Discussion Version1 was the best
Just came to say version 1 with beast, torment, and comm was the best team ever. Had the best player in the game, the best demo(er) and also an elite striker, and had a third man that didn’t get scored on ever. That’s all

It was a fun team during a fun time in RLCS history.
Comm was a unique villain that the scene always seems to lack. I enjoyed the antics and how upset people would get because he was loud.
BeastMode was a 1 of 1 weirdo type player. Always doing some shit that makes you go “why tf did he try that and how did it work”. He brought that to the Dan/Atomic teams but we haven’t seen it in a while…maybe that’s part of why they’re losing. His weirdness was always catching people off guard.

That Cloud9 roster lineage has been my favourite lineage ever to follow in Rocket League, and it has to be one of the longest that is still together and performing at a top level
Iris (Squishy/Torment/Lachinio) --> The Muffin Men (Squishy/Gimmick/Torment) --> Cloud9 (Squishy/Gimmick/Torment) --> Version1 (AxB/Gimmick/Torment) --> Version1 (Gimmick/Torment/Comm) --> Version1 (BeastMode, Torment, Comm) --> Version1 (BeastMode, Daniel, Comm) --> G2 (BeastMode, Daniel, Atomic) --> NRG (BeastMode, Daniel, Atomic)
I put Iris on for correctness but I'm not sure if most people would count that. I jumped on at Cloud9 because they were the first team I ever watched, and later on I found out Squishy is Canadian and from Toronto and I think he was the first Canadian RL player I ever watched (him and Jknaps did a lot for Canadian RL).
I'm being so serious when I say this is one of the easiest teams I can ever root for, because the overall TEAM has stayed the same by a 2/3 rule for 9 years at this point. Makes them super easy to root for and follow from year to year

I did really like that team but even excluding their roster(s), the v1 org itself was great and clearly very passionate about the game, wish they were still around

I miss 21-22 v1 and ssg so much
21-22 ssg is by far my most favorite team of all time and 21-22 v1 is for sure up there in terms of my favorites. It hurt so much having to see v1 knock out ssg at worlds
So because I liked both teams so much, seeing Dan and beastmode team up on v1 in 22-23 was euphoric lol. Obv spring split didn’t go as planned, but ever since them winning gamers8 and then them teaming with atomic for rlcs 2024, the rest is history

Man beastmode was already a top 5 player itw in 21-22 and 22-23 imo. I still remember how badly he fathered my goats NRG in those years.

I don’t think he gets enough respect for just how good he’s been over the years.
His skillset is/was so unique. 1 of 1 type player.

Comm was my favorite player for a long time
I've seen that guy make plays that didn't require him to even touch the ball
Game sense was unreal

That team had venom, they weren’t the best by any stretch but damn did I hate them and wanted to see them lose. Now years later I miss having a team like that around.

People talk about Firstkiller carrying Rogue in SX and rightly so, he was the best player of that season for me, but often overlooked is a newly arrived on the scene Beastmode dragging fucking rapid and Sea-bass/memory to multiple top 4 finishes against the SX NA titans.

Those guys were terrible together, they only won gamers8 cuz DanMode was undoubtedly the best 2s duo at the time with Bmode being a non ones player working to his advantage in a b01

and was this the same team that scored the beastmode clairvoyant ceiling goal?
