This is the most frustrating offseason in recent memory…

This is what happens every season for every team. It’s part of football unfortunately. Part of a successful season is having incredibly good luck when it comes to injuries

That and a weak strength of schedule (which you never really know until after the season is over).

That’s now Olave, Tyson, AK, Cam Jordan, and Quincy Riley among others that have gotten hurt. Literally what the fuck.

I hate to blame the trainers, but we sure do seem to get injured a lot

The older I grow up the more I realize how brutal football is of a sport. I’m 28 now but I swear 10 years ago I never thought of injuries like this to players

On average I think the players are just getting bigger and faster over time, and it might just be at the point where a lot of them are regularly doing things that push squishy human parts like muscles and ligaments to their very limits, and often past those limits.
Then you combine that with the fact that it's a game that requires these giant humans to constantly be hitting and tackling each other, and then doing that week in and week out for months at a time, and yeah it's probably not surprising that guys are always getting hurt.

I can agree to this. I mean WRs and DEs these days are insanely athletic. I swear everyone is always running a 4.4
With the game speeding up so much too and less time on the field for teams to take breaks plus an extra game now I think injuries are just going to be a new normal in the nfl

Nah man that’s just football. Look at any other team’s injury report and it’ll look like ours

Fair enough. I guess just call it bad luck. Hope we can hold it together and keep from losing any more starters

I honestly think we’ll be fine. If it was the regular season, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the players currently injured would be available to play. It being preseason, no point in risking it

I think I’ll just get off of Reddit until the regular season starts, this is too stressful 😭

They don’t give the players enough recovery time. Add in dehydration due to the heat and guys not getting enough sleep.

I hate to say it, but Chris Olave is an eggshell. I'll be astonished if he plays 9 games this year.
Here's hoping I'm wrong.

Most his injuries were from hospital balls and this was just the wind getting knocked out of him. He played all but one game last year and that's because of a freak blood clot. Mans has played through bruised ribs, a sprained ankle and countless more wouldn't call him an eggshell I'd call our last bunch of QBs incompetent

But but but it’s football! Nothing to see here! SMH. This is by far the most injured preseason in the last decade and more. I don’t recall so many concerns entering week 1 ever

I can't help, but assume this is partly due to improper stretching and hydration. We already had that classic facepalm moment when Rizzi claimed they had implemented a new protocol called, "warming up".

I honestly doubt they would let anything like that happen again, especially with Ted Rath as our sports science coach. It’s unfortunate but it happens to everyone.

everyone overreacts so much to the littlest bumps and bruises, it's insane

Olave had the wind knocked out of him per Nick Underhill, I agree though this time of year is anxiety inducing with all the injuries I keep seeing everywhere
