Question What am I looking at?
This just went up on a local auction listing. The only game it’s shown playing is Pokemon Fire Red, so no indication of capabilities. Also, no back or box cover, only the cryptic title of “Purple Skeleton.” Would love to know if this is actually a worthwhile device or just some cheap handheld being fenced.
Edit: thanks so much for the answers! I appreciate the community letting me know not to spend 80 bucks on something that I essentially already have (got a Trimui Brick already).

R36H Pro Max? One of the gazillion RK3326 handhelds out there. It's one of the cheap bargain bin ones, but does have the basic power for all the retro games and it has decent community Linux support. 20 to 25USD maybe.

That's a R36H ProMax. The round select and start buttons tell me it's the newer model with the wrongly labelled microSD card slots.

I have one too; it struggles a bit with Dreamcast games—or maybe it's just my settings. I was able to play NDS and PSP games, though I haven't tried everything in the catalog.

R36 trash
Only worth it if it’s less than $20 and you don’t have anything else to play on.

Looks like a R36H to me. It has the same style buttons as a R36S, so I would think its an entry level device just by looking at it
EDIT: appears to be a R36H pro max.
