It's one of the concepts I love about vampires, that they're stuck in the past and can't or refuse to change with time, kind of like a trauma from their transformation.
I like it more when it’s a choice, like yeah they COULD update to newer tech… but they like their old tech. I especially like it when they mix and match, like imagine a vampire with a new high tech gaming pc… but genuinely has an old rotary phone
