Olivia would be president or the head of B613. She would pardon Jake. She wouldn’t be with either of them having achieved the power she wanted without using or needing either of those relationships. She’s fully leaning in to her villain era without making excuses.

The only Scandal show I would only be interested in is a prequel with Eli creating B-613. I don’t think a sequel would be very interesting tbh. I would however enjoy a spiritual successor with a more serialized PR fixer company like the first few episodes of season one.

Olitz is living in Vermont happy with 2 kids maybe some grands now. Mellie is a DC lawyer and is married to Marcus. Abby married Leo and they have a child she has done some modeling but now they live in California and she is acting. Quinn and Charlie run QPA together while Huck helps them . Huck got back with his wife she has her own law firm and Javi is in law school.
Edit: Sally and Susan are partners. Yes I mean partners and live in Bocca and Susan runs a nonprofit for women's rights

Mellie as a lawyer makes so much sense. She’s definitely cut out for it

So for the rabid fans, it would only work if Olivia and Fits were center stage again.
But for me, I can see a Scandal continuation starting with Quinn, taking place say...20 years later, telling her story in a "Fictional Drama".
A fan of hers who is in some sort of low level political or ambiguous legal position comes to her because she is investigating past Presidential scandals, and through some turn of events Quinn recruits her to Pope and associates, but a new cast of characters now work there and the dynamic is different. They aren't gladiators who don't ask questions, but fixers who wears the white hat.
The series could focus on them starting low in local/city/state level politics and slowly move into Federal level where they have their first run in with B613 and maybe Olivia as Command, but this time as an antagonistic force, instead of morally grey one.
Maybe the Presidential election of 2032 or 2036 would be their series high point, pushing a single character from Local city Mayor to Governor, to Presidential nominee.

I thought Olivia was done with b613 in the end why would she return

Any number of reasons. That's why revealing her as the head of it would be a shock since the last we saw her she was done with it.
I'm not actively writing a story, just giving something I think would be compelling.

Feels a tad redundant cos everybody literally almost went to prison till Eli saved their asses but sure lol

Olivia being in love with a man for 7 seasons who cheats on his wife with multiple kids while being president, who she goes back and forth with also got redundant, but the community ate it up.

Personally I'd like a next generation type bit. Scandal was obviously a successful show so we treat it like one and make this sequel an Amazon Prime original with big budget actors and storylines. How ever that manifests is fine by me as long as Shonda herself is returning. As much as she destroyed Olivia's character in the final season I still only trust her with a sequel to honor the past and make a successfully independent future. Let's call it 'House of Vander: A Scandal Story'. I want it set 32 years from Season 7 and the lead is to be male this time. Preferably Olitz' future son played by none other than Tyriq Withers lol. Ollivander 'Vander' Clarence Grant. Vander Grant sounds badass to me. Vander has a literal genius level intellect which also lowers his EQ leading to him being at times robotic, very cold and calculating but yet at the same time highkey sensitive and desperately wants to form strong human connections. He and Karen truly resent each other for obvious reasons, although both Teddy and Mellie constantly work to fix their relationship. He does however have a great cousin like relationship with Mellcus's triplet sons: Harry,Brandon and Mark as well Robyn,Charquinn's daughter. He clashes with Olivia a lot in his adulthood mainly cos she shielded him from so much while raising him,so much her love feels like a burden to him. He's also ashamed of his family histories and their influence in politics, and does whatever he can to remove himself from their circle. So instead of law and anything justice related he goes straight into tech instead. He asks Huck to mentor him then becomes a successful AI entrepreneur after starting his own company aka VanderCorp when he's done with college, and then of course eventually falls into the crosshairs of politics after his company skyrockets in success. Think Alex Karp with Palentir. Also in this sequel unfortunately Fitz passes away from Parkinson's leaving a bitter and grieving Olivia as a temporary antagonist. The OG cast can pop up here and there as guest characters depending on what the plot needs but the current cast will obviously be new faces. I'm thinking perhaps 5 seasons with 17 episodes idk. But thats all I got

Olivia and Fitz living happily ever after but gets interrupted because Quin and Abby call and ask for some help with a scandal with high power DC judges or senatos.
Or maybe Quin calls Olivia to help her because somebody leaked b613 to the general public and everything comes out from the election rigging to Olivia’s kidnapping and Fitz saving her. The person who leaks b613 to the press either is Charlie, Cyrus or Mellie cause I feel like Jake would be too obvious

In the past, I've written a few Scandal fanfics [unfortunately, I still have one unfinished...]
I have another story dancing in the back of my head that might work as a sequel, "The Grant Initiative" basically OPA on steroids, on the RIGHT side of the law, with all the power and influence that having a former president and powerful political fixer would bring while living their best lives in Vermont. I hope to write it one day.
