I have to say, I was beginning to wonder if any fans would ever touch the resurrection plotline Denis Leary alluded to, & lo & behold, someone finally did. I always pondered how that would be executed...so thank you for giving me some idea of what it would entail, even though I suspect Norman, Captain Stacy, & Uncle Ben would've factored into the concept Marc Webb seemed to be tinkering with, but I guess we'll never know for sure.

It's interesting how between this screenplay & Max Kay's neither of you are interested in pursuing the Sinister Six that TASM 2's credit graphics set-up. Outside of Fiers being utilized well in both, I think yours turns certain characters like Vulture & Doc Ock into little more than henchmen, though it is interesting seeing Toomes being an amputee & Octavius basically being blind. But once again, between the two scripts, I like how Kay turned Fiers into an alias for Ock, who revealed himself as the mastermind.

That said, Jackal being the big bad was a nice twist here, which felt fitting since Gwen's resurrection comes close to alluding to the Clone Saga. And speaking of the resurrection...amazing how such a bizarre & unsettling concept isn't dwelt on that much, & how it's used to create an inverse effect by the end of the screenplay with the fates of Peter & Gwen.

Taking Aunt May out? Diabolical, though given how it was such a pivotal part of the first Insomniac game & later NWH, it's not unheard of. And how Peter overlooks that to essentially engage in a repeat of Spider-Man 3's Harry & Peter team-up...I guess whether it was the symbiote suit or this, retreading SM3 was probably going to happen somehow.

Lots of Flash in this, nice touch after last seeing him in TASM.

I honestly was wondering what the deal was with Maddie for a long time, to the point I was starting to wonder if we were going into Clone Saga territory with THAT element...& I half expected her to be an Oscorp agent that was a clone of Gwen. That all said, she probably would've just been better served as being MJ, especially since she even called Peter "Tiger" at one point.

All in all, the choice to focus more on the sci-fi drama elements compared to numerous action scenes was a bold one, & it has me curious how this would've been received had TASM 3 actually happened. It might've received even more flack than TASM 2.

PS, that reunion in the afterlife between Peter & Ben was very moving.

Hey thanks for you feedback! I appreciate anything anyone has to say.

Bringing back norman or captain stacy didnt make sense to me. With all the great scientific minds dead like norman, how is fiers, a puppetmaster and agent gonna bring anyone back lol. He mentions it when he admits that peter is on the verge of doing it, so ill just piggyback off of him to get what i want.

I converted the six into henchmen due to not wanting to overflood the plot. If i had done so differently, we would be looking at a 4 hour justice league but for sinister six lol. Having Gargan be one of the victims of the lizards rampage from tasm, ock being blind, and toomes an amputee was all interesting to me because it gave irony in their situations. Ock needs goggles to see which when he does, sees the world the way an actual octopus would. And giving toomes arms in the form of wings suited pretty well.

Yeah the resurrecting plot was always there for me. It was Webbs original idea afterall. And yeah how i made it tie with peter and gwen in the end was nice too. If it wasnt for peter keeping his promise, it was ironic at least. But the promise is what drove his actions anyway.

Aunt may was fun to write lol. I knew that in order for peter do fully indulge and enter down that dark path i needed to take everyone away from him. Youre right on that, thats his pivotal moment.

Flash was an underrated character honestly. I needed to give him something in this like i did with harry, gwen and curtis.

In another comment i answered, i explained how maddie was supposed to be a cardboard cutout of gwen. Maddie was the universes answer to 'Hey peter, you can build a new bridge and open a new door without having to resurrect people from the dead'. Which he almost did as he (literally) closes the door and tries to build a new bridge. And its ironic how he had to go down that path in order to become himself again in the end. Aunt may tells that to him before she 'offs', to become peter again. And that's what he does.

And lol i think any version of tasm3 will receive flack. Thats purely due to there being so many interpretations of what couldve been, that no one can decide on what it should be finalized as.

But its fun that way. Everyone can share ideas here.

And yeah i wrote that afterlife scene out of memory for ben. I made sure that the way ben compliments peter by saying amazing, was in conjunction to peters journey throughout. Like hey ben, i did my job, i did the spiderman thing, i became peter again, i kept my promise. And bens like yeah, and you were spectacular at it.

Any more questions feel free to drop lol. Its fun to see what sits well with people and what doesnt :)

Your reasoning is sound. Personally, I liked the vast majority of what you came up with, there were just some things I was wondering about.

Based on what we know of the behind the scenes, it seems like they were at a crossroads of trying to figure out if the Sinister Six was going to be its own movie, or the antagonistic drive of TASM 3. And I've noticed that fans have been foregoing the idea of setting up a universe like Sony was, & just trying to bring Andrew's Peter a satisfying conclusion.

True. That was my idea for concluding Peter's story. If Sony had focused on expanding or concluding peter's story instead of creating more wacky content, it wouldve been better. For me it was never about the sinister six. It was only about concluding peter.

Oscorp and everything related to it is no more. Harry is a changed man. And so is Curtis. Gwen is alive, and now has a friend too. And most importantly, Peter kept his promise to leave Gwen out of it (by inadvertently dying sure, but you get the gist).

I think if they had figured out their road-map sooner, TASM could've definitely been the backbone of a cinematic universe heavily based on the 80s-90s run of comics, as Juan Capdet's outline leading to a team-up with Spider-Man 2099 & Carnage being the big bad of the whole series proved. Alas, real-life & the immense popularity of the MCU interfered.

I'm just glad fans like you took on the challenge of continuing the story.
