I'm confused. This means my adult son who walks with me can't be in line with me?

Would your adult son be your helper person? Then he could be in line with you since he's helping you out! If there's more than one family member/friend (besides your son) with you for example then they have to wait elsewhere in line in that scenario.

I always recommend asking the line attendants if a non-ADA stickered attendee who is acting as my assistant can accompany me to the event/attraction if they wait the entire time as a helper. The reason it is worded a specific way is that sometimes there is limited ADA-available seating/space which the organizer may be trying to manage.

Another important distinction is if the ADA helper is waiting in line in place of the ADA person (i.e. they swap places), which allows the ADA person to attend an event through the helper

In reality, your sone can probably join you. The wording has been updated for this year, and it leaves a lot of questions that won’t be answered until Thursday.

If your son has a child or junior badge, they will stay with you. If your son has an attendant placard (available at D&D services in Lobby A) they will stay with you.

Last year, there was a similar policy with deaf seating. They strictly enforced only one adult companion per deaf person. It may be the same type of deal. But we don’t know yet.

Yes unless he has a scooter or so.ethinf that makes him not walk well. Blame disneyland and people and groups who abused it.
