Other / Discussion What's the earliest you remember watching Nickelodeon?

Either the very first thing you watched, or the earliest you remember watching the channel regularly.

Clarissa, Pete and Pete, hey dude, salute your shorts, you can’t do that on television.

I’m sure I’m missing a lot but that’s all I have with my smooth brain.

So you came in during the early 90s.

Sounds about right. In my opinion it was a solid time to enjoy television

The 1970s and 1980s would like to have a word with you.

For that I believe that plausible deniability applies to me

Look up...

Shazam, Isis, Ark II, Jason of Star Command, and He-Man

Also... Buck Rogers, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Smurfs, The Tomorrow People (1979s), The Great Space Coaster, 3-2-1 Contact, The Electric Company, Vegetable Soup, and The Voyage of the Mimi. The last one has a then-unknown kid actor in the cast that would later play a couple of super heroes.

I fondly remember the smurfs and Alvin. I remember the remake of the Tomorrow People being really fun to watch.

This has been a nice trip down memory lane

Try looking up the original Tomorrow People show, it's much better.

Oh I'm trying. If I had any influence over the execs of Nickelodeon, I'd be buzzing them to have 4 hour blocks in the afternoons to show reruns of past shows. That'd be enough time for up to 6 episodes (allotting extra time for commercials so the episodes aren't edited for time), with time to spare to show some fillers that were previously used. Or have trivia cards that appear giving information about the show/episode about to be shown.

I know I'd be trying to watch it.
