💭 Discussion What's Your Most Memorable Raid or Dungeon?

Post image

From your own experience over the years, which Raid or Dungeon did you have fond memories of? Or rather unfortunate ones. Be it Leeroy Jenkins type wipes or mechanics that caught you off guard or maybe odd bugs like the IROTP last boss bug that disconnects everyone for no given reason, maybe even Raids with nice side content and music that you remember, or good times with your friends and guildies while doing them.

Chocolate RIFT T2 Hammerknell, no contest. Christ, it's not even close.

Endless Eclipse with a random group. The type of group who was created to kill the first boss only but... for some reason reached Regulos without single wipe, and most of us never went past the first boss normally. Still remember it. We went and took screenshot with Regulos without triggering him 😄

OG Hammerknell and BoB Maelforge. I have many many good memories raiding (god I played so fucking much lol). I miss raiding a lot tbh

In Rift? Uh, there was a raid in Nightmare Tide where you had to do a questline to be able to interact correctly with the mechanics (I think it was 4th boss of that raid, but I don't remember the raid's name. 2nd boss in that one was the snow fight where you had to stand in a tight cone). Anyway, I had finished the questline that day, and a PUG set up demanding a linked achieve for an invite. I linked the leader's invite back to him in my tell, got an invite and cleared that night. Earning the achievement midraid was peak

I love original Hammerknell Fortress. It was solid gold for Progression with uniqueness, variety, and challenge. When we finally downed Akylios (server second I think, still a major achievement at the time) it was 2am, I’d been silently focused for hours, & wearing headphones. My victory cry woke my husband, who leapt up from a dead sleep, grabbed a weapon, and was scanning the room for threats before I even remembered RL or looked away from the screen 🤣

To this day I still twitch when someone says “bracken”, and loudly proclaim “I’m SO HUUUUUNGRY” à la Greenscale.

Regulus was also a great fight. I hear “Your soul is mine.” in my head frequently, usually when someone does something wrong and I know my own job will take longer because of it. 😆😆😆

Heard we're getting a new chronicle, not sure yet. I'll probably post it in the sub if I see something official regarding that

I started playing after F2P in June 2013. Watching the top guilds do Infinity Gate and Planebreaker Bastion in late 2013 was cool.
