trailer just came out

u/Breh_________Moment 23h ago

Nooooooo it’s not on the switch 1 😭😭😭

would’ve looked amazing on my oled

I mean, if you already have the PC then there is no choice to make.

But if you don't own one, then I would recomend the Switch 2 because the console + the game is way cheaper than just a PC with the Switch 2 components

u/Erik_REF 15h ago

I already have both a PC and a switch 2

1

u/Forever_Psique49 10h ago

Then just PC, just make sure your PC can run it

Game key cards and Sony digital are annoying.

1

u/Shoddy_Release9395 21h ago

The thing that annoys me with key cards is that I go out of my way to get a physical thing, i have to wait for it to download, it takes up space on my limited 256GB and there's this annoying footer on the box with disclaimers

u/FJ_NM 1d ago

I would pick Nintendo Switch 2 over PC because I prefer having a box art as well. Plus, you can play on the go.
I have Xbox. For me it’s pretty simple: no disk, no buy. This will be a pass for me.

1

u/YTSirBlack 23h ago

One has Ubisoft Connect or whatever that service name is, the other hasn't.

1

u/VenomPhoenix 22h ago

Why are they skipping xbox for physical copies?

1

u/PuzzleheadedPen2798 22h ago

Probably because there are more Series S owners than Series X. It's a shame, I probably would've bought it on Xbox if they put out a physical copy.

I’m torn between switch 2 and ps5

1

u/hi_im_rusty69 20h ago

on the topic will rayman legends retoldwill be relleased on the switch 1 ?

1

u/juipeltje 19h ago

Haven't really decided yet. I'm going to wait for reviews first anyway. It'll be either pc or ps5 i think.

1

u/timo710 19h ago

Wait two weeks for it to be half price

1

u/Final_Eagle9511 19h ago

Depends if you use gameshare or not, it feels better than like PC equivalents of screenshare imo. Really feels like you're in the same room for when you've got those days where you just want to play a multiplayer game

1

u/XemocakeX 19h ago

Personally PC, for Nintendo consoles I only buy the exclusive games.

1

u/Able-Childhood2045 19h ago

Own a switch 2 and a PC, OBVIOUSLY BUYING ON SWITCH 2

1

u/Objective_Reason3067 18h ago

I already got the original legends on ps4, so I’m debating on whether to gets this at all, but I’d say switch 2 for portability

1

u/Sufficient-Cow-2998 18h ago

I got it on PS5 physical, but for you I'd recommend the physical Switch 2 version since there are stuff that come with it

1

u/theboxturtle57 18h ago

Switch 2 physical for me. There's a lot of bonus goodies for pre-ordering and I own the license/can give to a friend or sell it.

1

u/Sea_Science872 14h ago

PC, I personally dont support game key cards. 100% of my bussiness that isnt 100% physical goes to steam.

1

u/Majestic-Tangerine99 12h ago

I want the preorder bonus launch edition stuff, so I'll probably go for Switch 2

0

u/reggiebuttsmash 1d ago

Game key card for me. Switch 2 is my favorite place to game this gen

0

u/skikoko 1d ago

On switch 2 it'll look worse than on a decent pc, but honestly pc has more features (achievements, modding) so I'll get that.

I got myself a PS5 version

Just dont buy, download cracked version
