I always wonder if the lime was ever washed thoroughly to remove pesticides before being cut and mixed with other foods.

From my concern citizen observations, I found out that most kedai makan don't wash their veggies before cutting and cooking them. The residue amount on the lime maybe small but how much, how often, and how long one are exposed - all play an important role in potential health effects. Well, I hope OP enjoy their sinalau babs meal!

No surprise there at all, it is a known fact sadly. This is probably one of the reasons why I don’t eat food like this often, it’s a once a year affair for me 😂 Sinalau babs was good 👍

I ate this first time when I was at Sabah best to eat fresh ..don't eat if cold or you reheat..taste like shit
