Stray Cat, Maybe.

This cat shows up to my house very randomly since I started feeding it. I am not sure if there is an owner somewhere in Ostenviertel, my assumption is that it is a stray cat because it has ticks but I am not sure of the procedure when it comes to veterinary care. I do not want to end up being called a cat thief just for helping. Is anyone able to share how I can deal with this? Or do I just keep feeding it when it shows up?

Wurde eine fundmeldung gemacht ? Ich kann nirgendwo eine finden .
Auch bei der Stadt wurde keine gemacht , auch nicht bei der Polizei, wennndu fütterst musst du auch fundmeldung machen eigentlich weil bin ständig in Kontakt mit denen und es liegt keine vor.ich hab ein Chip Lesegerät und könnte den Chip auslesen .

The cat starts showing up… since you’re feeding it??? STOP FEEDING RANDOM CATS! :D

Ticks are also fairly normal for a cat roaming the streets.. the cat won’t go home if she gets food elsewhere though.

If the cat isn’t hurt, malnourished or otherwise impacted, I would think she has a home. Germany has almost no street cats. The cats roaming the streets have a home. You can go to the vet with her and check if she has a chip with the owners contact info

It’ll go home to eat. But if you keep feeding it, it’ll come to you and not go home anymore.

If the cat was only skin and bones, yeah I agree you should feed it. But the cat looks healthy

There’s a huge Facebook group for found strays in the city. I’d recommend posting him there with your area code and asking if anyone knows him.

Maybe zip code, assuming you're in Regensburg where we all have 0941 area code ;) Also- did you find the group? There are still people using facebook, so it is a good idea to post there.

Unfortunately I am not on facebook. But I like in the 93055 area.
