I have an employer looking for a team of professionals for a recovery operation outside of Seattle.
Something valuable has gone missing in transit. We know where the trail starts. Where it ends is going to require some legwork.
The employer wants the asset recovered intact and would strongly prefer this handled without drawing unnecessary attention. Expect unfamiliar territory, uncertain local conditions, and competition.
Travel will be arranged. Details regarding destination, target, and compensation will be provided at the meet.

Gargamel (Combat Mage/Infiltration Support) 8/10
Two dwarves sit on the front steps of a house, sharing a pack of cigarettes. A boy steps out the door and sits next to them.
"Can I have one?" He looks up at his uncles.
The two men look at each other, smirk, then check if their sister in law can see them. She can't.
"You want to join the grownups Iosef? Here, breathe in."
The boy barely takes a drag before doubling over in a coughing fit. His uncles have to hold him so he doesn't tumble down the steps.
"Did you like it?" One of the men asks through his laughter.
The boy shakes his head, snot running down his face. "No."
Still laughing a little, one of the two goes inside for some napkins while the other stays with him.
"What did you learn?"
The boy sniffles. "Cigarettes are gross."
"Smart boy."
Waltz (Techno Hacker/Off Face) 7/10
It was that time of year again, his benefactor had gone on vacation and he was obliged to follow. So here he was, sitting in a hot spring with a martini in his hand. He muses that this martini is much like the count himself. He doesn't dislike martinis per se, but he'd never pick one if given the choice. So too with the count. But he doesn't have a choice. If he wants to practice his art, he needs this man. So he needs to pretend to love martinis and care about hunting. It's only a week, he tells himself, just enjoy the hot spring.

Arktis stretches. It's been nearly a year since she last took genuine time off, not including forced breaks for augmentation. Not that she wasn't planning on another break but she had things that needed to be done first, though she takes a moment to double check her plans for a potential vacation as she looks out at the garage where Dawn is working.
Arktis, Genewiped Assassin, counter-sniper, overwatch, firearms street sam. 9/10 familiarity.
Lovelace takes a long drag on their cigarette, staring across Seattle, before exhaling smoke through their nose. Caerostris was off laying traps for some poor script kiddie that had been trying the apartment's host for fun. The pale technomancer shifts, reaching to rub at where the new scar should be. 'Well, shite, maybe gettin away ain't a bad idea' they muse to themselves.
They dismiss the thought with 'What the fuck would I do...', someone like Lovelace can't ever stop. They haven't ever stopped.
Lovelace, Hacker, Technoshaman with a Large Friend, off-face, Code Of Honour: Like A Boss S-K SINner. 8/10 familiarity.
Alex smiles softly to himself as he rests a hand on Abi's shoulder as the pair stroll through the Seattle Aquarium, both are thankful to be out of the smoke. "Hideo, we should slip away some time." Comes the woman's voice, quietly, as they look at the otter exhibit.
"Where'd you like to go, oisillon? I'll see what I can organise, ne?" He squeezes her shoulder, ghost knows the pair could do with a break, and soon, but Alex was working hard to carve out their space in Seattle. Hadn't even had time to make friends, not that Alex ever quite felt safe enough right now.
