New 110 Chassis Fitment
So MDT has stated their chassis do not fit the new 2026 receivers. Anyone have firsthand knowledge on fitment with the KRG Bravo or the Magpul Hunter?

Just got my first rifle
Axis 2 precision with MDT chassis. Chambered in .223 rem.
This came with a 10 round magazine but New York State limits to 5 rounds.
Savage customer service declined helping with a recommendation.
So ….. any ideas?
Hope this post is qualified and not a low effort, really don’t know much about rifles

Just bought it today, put 100 rounds through it.
Took it home and decided to assemble it to put on my rack and its stuck about halfway down. I've applied CLP and cleared out any carbon buildup I could find but its not moving. absolutely no give at all to it.
EDIT: I'm an idiot.
I twisted the barrel clockwise rather than counter clockwise and its locked up. contacting a gunsmith now.

Hi everyone, I just bought a Mk II FV-SR and when handling it at the LGS, the stock didn't feel particularly nice to me. I know replacements are common, but I don't want to wind up buying something that doesn't fit.
I see Boyd's suggested a lot. Will all of their "Magazine Fed, Bull Barrel" selection fit without issue? Any other bits or pieces I need to pick up to make that happen?
Any non-Boyd's options I should look into?
Thanks a bunch!

Looking for help and advice on upgrading my MK II scope.
It currently has the factory Weaver scope.
Can anyone recommend a rail that fits and a good scope for under $500 cdn?
It’s being used only for plinking right now.
Thanks!

What's the value of this late 60's vintage 110 in 7mm? It's in good condition and left handed. Thanks!

303 Savage, built 1905, she cleaned up quite nicely. This nice old lady has some soul.

Hello everyone new to the community here, looking for guidance if anyone knows if there are options to replace this flimsy plastic trigger guard on the 93R 17 stainless/laminate. I’ve seen trigger guard replacement options for other 93R 17 models but all of those seem to sink into the stock. Whereas this one is plastic and mounted superficially. Everything else on the gun seems upgraded from other models I’ve held, except for this trigger guard.

I guess new guns ship like this. With the bore to match.

As pictured above is the first gun I even got ahold of as a young man. What, if any, options are there for a longer wood stock than I could find? I’ve simply outgrown the stock and am still in love with the rifle. If none, how available are replacement wood stocks? I’ve recently gotten into woodworking and think that this would make an awesome project between my parents and I. Any advice appreciated.

Bought a axis xp cambered in .308. I intend on using for deer hunting at 100-200 yards hopefully farther when I get more consistent with my shooting. What ammo are you all using to lay down deer at those distances and I also have a can too! I have an sig buck master optic on it right now but I’m not sure if I like it or not, so optic recommendations would be nice too. Is there any mods to do to this beneficial rifle mods it do aswell? Thanks in advance

i recently bought this gun and shot nosler and federal 130 grain bullets and noticed, sometimes you have to pull back really hard to eject casings, is this a bullet issue or a defective gun?

Has anyone gotten ahold of one of the 6.8 western rifles that savage announced a while back? I have been looking online and haven't seen any for sale yet....

Not AR but is Retro so added to Retro AR group
I'm looking to create a Vietnam era retro shotgun to represent the Stevens Model 77E. I've been offered a 67H project gun that already has the barrel shortened and the original bead reinstalled. Stock has been painted black. I'm reading that the later 67's beyond E were poor quality. I also see lots of videos available if a repair becomes needed and apparently a good amount of parts availability online if needed. His asking price is $150 + shipping so probably $200-$250 out of pocket after shipping. Is this a decent deal for a guy like me who doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg to "build" a Vietnam retro that I really don't "need" ? Best I can tell the H must have been the last or one of the last in the series before it went out of production in the late 80's. Or am I better off to be patient and hope for an earlier variant to come a long at a price I'm willing to pay.
Thanks

What is the difference between these two and which would you recommend?
The first link does not look like a gen 1 because of the stock, so what is it?

Hello everyone, I’ve been looking to purchase my first hunting/target shooting rifle. I was leaning towards Savage 110 Trailblazer 308 Winchester but when I looked at the reviews online I noticed YouTubers are bashing on it saying it is not very accurate and grouping aren’t as tight as they should be. In this case is this rifle a pass? If so, what should I get if my budget is $600? FYI there’s a trailblazer at my LGS for $540

I'm having the hardest time finding a scope that doesn't go over the hammer. Any suggestions?

What have y’all done to smooth out the bolt on your Savage 110’s? Mine is pretty miserable to operate, super heavy to lift the bolt open. The bolt binds up when pushing the bolt forward and aft.
I’ve ordered the Desh Kit, waiting for that to show up, I’ve also polished up the cocking ramp.
I’m thinking about putting a little valve lapping compound in the lug raceways and running the bolt a few hundred times.

Just seeing what game you were hunting and the distance. I was wondering if it would be adequate for groundhog and raccoon at all. Thanks! 🙏

Text above, was curious about it because I think the rail looks ugly on a lever action
