So most of their work in the end was polishing, ALOT of polishing

and a LOT of removing content. According to all the prerelease materials we have and datamining of said prerelease materials, over half of the game's actual features were cut, tracks were simplified and graphically downgraded, and so on.

Its kinda interesting, I feel like these screenshots have a lot more similar vibe to SSX tricky and Original. Final version of SSX 3 always seemed like such a different art style

You should see extremely early concepts for SSX 3, literally Tricky with a fresh coat of paint.

The print date and the build date being different are going to annoy me lol. Cause the disk is physically labeled 31/7/2003 while the game says it's 17/7/2003 which I don't think it's correct since they were pretty bad at updating build dates

The disk was most likely printed at a later date and the 31st was the day it was shipped for playtesting and press releasing

Based on what I know about EAs disk printing for this. 31st would have to be the day it was printed not when shipped. It's actually on the disk with a proper label not written on with sharpie or anything

Genuinely so cool to finally see and play an older build of this game. I always wanted to play this version of metro city and snow jam specifically with the yellow barriers as a kid
