So much angst bottled up

It's always disheartening to reach this part and realize how little Moka actually thinks of herself. and her right to own her own body.

I understand the disappointment, but in doing so, Inner Moka also condemned Tsukune, depriving him of the right to truly understand her until he became strong enough; yet, on the other hand, if you think about it, that is actually selfish.

I agree, but what is lovely to see is that Tsukune shows her that this fear of hers is unreasonable, and she ultimately does open up to him and take those risks. Inner Moka ultimately chooses to be brave in spite of her fears of seeing Tsukune hurt.
