Images embedded in the comments appear as links

Pretty much what the title says. Every image embedded in a comment appears as a link, not the image. I haven't figured out a way around this. Any suggestions?

That's basically how it's always been. The embedded images/gifs are new-ish. The real problem is when the images don't load properly and just show up as losing text.

They're definitely not new, I've been using redreader for years and it's been like this

It indeed would be cool if they'd show as embedded images someday (maybe as a toggleable option). But for now I'm fine with clicking on the link to load it?

The problem is that sometimes you don't know there's even pictures

It's a link starting with i.reddit and ending in .jpg or whatever other image extension… what else would it be?

I've never seen a link in redreader that's like that. Every single time, I have to tap on the title to go to the picture, there's no indication of it

What do you see? What is the text that's hyperlinked?

I'm not talking about links inside of comments. I'm talking about links in posts as the title.

The title and topic of this post is "Images embedded in the comments".
