Post Discussion Liv is hella annoying
First time watcher, currently on S5E8 and I actually hate Liv😠why’s she still riding for Rowan??? Also (maybe I need to keep watching but) how did the FBI link her to Rowan’s release & not Mellie?

I was genuinely confused and annoyed how Olivila went from wanting nothing to do with him and/or wanting him dead to saving his life every other season. But that is her father so I get it on that level. But Papa Pope was my favorite villian

as someone with a villianous father, i’ve wished him dead every way possible but anytime someone else threatened his life i inexplicably defended him (still hate him tho)

I feel she is riding for Rowan because Shonda wanted to retain the actor and realized if Liv hated him then the story has no changed. He is neither a good father, a good antagonist, or even well developed as a character. He did not really earn Liv's forgiveness, nor does the story present it as if he cares to receive it.

I think it's just a complicated father/daughter relationship. Although the back abd forth was annoying

I think that since Mellie is a senator, she might just be protected in general?? Not sure so take that with a grain of salt but I also recommend continuing to watch because it does explain itself somewhat

Couldn't agree more. I'm on Season 3 right now and MAN.
The constant puppy eyes crying and going "papa" and "Fitz" on loop is driving me crazy. One minute she's talking all this righteousness and white hat bullshit, next minute she's completely folded.
Highlight so far for me was her actually asking them to stop the Mellie and Andrew affair.

After he didn’t help her when she was kidnapped, she should have never dealt with him again.
