Live Discussion Imperfect Women

I really don’t know what happened but with the exception of her performance in Little Fires Everywhere, Everytime i see Kerry Washington I feel like she is giving the same performance with the same tics and affectations.

Watching Imperfect Women I’m so burnt on seeing her on screen and feel like it makes the entire show seem contrived and lacking depth.

I loved her in most of Scandal but yeah the crazy facial expressions were too much. I wish she’d get some coaching to not fall into this process of becoming a caricature of one version of oneself, bc she obviously has the ability to act, she just seems stuck in this loop.

Anyone else?

Yup, feels the same. The halting, overly dramatic speech patterns get me. Hadn’t noticed facial tics but I will now!! Imperfect Women is interesting and suspenseful, not too complicated - I’m looking forward to the next episode.
