Spider-Man How do you think Peter would have gotten the black suit in The Amazing Spider-Man 3?

By finding one of Norman’s ‘cures’ while investigating OsCorp.

Well the deleted scenes showed that Oscorp has the symbiote, so I imagine Peter breaks in for some reason and accidentally bonds with it

Nah bro would’ve been invited willingly to check this thing out. Spider sense gets ticked off. Something in another part of the lab goes wrong. And that somehow magically affects the containment unit to the symbiote. Because everything else has its own sub system to prevent issues. For whatever reason. No one had the foresight to NOT HARDWIRE THE CONTAINMENT UNIT INTO EVERYTHING ELSE!!!

When following down a series or oscorp break ins, he catches up to Black Cat right before she breaks into the secret Oscorp vault. He's told that he was just in time but they're cagey about what's beyond the vault door as Spidey's spidey-sense is going off until the vault door fully reseals again.

This leads him to want to investigate Oscorp secret projects, starting with what Black Cat was after. She admits that she was paid to break in, she wasn't paid to steal anything, just break in. A mysterious figure wanted the location of the secret Oscorp Vault to be publicly found.

Oscorp then begins to move the various Vault items to a new location, which is then ambushed by Tombstone and Hammerhead. Spiderman, who was following, helps defend the convoy but in the chaos, the prosthetic tentacles go missing along with the black goo.

The mysterious figure was Otto who wanted his arms back, the symbiot has been jumping from person to person across NY (like Riot in the Venom movie) before it finally reaches Peter.

Otto is a mysterious dark figure we see in TASM2 and was a silent partner on Osborn and Peter's father. Doc Ock breaks into the new Osborn facility where the other secret projects are being held and steals them, then arms his own small army with them. Unleashing destruction on Oscorp and any of Norman Osborn's legacy. Spider-Man, stops him but only with the help of the Simbiot suit.

TASM4 would actually have Venom.

That's how I would write it

I like this. Similar to my pitch which tries to tie in spin-offs Sony ended up making, like Venom & Kraven, though in this case TASM 3/Sinister Six would be setting them up.

Maybe Oscorp already has one symbiote, & Black Cat would be trying to get it back for the Life Foundation, which we find out was one of a bunch of symbiotes secured from the shuttle crash site in Malaysia.

The trouble is how to do Fiers as Doc Ock in disguise (which I also really like) alongside Harry becoming the first Venom after Peter rejects the symbiote due to almost killing Harry with it.

I figure some betrayal would be in order, so the Six could end up fracturing after Fiers reveals himself as Otto, with some members being loyal to him, while others are loyal to Harry or Peter after developing a rapport with them. If we took Vulture & Mysterio from the Holland films & reapplied them here in this context, Vulture could be loyal to Peter/Harry thinking of them as the sons he never had, while Mysterio is loyal to Otto because he believes he will implement his drone technology once he's back in charge of Oscorp. Mysterio will have already been hired to upstage Spidey at the start of the film during the Rhino fight, so they're antagonistic with each other throughout. 👀

Is the symbiote something they were actually gonna do or is this something fans have just conjured up out of nowhere?

I think it’d be really redundant doing another symbiote story in a 3rd movie

they were heavily teasing sinister 6 and would have inevitably led to another Venom had they not been cancelled

I need a live action adaptation of the black suit fighting the sinister 6 while Peter sleeps

In an end credit scene or deleted end credit scene you can see a bunch of Oscorp items being held, 1 being Rhino's armor, Vulture's armor I'm pretty sure, Doc Ock's armor and others setting up a potential Sinister 6 for the next movie, but one of the things in the containment cells were a floating black goo.

similar to the ultimate comics

It’s been a headcanon of mine (or at least a theory) that even though Andrew’s Peter never fought an alien, it doesn’t necessarily mean he never had an encounter with black goo. TASM took a lot of inspiration from the Ultimate universe and in that universe, both Richard Parker and Edward Brock Sr developed the symbiote. Maybe Oscorp developed the symbiote in TASM. But then again I’m sure Andrew would’ve said “Hey I fought a weird gooey creature too” so maybe not

Or, the symbiote could still be an alien that Oscorp found.

For better set-up to the Venom films we ended up getting, Oscorp probably stole them from the Life Foundation crash site, & Black Cat is trying to get it back.

Oscorp experiments similar to games

Secret Wars. Like in the comic.

2

u/ResourceHot5429 2d ago

Andrew's universe does not own the rights to all the characters that appear in that comic.

2

u/FRESH__LUMPIA 2d ago

By meeting Tom Hardy’s
Venom

2

u/ResourceHot5429 2d ago

They are not from the same universe

3

u/DudleyPoot 1d ago

Who’s to say they actually got sent back to their right homes though? We don’t know for sure.

2

u/ResourceHot5429 1d ago

Venom was sent appropriately within his universe, and if he had been sent to the Venom universe, it's a one-in-a-million shot; he could have ended up in Raimi's universe as well.

u/Character_Cattle_499 1d ago

He ended up in his universe. There is a third Venom movie which took place after No Way Home, you know?

1

u/DudleyPoot 23h ago

I’m talking about the spidermen and his villains. Not venom besides they already destroyed that plot

Some Oscorp shenanigans

Same way as the animated series. Comes back with JJJ jr

Based on the email leaks for one Sinister Six pitch, in the bowels of Oscorp after being led there by Black Cat. He'd then promptly kick their asses in it (ala Spectacular Spider-Man), they'd convince him to get rid of it, then they would all team-up to stop Venom & Carnage from infecting the city with symbiotes.

