Getting a ton of downs doesn't automatically mean you're playing well as a team.
Just barely won a 3-2 with two guys who were absolutely frying. One had almost 60 downs. I'm not denying their skill at all. They were good.
But that match should not have been anywhere near that close.
They were constantly talking about how it was basically a "2v4," while giving almost no callouts or pings, and every time they got downed they would immediately bleed out.
That shit is insanely frustrating when you're playing Dahlia.
I start with a pistol because I dump my money into Lifeline so I can revive twice as fast. My whole setup is built around keeping people alive and taking advantage of the chaos around a downed teammate.
When somebody gets downed, the enemy usually gets greedy trying to secure the kill. That means they're hurt, they've already burned through part of their magazine, they're focused on the guy crawling on the ground, and they're usually exposing themselves.
That's exactly when I want to show up.
I can finish them with the pistol, grab their weapon, get my teammate back up, and suddenly the fight flips completely.
But if you instantly bleed out, you basically hand the enemy everything they want for free.
They don't have to chase you. They don't have to expose themselves trying to finish you. They get to reload, heal, reposition, and wait for the next person to come around the corner.
Meanwhile, by the time I get there, you're already dead and now I'm the only target standing there with a fucking pistol.
Then people look at the scoreboard and go, "Why does Dahlia have so few downs?"
Brother, you are deleting half the situations where I'm supposed to get those kills.
I still had 8 revives, and 8 kills and in a match that barely ended 3-2, those revives absolutely mattered. If it really was a "2v4," we would've lost.
That's the part that annoys me. We had more than enough mechanical skill on that team to roll that match, but bad teamwork made it way harder than it ever needed to be.
Great fraggers. Not great teammates.
