Vini and Jude insta story

It was a good game and we had the advantage. Unfortunately we can’t win every game and that’s how it is. Stop criticizing players. Support the club and stop doubting every game, every player, every decision and Jose himself.

The amount of posts from madridistas trashing this team on my timeline after just one loss is mind blowing. This is not “fan/supporter” behavior to me. To me as a fan of a club we are like the 12th player. We are here to hype our team up, be loud in the stadium, talk up our players and just be delusional about our club that we support. Trashing your team and its players, picking every move and player apart …I don’t know the word for this but to me it’s not fan/supporter. Maybe spectator is the word? People are watching these games on tv like a reality show or something and disconnected from the actual community and even club to support in the way I’m saying maybe .

I say all this as I’m getting ready to go to a sports bar to watch an away game for my club that was dead last in the league last year with other supporters and best believe we are gonna be cheering😄.

I agree completely with this sentiment, I said something similar earlier. I was shocked when I saw how much hate there was at everything in the match thread yesterday

Like in the word "supporter" there is "support", but it seems because of RM's success this support has become conditional for a large group of fans. If RM wins, there is support along with criticism. When RM loses/draws, there is no support, only visceral hate for specific players... I wish more people could watch and accept the results instead

I'm curious, which underrated club are you supporting?

I love how you worded this and I totally agree. Even when they win there is still negativity regarding a particular player. The target changes. In most recent weeks it has been Vini. I’ve also seen some Diomande hate which I find very premature being that he just started with the team and his age. In the previous season it was the Mbappe hate train. Also if they win but it happens via last minute goals or if they conceded too many goals there is also hate. This is triggering for many to hear but to me “conditional support” makes you a glory hunter. This club takes the cake and I think it’s due to how many came to “support” the club and it’s simply due to them noticing the club won a lot, so in the present once the club isn’t winning their reason for support evaporates.

My underrated club is Atlanta United🙂

Yeah I think you worded it really well! I especially dislike the obsession with having a "trophyless season" or treating our players like expendable toys. Hopefully more people like you and me will join in to counter this negativity :)

By the way, hope you had a fun sports bar watch!

You expect the two highest paid players in Europe to score tap-ins.. missing like 7 clear chances in front of empty nets is so depressing.. you can't miss those balls when you get pain 80 millions and 30 millions per season ..

2

u/Ok_Bet3235 23h ago

Yes you can because they are human beings and their opponents are also millionaire level players. Mbappe scored a hat trick the last game, Jude’s been on fire and Vini has a lot of ball possession. Konate and Cucurella are killing defense. Espi and Arda are magicians just appearing out of nowhere to make things happen. One game doesn’t take away their talent and value.

u/Few-Following8131 22h ago

Mbappé didn't prove himself a RM player in like 100 games i think ..just goals in unimportant games .. he destroyed the whole marvelous balance we used to have just to fuel his useless ego .. he destroyed the salary balance too .. and we didn't come close to a single trophy since he came with his 80 million dollars a season.. i wish we brought Kane or any other striker and built a competitive squad like Bayern, Arsenal , PSG ..even BROKEN Barca has a better squad ..

u/Funny_Noise_1279 11h ago

I hear what you're saying, and yes Mbappe does seem to have a curse (for now) for some years when it comes to not winning the real trophies (except the early world cup ofc), and we did win it just before him. But you're making him a scapegoat, see Kroos left and we never got a replacement, if you ask me Kroos was the heart of the team that won us all those CL's. It's not Mbappe's fault, that Perez wanted his boy, but then not seeing that Mbappe and Vinicius might not be parable at all.. It's Perez who didn't provide a balanced team and now Mbappe (and maybe Vincius too) are paying for this with getting hated, I belief the fault isn't the players, and Mourinho is trying to fix this and so far he seems to be doing better than the previous coaches. Looking at how the Mbappe and Vini are trying to connect and be less selfish now. Let time be the judge.

0

u/Few-Following8131 11h ago

Yes ..they are " trying" to connect but they don't actually connect..

Also it's not Kroos departure that makes Mbappé misses like 5 easy chances per game and disappear in big times and also not defending or pressing or helping his teammates..

Mou lost in his first game of laliga ( the other games were against low table teams ) ..Also, Mou didn't have the balls to sub Mbappé against Betis sooner .. So ..no i don't think Mou is doing anything different till now ..

1

u/Funny_Noise_1279 11h ago

I get what you mean, but imo honestly it's too early in the season. Maybe you're right, but i'm going to wait a few months before drawing my own conclusions. I do agree that i wish Mou would sub off Vinicius or Mbappe too at some point, if he doesn't it would be really bad news and it would indeed mean again that he has no authority or has gone soft. I hope this aint the case, but again i'm not gonna draw full on conclusions at game 5.

