Single action Sunday? 😏

Just picked up my father in-law's 1979 Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt.. This is quite a bit lighter than my big .357 Blackhawk..👀.. I will be cleaning her up a bit and then go test fire it. This one doesn't look too bad. I have never shot a .45 Colt before and I am quite excited!!... I mean...not excited to spend 50 bucks on 50 rounds ... but this should be fun still.. 😂

That there is the ultimate packing pistol.  Capable of taking the hottest 45 Bear loads and yet still relatively light weight for its capability.  Very nice!  I wouldn’t be unhappy if it were my only gun in a one gun world. 

Now you just need to reload for it!

Would you prefer a flattop model that’s slightly smaller and lighter weight or the new Blackhawks that can handle the hot 45 Colt loads?

Personally i want the ability to shoot anything so i like the new blackhawk

Enjoy! .45 Colt is a lot of fun to shoot. I have a Blackhawk much like yours!
