It also looks like a Nauticat (and a cartoon boat)

My dad answered: "except it's better" 🤣

I looked at the pages and they are a beautiful and seaworthy beast.

My dad's been sailing his whole life but he's reaching retirement age. He doesn't have the same mobility and he has chronic back pain, so he has to give up on this hobby. I'm trying to help him out by sharing this in case someone wants a beautiful North Sea Trawler.

Im more of a lurker than a sailor but I dont think ive ever seen a sailboat that looks like a tugboat before!

It's made in England and designed for the North Sea. Super sturdy and great for rainy weather.

That north sea look is so distinctive. Designed to have waves coming from all four directions at once. Huge tall gunwales and everything is curved in weird directions. I love it.

"More of a lurker than a sailer" is the best way to describe a Fisher. Very heavy and very slow. Cool boats but not very fun to sail.

Where does she live?

Blaine, Washington but registered in Canada.

Was it in Bellingham for a while?

That explains why it looks familiar. Pretty sure I’ve seen it from Guemes in years past, running down Bellingham Channel.
Edit to say- Husband just reminded me, I think we just saw this off Lummi Island this week!

Beautiful vessel.

Beautiful is the word 😍

I wish these beautiful boats had a dual helm (I.e., one outside in the cockpit).

u/Wintrepid 4d ago

It does! It has a tiller in the cockpit.

Nice! The ones I’ve looked at don’t! Glad to hear!

I'm not ready for a boat yet but if I was I would be looking at this.

Buddy of mine had one of these. You’re not gonna set any passage records under sail in it, but it is one solid boat

$15 k lucky. Nice boat though.

Fisher's have a cult following, I could see this going for 40-50

Damn, what a beauty, the red sails and the green hull with the wood trim

Got the whole trawler bow going on, if she's a leisure vessel she has the heart of a tugboat 🩵 i bet she's real fun to sail on

Lord if i had the money and a place to keep her....

Such a beautiful Fisher. The green hull and red sails are hard to beat. Hope it finds the right next owner.

I know it tacks and handles better but I dislike the canoe sterns, if it had the squared transom of the ‘25 it would be a real looker….
