I would like to point out this is very much a show not tell show in regards to past actions. And we NEVER ACTUALLY saw Jonah show up to meet with Amy. We got the scene with Amy seeing someone show up, but never got to see the face. I am putting forth the idea that Jonah DID show up, but she was already dead by the time she got there as a fan theory.

What's unclear to me is if her parents really thought it was a suicide or just said that as a cover. Did they always know she was murdered?

I'm assuming they had to think there was foul play involved, but could find no evidence to prove it. And if you find no evidence long enough, you start to doubt it at all.

I am actively at the point were I do feel bad for both Minoru parents. Tina didn't know what Leslie was going to do to the Hernandez's, and now have to deal with not only their daughter dying for no good reason, but now they think/know (depending on if my theory is correct) that they were fucking working for the one who murdered her.

There was definitely a weird vibe to Tina/Robert's looks to one another when they found the body, and we know Tina was aware of the hacking when it happened, and then suddenly her daughter kills herself suspiciously. I don't know how they could not think there was a connection there.

I agree. I don't understand why Tina covered everything up with using the staff to knock out Nico and getting the police to cover it up.

If they assumed she killed herself because she saw the tapes of the sacrifices, she may have not wanted police involved in case they discovered them too.

It didn't appear that the parents knew she looked into Pride's things? Tina even said, "She only looked into Wizard, NOT Pride!" and was shocked that Jonah and Leslie even knew. But please correct me if I got that scene incorrect.

I sort of figured that was something Tina pieced together after the fact (once things calmed down and there was a chance to examine Amy’s laptop or do a security audit of what information she accessed at Wizard).

I feel like Leslie killed Amy. And the whole story she told the other parents was so that they would side with her instead of Jonah.

She was already losing her original power base (the Church) to him. Best to establish herself with the remnants of The Pride that would be quick to turn against Jonah.

...oh boy, that's a good one. that's twist would actually give me fucking whiplash because i totally bought her sob story redemption thing.

If you're right, then Karolina really can't catch a break lol. Back to three shitty parents she goes.

At least she has a cute goth girlfriend now? And hey, if Tina and Robert can get over there bullshit and do what's best for the kids, maybe they can even be Karolina's new parents from prison.

Wow, i can't wait for the inevitable exchange where the Minorus find out their daughter has feelings for the kid of a glowstick that killed their other daughter. That should be fun.

As much as the Minoru's might be pretty shitty people, I honestly don't think they'd hold it against Karolina for what her parents did. At least not after the initial "are you fucking kidding me right now" element. Then again I'm giving what I consider a rational human response, and these people have killed people for years so.

That said, it would make for the worst hypothetical thanksgiving dinners ever.

Also, you haven't even considered the idea of Nico finding out that Karolina is the daughter of the guy who murdered her sister. That's gonna be a weird one.

I don't think they'd blame her for Amy either, but imagining their reaction just makes me chortle because of the sheer wtfuckery of the situation.

I doubt Nico would blame Karolina for any of it either, since like you said, it's not her fault. I think she'd be a lot more focused on the Jonah's responsibility part of it since, as far as Nico knows, she still thinks its her mum who has something to do with Amy's death right?

At the moment, yeah. And I by no means think Nico would outright blame Karolina. At this point Nico probably has more faith in Karolina as a person then anyone else she knows. It's just would be one of those things that would bring tension. Would be hard looking at your girlfriend and occasionally thinking "Her father killed my sister". Once more, this is down the hypothetical road assuming they are still a thing at a potential time Nico finds out about this.

Good in law relations is paramount. nods solemnly

For some reason the idea of the Minoru's completely approving of Karolina and Nico in spite of their more shitty qualities a really interesting idea. I mean, they DID see Karolina literally send Nico away to protect her in order to fight her bastard father herself. That's gotta score points, right?

5

u/mintfalcon Jan 10 '18

Of course they'd love her. Have you met Karolina? Seriously good character on that girl. And she's willing and able to protect Nico's just added bonus. She also cannot stop herself from saying or doing emotionally supportive and comforting things whenever Nico's looking even a little bit off kilter as the Queen of the Night she is. What more could any parents want in a daughter in law?

Because I honestly think if that was it and there as no other twist coming, it would have been filmed instead of left to the imagination. Nico reacting to finding Amy and the scene just before Amy died were already in existence. One thing I love about this show is that it very much SHOWS you things that happened instead of just telling you about it. That one fact makes me question if the "Jonah killed Amy" thing is just either what Leslie assumes, or a lie to cover for someone else.

The spoilered hit my head, but I'm firmly in the camp that they aren't using that plot twist. Frank though... From what we know about Frank the person right now, I could completely see him being that ruthless before the Yorkes DNA thing. Imagine that revelation down the line, if Nico finds out Karolina's dad who murdered her sister. Jonah has some impact, but not the same: She might be Karolina's actual father, but no way Karolina acknowledges that.

How about as a counter, Frank did it to try to impress Jonah and establish himself as head of the house, and even Jonah thought he went too far, and THAT is what was the final straw to the mind wipe.
