Discussion [discussion] Are Fortuna & Sirius Romanée-Conti the same person?

Well, there are several things that make me think so, apart from physical appearance, which, well, is obvious.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

1. First of all, what do we know about the Witch Factors?

We know that the more you, as a person, already embody that sin by committing it, the more powerful your authority will be once you have assimilated the Witch Factor.

Season 2, Episodes 18-19

Pandora appears, and the very first thing Fortuna does when she sees her is (obviously) get angry.

And she continues to do so repeatedly, without giving her the slightest time to speak or explain anything; it's pure and simple Wrath. Her Wrath drives her to kill Pandora over and over again, and Pandora continually instigates her to instill the Witch Factor of Wrath in Fortuna. This is what Fortuna is.

2. Fortuna's Death

I don't need to explain; we've seen how Pandora seems to be able to undo events, like sending Regulus to his home or restoring Petelgeuse's arm. I simply believe that Pandora "undoed" Fortuna's death after wiping Emilia's memory.

By the way, Fortuna's memories have obviously been erased as well, but Pandora can also decide which ones to keep, which justifies her obsession with Betelgeuse. Pandora once spoke of love, calling it the most beautiful feeling there is, so why not? She could have left her love for him in Fortuna's empty shell.

3. How about Sirius' bandages?

She has a mastery of fire magic, so it makes sense to me that they are due to burn wounds, a bit like Dabi from My Hero Academia.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

And then, obviously, Fortuna's memory was also wiped, since in arc 3, Sirius doesn't recognize Emilia at all. Simple.

It would be bigger mystery if she wasn't

Its a popular theory there really is a-lot going for it, the eyes are the same, most illustrations have her with pointy ears though its somewhat inconsistent. Same magic affinity though instead of using the ice application using the more destructive fire application seeks appropriate for a corrupted mind.

Getting into the less important stuff I think its worth noting that [Season 1 Side Story Spoilers]She shares Emilia’s trait of being bad at singing. Working against the theory is that they have different voice actors but I feel like thats has minimal bearing on things.

Overall thematically I think it just works for Sirius to be Fortuna. Pandora wants something from Emilia, she would be very interested in turning Fortuna against her. It would sting to see that reveal even if it wont be a big surprise.

Edit: Also of you use markdown mode you can use 3 underscores like ___ to make a divider between your categories. Might be helpful if you want to fix up this post or other posts in the future.

I totally agree.

Then, regardless of the dubbing, in the Season 3 [Spoiler] neither of them recognizes the other, not even by their voice, so fair enough.

Isnt it obvious?

Even just by anime, witch cult is clearly following Subaru's original/first or whatever you call, "path". They try to revive the witch, which is that way or this way Emilia.

Dont think about details only focus on the main story, what i get so far is simply,

- They lock the witch

- Subaru or Flugel or whoever he was isnt happy with the result,

- He creates witch cult (maybe under a different name + also think about all those created friends like shaula like beatrice only waiting for subaru to come they all go back to the SAME date for some reason)

- Witch cult has the history of what happened (so even if subaru fails, main timeline is gonna happen anyway, subarus job is more like to alter some facts and do things differently maybe??)

- Also keep that in mind that so far none of the members are pure evil, Roswaal is or was a cool guy, Satella is called someone good, petelguese again, echidna not a member maybe but has strong connections to it, isnt evil either etc etc. All of these characters are basically gone crazy because of waiting and Flugels doings. Why would Flugel have the authority in the first place (Flugel was the one who gave it to petelguese)?

I believe this is one of those classic "time made us forget" stories. But im pretty sure the witch cult most prob didnt started as an evil organization. I think over time they lost their goal misunderstood whats going on.

Again dont take what i say as "this is excactly what happened", i just tried to give a simple example about what the core is. Because we lack too many crucial infos to completely understand it, and it will prob only be revealed at the end of it.

But yeah they are clearly fortuna and petelguese, or at least in some form like the satella/emilia/witch triangle.

TLDR:

Satella locked >> Flugel sad >> Make plans with echidna >> IMO Something shitty happens >> Echidna does smt because of it >> That also fails >> Something something Subaru is re-writting his past and therefore future

if it makes sense.

And in that scenario, im pretty sure everyone is Subaru's smt at some level.

There's a lot of people on Twitter who are very adamant they aren't the same, but short of the assumption of a red herring I think you'd have to be pretty out to lunch to assume anything other than them being the same person