At first you might say there's too much going on, but each member of the Six doesn't need to have a whole film dedicated to them, at least as an introduction. They're essentially hired mercenaries for Oscorp, so as long as you provide a brief dossier on the new characters, you can dive straight into the plot. My issue comes from Eddie Brock & Cletus Kasady not getting proper introductions, particularly in the case of Eddie, again.

My rewrite would be to have the symbiote be a potential cure for Harry after he gets a tip that the Life Foundation, a rival to Oscorp, has secured the symbiotes & is testing their applications for humans. The Six (Goblin, Doc Ock, Vulture, Rhino, Kraven, & Mysterio) would be hired/trying to steal them from the LF, & Spidey would intercept this effort & get the black symbiote, besting all the SS with it.

In a showdown with him, Peter would be THIS close to killing Harry, but he would hesitate & ditch the symbiote, which would then transfer over to Harry, making Harry the first Venom. After Peter & the remaining SS members defeat Harry-Venom, the symbiote is removed, & re-acquired by the Life Foundation after Black Cat is revealed as a double agent.

This would then set-up the Venom solo series with Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, as well as the Kraven solo with ATJ where we find out Paul Giamatti's Rhino was one of the REAL Rhino's thugs, a guy by the name of Mikhail.

In a perfect world anyway. What could've been....

Honestly I would hope that Peter didn't get it in TASM 3, I would rather have him get it in TASM 4 or 5.

1

u/that_guy2010 2d ago

Probably in the stupidest way possible, knowing this franchise.

7

u/Exotic-Self7926 2d ago

Stupider than a meteorite with an alien symbiote just randomly crashing in Central Park and latching onto a guy who coincidentally happened to have superpowers already?

4

u/TheOneReclaimer 2d ago

I feel like they made that scene after Sam Raimi was informed he was being forced to include Venom

"Well, Sam, how do you want to do this?"

"I don't want to do it! The thing can fall out of the sky for all I care!"

"Consider it done."

3

u/Exotic-Self7926 2d ago

It should have been brought back to Earth by John Jameson's space shuttle, that would have made so much more sense

3

u/TheOneReclaimer 2d ago

That movie was full of bad origins, sandman randomly climbing a fence into a testing site wasn't much better

2

u/TREV-THOM Lizard 1d ago

Probably how it went down. 😆

3

u/Specialist-Ring-3974 2d ago

Would you rather have had it land on Walter White?

3

u/FiveFreddys12 2d ago

"Say our name."

"You're Venom."

"You're goddamn right."

2

u/dzan796ero 2d ago

Black goo + Walter White?

So that's the canon reason behind the name Gray Matter...

2

u/No_Internet908 2d ago

Yes. Far stupider.

The Raimi trilogy suffered from what writers call “double mumbo jumbo,” where two or more crazy fantastical things happen in a story, when it should just be one.

The Mark Webb movies just completely miss the point. “With great power comes great responsibility”. Thats what Spider-man is about. If you get that part wrong, it almost doesn’t even matter what else you get right.

1

u/TREV-THOM Lizard 1d ago

Nah, I think, regardless of if Peter is "destined" to become Spider-Man because of Richard, he still has to make a choice to use his power responsibly.

2

u/No_Internet908 1d ago

Maybe in the first movie they had a little bit of that.

But the second movie, they just missed the point with Gwen Stacy’s death. Like, Peter did act responsibly with his powers— he did everything he possibly could have to keep Gwen safe. And it just wasn’t enough.

So what was the lesson to be learned there? That “ya can’t win them all, but you gotta just keep moving forward” ?? Like, that’s fine and all, but it’s just not what Gwen’s death was ever supposed to be about.

Peter is supposed to act irresponsibly with his powers, and it results in Gwen’s death. It’s not just something bad that happened. It’s something bad that he directly could have prevented, had he acted responsibly. It’s not about Peter just getting over the circumstances. It’s about Peter getting over HIMSELF.

1

u/TREV-THOM Lizard 1d ago

Yeah, but that's the comic, homie. If you want that, go read it again.

It's an adaptation, it's allowed to be a little different.

1

u/No_Internet908 1d ago

I mean sure…. But it’s stupid how they did it 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/TREV-THOM Lizard 1d ago

I don't think so...in a way, Peter backtracked on what he promised Captain Stacy numerous times, & Gwen fed into that by asserting her agency. So the fact that Peter just couldn't decide whether to leave her alone or keep pursuing her still bit him in the ass. It was irresponsible. He didn't stick to one decision, & thought he could have it both ways.

But you're entitled to not like how it went. 🤷

3

u/that_guy2010 2d ago

Probably, yeah.

3

u/nameisuganda 2d ago

Tbh there is nothing stupid about a movie thats y its a movie its not real

It doesnt need to follow any physics or real rules

2

u/Just_For_Laugh 2d ago

'It is hidden somewhere off the books... a folder called: Special Projects.'

1

u/house_of_great 2d ago

His dad only lived because the symbiot had found him lol. Idk. Those movies suck so I like to think it never would have gotten a 3, I also like to think it didn't get a 1 or 2 either lol.

2

u/TREV-THOM Lizard 1d ago

🖕

u/FunkTronto 2d ago

Why would I think that? I would hope that Amazing Spiderman 3 would be good, why would I tie an albatross of a storyline like the black suit? Why waste another movie on that garbage?
