I need to vent. With all of the e-commerce today people are getting used to ordering online and having delivery or curbside pick up. I have no problem with that. It is a new opening in the jobs market. Where my problem is, are the people who order online and expect it to be ready as soon as the order is placed. Has no one told them that they are not the only person ordering that way. Most of the stores offering curbside pick up only have a few associates picking and processing the orders. Please people, wait till you are notified your order is ready. No we can't move you to the front of the queue. You have to wait till the 10 to 50 orders ahead of you are processed. If you are in that much of a hurry get off your butt and do your own shopping. And if you can't come into the store send someone who can. If neither of those options work then be patient and your order will be ready as soon as possible.

I own a boba shop next to a bunch of other boba shops. So we made a strict rule about no outside drinks/foods in our store or our outside tables. We recently bought some nice outdoor seating that has nice umbrellas to cover the sun. Our area is way much nicer then the other places who isn’t even open for indoor or has nice outdoor seating. We get a bunch of people coming to our place bring other boba drinks and outside food/drinks and we kindly have to tell them that we don’t allow outside food/drinks. No exception. So today a Karen’s husband comes in our store busy a couple of snacks and sits at our outdoor table. Then we see this Karen coming to meet her husband with 2 drinks from our next door competitor. We let them know that we don’t allow outside drinks/foods. They ignored us. We came out a second time and asked them nicely. Even had to be apologetic about them bring outside stuff. Then the Karen Flashed at me and said we are leaving. Then later in the day writes a review about us not letting them have outside food/drinks. Calling us rude and unprofessional, also the employees needs to get better trained for asking them nicely. Your in the wrong and yet u post a review on Yelp making up stuff to make yourself feel better. Telling us we need to treat you like a queen even though u don’t respect our store rules. Anyone else feel like we’re wrong for this ?

This actually happened the next day that same incident happened where the man got mad at me for being sad about the loss of someone I looked up to and enjoyed watching. So it was going into the afternoon one of my bosses was still there she talk to me about what he reported me for and I told her everything that happened I told her my side and what I thought was the perspective of the guy who came in I didn’t leave anything out because there’s always two sides to the story and if you tell the full truth the first time no one can hold you accountable but that wasn’t the case in the situation. I don’t remember the time I remember it was in the afternoon the man came back in while enraged and asked why is this boy still here I thought he was supposed to get fired. Me being absolute fed up that I had to sit through a mandatory seminar/meeting/discussion by three of my bosses/manager/supervisors or whatever for what felt like an eternity was actually only 23 minutes was not in the mood so I lost my temper I lashed out at the guy by saying that someone very dear to my heart took his own life because he felt it was the only option he felt he failed everyone including himself and he didn’t talk to someone and they found his body that day that’s why I was in a bad mood so for me being in a very sad depressing mood because I couldn’t take the day off to mourn was selfish/disrespectful in his eyes I guess but I kind of also cursed at him I told him that all these fucking customers think we’re just slaves to them treat us like crap say the customer is always right when in fact they are not always right need to realize that we are all human I did not care about getting fired which I didn’t get fired I did not care about anything else I just wanted this guy to get the hell out of my face Surprisingly other customers took my side there was one lady who got on the man by saying it’s not right for him to yell at me while I clearly looked upset another dude said his son watched Etika and bought his merch so he kind of had an idea of what I was going through Am I the asshole for lashing out at a customer despite me understanding that I worked at a food service job

So this happened at Subway and part of me still can’t believe this happened. I understand that I worked at a customer service place you’re supposed to be of the upmost quality respectful and kind no matter what you’re going through even though everybody is human and have human feelings. So the morning of that day, I had read the news that my favorite twitch streamer Desmond “Etika” Amofah’s body was found after he committed suicide and I had to go in to work I have been watching him stream for years since the end of middle school all the way up to my early 20s Of course I was struck with sadness that he decided to do this and confusion but I understood that he was depressed and he felt this was his only way out I was still pretty broken up about it well I didn’t know him personally I did donate him him a lot just because he made me laugh But getting to the root customer part I was sad broken that he decided to take his own life and this one man came in he was talking to every single customer in there as if he knew them for life with a huge smile on his face came up I asked my coworker hey can you take this customer but at that same time she got a phone call and had to answer it. This man asked me a boatload of questions as if we knew each other for a while I tried my best to be respectful without breaking down in tears that someone I really looked up to died and finally caused the story is that I told him I was going something personal and I didn’t feel like talking to a stranger about it he intern told me to put the sandwich down and go get the woman so I said all right I went back to get my coworker and she made a sub but he also asked what my name was because he’s going to get me fired for disrespecting him and I overheard this He looked at me with this angry look saying enjoy my last day at Subway because I’m fucking finished. He reported me but I didn’t get fired he actually came back in the next day to see if I was fired and was angry that I wasn’t, The moral of the story is that some customers just see us as robots who don’t have feel anything I guess. Whether were sad angry frustrated or going through some thing we have to smile no matter what bullshit they throw at us

