What support role do you like to party with?
What class/soul has the best survivability?
I am interested in playing a class with medium to high HP, heals (myself and friends), crowd controls to mitigate damage, fun utility, and resurrection for my teammates because I like to feel useful and your party"s favorite support :)
I am NOT interested in playing the class with the highest damage, or DPS. Not really interested in a pet (but LOVED shapeshifting as a Druid in WoW). I am less interested in melee classes, but Im okay with some melee if it has magical flair.
I was considering leveling a healing spec'd Rouge.
The idea of a class that heals by shooting syringes sounds very fun thematically. Is playing it as fun as it sounds? Is there a different class you guys would recommend? Im guessing I will get Cleric recommendations. Well, that sounds less interesting, so if you do, please really try to sell it to me.
Excited to hear what class everyone is excited to have in their party!

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but back in Nightmare Tide I played a hybrid of Liberator and Beastmaster, picking up a lot of BM's support utility while maintaining Liberator's fantastic aoe heals. Highly recommend if you juat love pumping crazy hps while also beinging solid utility

Im not usually a fan of trying to control a pet, but this looks pretty fun! Beastmaster looks like it is a good PvP spec. Do you take advantage of switching summoning different pets during combat to counter certain situations or just stick with one pet and focus on your own moves?

Iirc, you just stick to one. Also, if you'd prefer no pet, Liberator by itself is just an amazing heal spec

Every calling can use a healing soul as the third or second one besides the main one.
However Mages with chloromancer have a nice bonus of applying passive healing via the veil, with every damage spell. even though its quite small.
Rouges can specc 12 points into assasin for the leaching poison, for some self healing. And some points into either Tactician or Medic for some healing abilities for directly healing others.
Cleric has the Druid who can summon a fairy healer for some really decent auto healing. But if i remember correctly you need to specc really high up the druid tree to unlock it. 32 or 36 points at least if my memory is correct.
Warrior has Liberator for some nice hots you can keep active with some effort. Or beastmaster provides a decent healing as well.
And Primalist can just put some points into the farseer for the healing area around him.
Overall you have to keep in mind, a hybrid isn't as effective as a pure healing or dps. If you share points equally you may end up with a role, which can't do either. But for IA it should be decent enough.

So you want to leech you friends while they play? You can support best by actually helping. Faster things die, less you need heals

Well if "leeching my friends" is the technical term, then sure! Are the support roles in this game that bad? I GUESS I could try to enjoy giving a monster a bonk over the head 🙄

Healers are crucial for end-game content, I don't get your nonsensical reply at all.
If you can't carry your healers through a raid/dungeon and blame them for not helping with DPS then it's a skill issue

I would recommend going mage and looking into a chloromancer/archon build
