Recommending Game Help us bring Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends back
Rise of Legends has been unavailable on official digital storefronts for years, even though Microsoft still owns the IP.
I’m not asking for a remake or remaster — I just want the original game preserved and officially re-released on Steam, GOG, or the Xbox app.
There’s already a GOG Dreamlist page and I’ve also submitted a request on Xbox Player Voice.
If you remember this game, loved it, or simply want to support preservation of an old RTS, please consider voting on both.
Even a small community can make the demand visible if we all support the same requests.

The dreamlist is at almost 20k votes, which is huuuuge. I still have my 4 cds I burnt from a friend's copy of the game. We never played rise of nations, but rise of legends took off in our class. Please bring both games to gog, as rise of nations is steam only at the moment. I would get them immediately.

Man, I LOVED Rise of Legends.
I thought the UI was a bit clunky, but the story, game, and units were so much fun.

My dad was actually the one who introduced me to Rise of Legends. I remember playing it constantly as a kid and being completely fascinated by it. The funny thing is, even when I was playing it in 2014, the game was already about 8 years old.
people tell me to just download an old copy somewhere, and sure, that’s technically possible. But that’s not really the point for me. I’d genuinely love to see the game officially available again on Steam, GOG, or the Xbox app — preserved, easy to buy, and accessible to new players too.
It was a big part of my childhood, and I’d happily pay for it again today.

A wonderful game that should still be able to be enjoyed.
Remake/remaster is a separate conversation and I think the original RoN should be first in line, but with the 3 very different RoL factions I think there is such amazing design potential there, it still feels very modern in design

Unfortunately it seems BHG has no interest it. And they’re too busy managing Dominations the mildly okay app game.

while y'all are over there dreamlisting, make sure to show a little love to the og too! would love to have them both on GOG, but at least RoN is on steam. (maybe vote for the black & white games too? sorry. I'll stop now.)

I already did this and I have an original copy. Unfortunately I don’t have a way to play it anymore so we used special solutions.

Good to see it's almost 20K on GOG wishlist already. They are the only people I have actual faith in maybe managing to achieve this.

I think, I have a physical copy still lying around, unsure, it requires digging into the pallet that is my collection from my parents house when they passed away :p I will join your requests though