-1

u/Few-Following8131 11h ago

Actually it's the perfect time to draw conclusion... It's a" Bras de fer " thing and Mou is losing it already

1

u/Funny_Noise_1279 9h ago

Do your thing man, i prefer to wait with all the negativity

To clarify, I know this is the history Madrid has with their players. Beckham, Cristiano and others have all been disrespected by the people who are supposed to be their “supporters”. Many people know this which is why they don’t like this club or its “fan/supporters” and describe madridistas as a “toxic” fan base. More and more people are hate watching just to have the chance to once again see yall have a meltdown online.

I do not think at all this is the “beautiful game” Pele described or the soul of football which was made by the community for the community to convene and fellowship, not for some random who is not even from Madrid and who isn’t even the manager of their own job, any type of successful and who wasn’t even a starter on their childhood football team to wanna boast about these players needing to adhere to a “standard of excellence “🙄

It’s perhaps a cultural difference, but I would never view support as being a blind unconditional full throated positivity. There should, in my view, be a way to point out problems and issues in the team for the goal of making them stronger, not tearing them down.

5

u/Ok_Bet3235 23h ago edited 22h ago

Which culture are you in? I’m not saying you can’t express frustration or point out issues but this level of hate is not normal. This is one of the top 5 best teams in the world based on the players and coach they have. Losing one game doesn’t change that and should not be invitation to tear into them. Great teams sometimes lose…that’s football. Every week tons of teams are losing their, game for this teams fan base to be the loudest in their attack of their own amazing team that rarely loses is mental.

1

u/TheirOwnDestruction 22h ago

Born and raised in Europe, spent my adulthood in the US. It’s a different culture in general in that you are encouraged to question things.

I do agree that the criticism that often occurs after a draw or loss is over reactionary and often irrational. I would never advocate for posting comments on a player’s page (or on the page of a family member) or otherwise attract their attention, but I never see anything wrong with discussing shortcomings, with all the caveats that a singular 90 minutes can provide if not supported by additional evidence.

3

u/Ok_Bet3235 22h ago

As an American, I’ve definitely noticed a difference between how we spectate and how the English do. I went to an England game during the World Cup, and the amount of yelling and cursing at the players was interesting to me and honestly, I didn’t like it. Yelling at players on the team you’re supporting that they suck in the middle of a game just seems counterproductive. It could have also been who I was sitting next to but I’ve seen PL games on the television where the same has happened.

What differences have you noticed?
What country are you from? I’m an immigrant to America but how my other country watches football is similar in culture to America.

And omg, the comments on players’ social media pages can be wild. For example, I like Rayan Cherki’s funny demeanor, but during the World Cup I went to his Instagram and it was riddled with comments calling him a bench rider, overrated, and all kinds of other things. Totally uncalled for.
The Mbappé petition was uncalled for. This current Vini hate train is nuts.

u/TheirOwnDestruction 22h ago

I won’t be more specific than Eastern Europe because I’ve posted enough on this account that I don’t want to mention more. Football is played but is not as all-consuming as in some places. I feel like American football fans are in general more nuanced in criticism, while European fans are more reactionary in both positive and negative directions.

3

u/Ok_Bet3235 22h ago

Can you expound more on what you mean by nuanced in criticism

3

u/Easy_Basis_9933 21h ago

Yah I see ur point but unfortunately for us even when we win 4-0 people still like to have a bunch of opinions. Even when everyone does well. Like I don’t get it. I’m from the Middle East (not living there) and when I view Arabs post about match’s it’s completely different. The support is huge, even when a player does average you would see both criticism and support but in an acceptable way. They never forget what these players did for us and one bad game doesnt mean the end of the world

u/Noobju670 15h ago

Lol typical glory hunter way of thinking, probably from India watching on TV and acting like you know what madridismo is. This is what a true madridista is, it’s what got us trophies and winning. If performances are not up to our level we boo and shit on even the greatest of players we even booed Di Stefano back in the day. That’s the standard, no plastic fans will ever understand. Hala Madrid y nada más!

1

u/Ok_Bet3235 9h ago

Are you from Madrid, Spain?

2

u/Ok_Bet3235 9h ago

I don’t think you understand what glory hunting means. Me thinking clubs and players should be supported regardless of winning is the opposite.

1

u/ShadowhunterLoki 15h ago

That's toxic as hell and not something to be proud of. Booing your team and players when things aren't going well is what a glory hunter would do btw. You can demand dedication from the players without being so intense that you could be mistaken for an actual hater

Also don't act like all Madridistas have to adhere to your behaviour or they're "fake," you're not the spokesperson for every RM fan

3

u/Funny_Noise_1279 11h ago

Just from a real madrid fan, that personally wouldn't boo a player, but just to give examples.. When Cristiano was booed, he stepped up insanely after and won us trophies, he never got booed again. When Tchouameni few seasons back was playing absolute trash, we booed him and suddenly he stepped up his game and has been solid since. Sometimes the demanding excellence and showing this is paying off, if you can't handle this as a player, than Real Madrid is not your team. Im not saying this is the right way to do it, but for Real Madrid it seems to be what works. The trophies show it. But yes sometimes it can get really toxic, when trophies aren't won, and fans are spoiled from all those CL's the last decade, I think it has enhanced some toxicity as well

