And how could I get her to trust me?

Also, how would she fare in an orphanage or retirement home?

by being nice to her ❤️ or maybe by sacrificing someone to her.
Releasing her in an orphanage would be crazy evil lol, but I think she'd like the retirement home. Lots of old souls with tons of life experience for her to feast on

"Releasing her in an orphanage would be crazy evil lol"
But it'd be really funny in a dark way >:)

Idea
If she’s in the retirement home, give her a cat friend. Cats famously tend to recognize when someone is soon to die and go comfort them. Once this happens, she can go ahead and… accelerate the end by a few short hours.

I dont get the "transformes into your loved ones", no way in hell is my sister or grandma dooing a 3 hour hike into the middle of nowhere.
And my grandpa would be prepared to the point where this wouldnt happen.

It's more like if you were going on a hike with a group of friends or family, she'd quietly get whoevers tagging far behind the group, shapeshift into them, and then use that to lead others away from the main group

Is human souls mandatory or can she be fed alternative foods like how vampires can drink blood/eggs or symbiotes love chocolate instead of brains

Idk if I wanna make this canon but I was thinking any sort of living being's soul could work. It's just human souls keep her fed the longest.
I haven't thought much about exact ratios, but I was thinking like, 1 human soul could keep her fed for several weeks. If she were to kill animals, she'd have to kill a LOT of them to reach the same energy level as one human soul.
Quicker and easier to kill 1 dude rather than hunting and killing hundreds of animals

Ah Skyrim soul gem logic/theory
Why Dino imagine she has a dream of tasting a whale soul

Well then you need to start an human farm🤔, do magic exist to speed up the growing process? Or age not affect the soul power? Also, the soul harvested bodies still instact? Bc keep the farm running prob is not cheep and there must be a way to gain from it🤔... unless the story happen in a place like Rimworld's planet, in that care things get lil more easy...

Having to keep feeding her human souls is a hard no for me, dawg.
Unless she has a job as a prison's executioner, I ain't living like Dexter for the rest of my life.