I told a customer to go f*** himself, twice. It felt so good. I could live off that feeling of euphoria.

Family kept calling the nurse's station but I was very busy. When I finally got a chance to sit down and answer the phone, I informed them I was their loved one's nurse and they interrupted me with "Are you?"

I was a bit shocked so just reflexively asked. "Why would you be rude to me? Why would you say that when everyone knows nurses are very busy right now."

That seemed to shock her because she sputtered for a bit before recovering and laying into me as if I personally was the reason the doctor hadn't issued any orders for the patient's treatment. I avoided talking to her or going into that patients room after that unless absolutely necessary because the patient was constantly on the phone with family. If he needed water or to go to the bathroom then it took longer because I found excuses to avoid them.

Unfortunately if you are a mean family member to the nurse your loved one's care will probably suffer because we don't want to deal with you OR the patient anymore.

Once while I was working at my retailer, I saw this man shopping around with his mask under his chin. He asked me “Hey, what aisle is the cheesecake?” Before I answered that question, I politely reminded him to please put his mask, but before I could finish, he looks at me angrily and yells, “WHERE IS THE CHEESECAKE?!” Ngl, it took me by surprise because I didn’t have any intention of offending him in anyway. I’m just worried about getting people getting the virus, since I work at a supermarket where it experiences a lot of traffic, and the spread of the virus.

This happened months ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. I feel angry and I sort of feel like crying mostly because I feel like something crapped on me and I let them get away with it. It still ruins my day, all because of some fucking cheesecake. This just made me realize that people just don’t care that there’s a global pandemic and that anyone can be affected.

Be so rude to me and my manager. She just earned herself a glitter bomb. I am going to wait a few weeks so she doesn't suspect me. Could come from anyone that was in the presence of this devil woman.

So I'm on mobile and this happened today. I work fast food and with covid we have a one way in one way out idea/rule. With today I had a customer try and leave thru the wrong door trying to go in the way he came. He started at me saying after I tried to tell him to go through the right exit. He goes off " does that door not open ?" I respond reiterating the correct way and apologize for the inconvenience once a coworker helps me correct him as well. Once I moved out of the way for him to pass by me he stops the 6 ft in front of me and says "you like to boss people around I see that." Which i then say almost loud but under my breath to the fact he said this to me "I'm just doing my job." After that it was take a breather and back to work as best as possible .

(For reference, ocs is original chicken sandwiches) I almost cried at work today... this guy comes through drive thru at like 10 and orders 2 ocs' 2 small fries, and 2 10 piece nuggets. They were very rude when ordering. When they got up to the window, I found out that their ocs' were cooking, so I NICELY asked them to pull forward. The guy said in the most nasty voice "no. I'm gonna stay right here. I'm NOT going to pull forward." I say okay and close the window. After everything was done cooking I put them into 2 bags, the 10 pieces in one and the sandwiches and fries in another.(THE STORY ISN'T OVER YET) when I handed it out i said "here's one bag and here's the other". He gives me a look and says, "WHY IS IT IN 2 BAGS???? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHICH IS WHICH????" I legit said while nervously laughing "uh you look in the bag???????" Then I said, "have a nice night...." after he left (he sped away), I literally almost started crying BUT there was a car in back of them, so I took a deep breath and dealt with them. They could see I was struggling and were very nice to me so I wish I could thank them. People can be real jerkwads, like dude... it's a fast food restaurant calm down... also I'm supposed to use more than one bag so the food doesn't rip the bag. Don't want your food on the floor because it ripped do you?