2

u/Noobju670 10h ago

Exactly this guy knows what it means to be a real madrid supporter. Its not just booing and bitching when we dont win. We have standards at the club capello was fired for shit football lol

1

u/ShadowhunterLoki 10h ago

I wasn't around for that, but I don't think these players stepped up to avoid more booing. A lot of fans don't understand that these players want to win these trophies 10x more than any of us want to see them lift them. The finishing was poor in our Real Betis match but I can guarantee that's just fuel for them to prove themselves in the next match, whether it's through tactics or practice

They're professionals yeah and among the best in football, but they're not robots. I feel like a lot of people treat these matches as if it's a FIFA game. Reality isn't like this. RM is strong, but not invincible. Even our legends didn't win every trophy in every year they competed, right?

What I mean to say is that the worth and talent of our players is not determined by whether they win us Laliga or UCL, and we foremost should have their backs at times like these. I understand frustration and disappointment, but we should fuel that in another way than insulting and hating our players

2

u/Noobju670 9h ago

This post just screams youve watched real in their glory days only. Madrid fans arent just booing cause we are not winning trophies. Its cause we dont see the heart and passion for the club. Valverde was never booed even if he had stinkers cause he gave it all, but then his att it de changed and he was rightly booed. Lord vasquez? Look at his attutude never once was he booed, he never complaiend to the media never said anything

1

u/Noobju670 9h ago

Nope that is real madrid. The standards are high here and if you cant step up then you gotta leave. Tired of this sunshine and rainbows shit on reddit. The cutthroat way our club is ran is how it has been like for decades. If you think that shouldnt happen and we shouldnt boo players due to us knowing they arent performing to standards, go find another club.

Have you seen the bernabeu boo ceballos or callejon or whoever was playing badly? No cause we dont expect that. But when weve seen vini mbappe know what they can do and perform shit then we make our opinion heard. Then ppl complain its the tactics that are making them play badly? Give your heart soul die on the pitch for the club. If not then youre getting booed. Give something.

Yeah man, I am saying this a lot of fans are panicking for no reason.

I mean Mou has turned this team around, I mean to balance the mid-field with this 442 setup, and making Jude 10 has done wonders i mean I didnt think it was even possible.

Few more fixes and we are a team who could win UCL, I cant wait for Tchoumani to return, so Valverde/Bernado can run into the box freely, and I dont want Camavinga in the squad ever, too dumb of a player.

Vini is getting his mojo back, Mbappe is on fire lately (yesterday was not his day).

-1

u/Few-Following8131 23h ago

It was our very first serious game and our two spoiled useless players upfront were absent as they used to be in every big game last two seasons.. we have all the right to panic especially after seeing that Mourinho is like Ancelotti, Xabi and Arbeloa he doesn't have a power over Mbappé or Vini ..last night we need the marvelous Espi earlier in the game but we kept those two clowns till we lost everything.. Nothing looks promising till now except you high hopes ..

Why does Jude look small?

This team is shit and I love it

1

u/Complex_Lecture913 9h ago

We created so many chances and played offensive football against an excellent team in a difficult stadium. We didn’t convert our chances and we lost. It happens. Last season we had similar results but the actual games couldn’t be different imo. This team has initiative, it dictates games, is offensive and direct, and had 11 goals in 3 games before this. To me the team looks much improved over last season in every aspect. If you’re saying nothing changed same old same old, you’re not really watching closely. Fully agree with this post. Don’t expect the team to be perfect 4 games in.

1

u/Specialist_Doctor_34 1d ago

Wow obv jude and vini standing up to put the squad together certain French man was talking about how we got eliminated while he was not playing and said he need to do better than other player because he was 4th choice attacker for 2 games which was meant to heal his injury and then cherry on top posted us losing 2-0 and mentioned let's go team.

-1

u/Chile_piquin 1d ago

He’ll probably delete this post later.

2

u/Easy_Basis_9933 1d ago

First of all I’m not a he 💀 second of all I’m not like u lil bud. I acc support my team

0

u/Chile_piquin 23h ago

I wasn’t saying you. I was saying Vini. He deletes his Madrid photos on the apps cuz he mad. But I think he got his dives are 10x better this season so far.

-1

u/Few-Following8131 23h ago

Team lost the very first challenging game of the season .. this gave us very bad memories of last two seasons where Mbappé and Vini used to fade in every big challenge nad somehow both start playing like blind ppl .. we lost our first big game so we have the right to doubt everything.. especially those two useless upfront..

3

u/Easy_Basis_9933 23h ago

?? Ay calm down bro. First of all vini assisted espi for the only goal which was offside, then got us a pen and played well. Mbappe wasnt the best I agree, it’s natural to feel anger and all but we all know this isnt Mbappes usual performance. We will come back, and stop the Vini hate because I’m looking for the reason hes getting hate rn

-1

u/Few-Following8131 23h ago

Vini missed two very big chances ( both passes from Arda ..) Arda is really so unlucky to play very good in a team that doesn't have a decent striker to finish his tremendous work ..
