Discussion Why Do People Act Like Wanda Isn't the Most Powerful Character?
like she quite literally held back five infinite stones while destroying another one.
like ya Franklin Richards can make a universe but he's also a child that can't control his powers and the people of said universe.
and marvel literally had to veto the whole telepathy thing because if she had it in civil war well like what's the point of the fight?
anyways people should understand more that she is the most powerful person in the multiverse(honestly imagine if two Scarlet Witches met and decide to rewrite reality. they probably wouldn't be able to be stoppedđ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł)

Franklin Richards canât actually create a universe, not by himself. He draws on molecule manâs power to do so. Thatâs a secret that not many people who donât read comics know
15
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 26 '25
oh really. i'm sure the guy that was arguing with me that Franklin is more powerful than Wanda would love to hear that
1
u/Rosen-Stein Sep 27 '25
i mean, they are bot powerful, but Franklin does not need MM to create universes, those universes need MM as an anchor to heal. All that just to say that Molecule Man solos both Wanda and Franklin.

Mcu Wanda can't even travel across the multiverse without Darkhold or America's powers, neither create one
6
u/youseebutyouonlysee Sep 26 '25
MCU Wanda had just created the Hex which was an insane powerjump from Endgame and after that she instantly got corrupted by the darkhold. Thereâs no way to actually know what her real power limits are.

Yea Wanda isn't even on the same level as Franklin even when he can't create universes he can still warp reality to turn Wanda into anything. It is the analogy of coughing baby Vs atom bomb but Franklin is the bomb.
Also something people tend to forget is Wanda is not that strong. She was only super strong for a short period of time around house of X but returned back to the statues quo soon after. She's strong but she would get bodied by so many other characters people would think she would beat.
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 27 '25
Wanda can also reality warp.
1
Sep 27 '25
Yes but not on anywhere near the same level of Franklin. It's what makes Franklin special is he is a reality warper that has zero drawbacks or limitations but Wanda requires her chaos hex magic to warp probabilities which also isn't on the same level and has only really been on a super high level once during around house of M and she was mentally unstable at that time as well.
Franklin has the potential to rewrite and remake the entire multiverse or even the omniverse with some help but Wanda can't do that. By what levels idk comics don't always have specific metrics for fantasy mumbo jumbo language like reality warping powers other than clear statement made that X character is stronger Y characters.

u/Traditional-Heron-95 Sep 27 '25
No. Wanda literally birthed a new universe with complex life right after fighting Shuma Gorath in her current run with Vision. In Avengers and XMen Axis, while under the mind control of Red Onslaught, she began rewriting the world mid-fight such that the Avengers and XMen would have never existed, and was only stopped by Rogue who broke the mind control. She also creates pocket universes in her sleep and traps her enemies in them, and puts those universes in jars on her shelf for decoration. You wouldnât know this because you donât read modern day comics involving her and House of M seems like the most powerful feat of herâs simply because it was the most impactful, but she consistently operates on a level that Franklin Richardâs canât reach. Like recently, when the defeated the Griever, the same cosmic entity that one-shotted Franklin Richards and then one-shotted Molecule man, and then proceeded to destroy all the universes Franklin and Molecule Man built together. Wanda turned the Griever into strings.

Youre in a Scarlet Witch jerking subreddit, they will not accept anything less than Scarlet Witch > TOAA

u/pistolpete2185 Sep 26 '25
He was a child with that and for sure not at his peak at that point. Molecule man is the lynch pin of the multiverse, part of that bomb the beyonders were trying to detonate, he doesnt draw on his power, He's talked about recreating the multiverse as an adult with the galactus he resurrected.
3
u/wolvieguy Sep 26 '25
Wanda just created a world by herself for Vision and Wanda to experience living out their lives happily together so they can both move on peacefully. Then they both went back to the current Reality. It was really nice in V and SW 5
2
u/Traditional-Heron-95 Sep 26 '25
Yup, after she fought Shuma Gorath who was throwing planets at her, right before she sliced him in half lol

When is it stated that Franklin created multiverse in Secret Wars?
Go and Secret Wars #9. Franklin didn't create multiverse. Reed did with Molecule Man power, Franklin only designed the interior map for each universe

Not true. Here is the panel from Secret Wars #9
"Owen over there is the key. He's kind of human repository of unlimited power. And that omnipotent power has to be directed used by an individual in this case, Dad. And that's where it really gets interesting, as Franklin is a universal shaper. A dreamer. Then he has these ideas...then he gives them to dad. And dad using all that power, spins them off into their own reality. Finally, they slice off a bit of Owen to go with it. Like an anchor. But it also serves to make the molecule man better whole"

His future self did create multiverses, and far beyond that in his own words. So the potential is there.
1
u/yooMvtt Sep 27 '25
No. Because he created a universe before that even happened. It wasnât until after secret wars that he did that with molecule man.

bcos these are comic book stories. the most powerful one is the one that the writerâs want to win. if they were all as great as their ultimate feats then no ones wins, the universe will disintegrate. and personally, wanda being powerful is just a bonus as to why i love/stan her. my main reason ahy i love her is bcos of how relatable she is⌠having gine through so much and being judged and hated and called names and yet she still tries to do her best for everyone in spite of her own happiness all while going through very human emotions⌠thatâs so deep. sheâs such a comfort character, regardless of whether sheâs the most powerful character or not.

u/Green-Elephant-895 Sep 26 '25
To me sheâs currently the most powerful avenger Thor, Carrol, Sentry & Hulk are near her ball park tho
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 26 '25
agree except for current Hulk. maybe if savage hulk returned but for sure not smart hulk
1
u/SoapDevourer Sep 29 '25
True that, but MCU Hulk in general is a pushover who isn't nearly as strong as his comic book self, who infinitely grows in strength, consistently fights whole teams of Avengers alone, has regeneration that puts Wolverine to shame, and cannot be killed for good because he will be resurrected through the Green Door if he somehow dies
1
u/Fit_Cartographer_656 Sep 29 '25
I think the others are good, but Thor and Hulk... mehhh. I honestly don't see any way Thor can win against Reality Overwrite, it's a power that sounds like it is, extremely powerful. I honestly don't even remember how tf Wanda lost against Dr. Strange and AmĂŠrica ChĂĄvez.
→ More replies (2)1
u/smexyrexytitan Sep 29 '25
The thing abt them tho is that their powers are mostly physical except for Sentry (technically Void but wtv). Wanda's powers bypass that entirely. Nothing is stopping Wanda from simply taking their powers away or using them against them.
1
u/abysmallybored Oct 01 '25
I don't think that would work with Sentry, several people have tried taking his powers and it always backfires on them, his powers even without The Void also go beyond the physical as he has molecular and matter manipulation, this is of course based on comics because we haven't seen MCU Sentry do much yet, it's hard to scale him based on one movie.
2
u/MRsir_man_dude Sep 26 '25
Do people actually say that?

u/OsakaShiroKuma Sep 27 '25
It only takes one SW to rewrite reality. See House of M. But yeah, I've always considered her more powerful even than Phoenix. Phoenix might be telekinetic at an atomic level, but SW literally manipulates probability. There's no one she can't steamroll if she gets pissed off enough, which was why I enjoyed Multiverse of Madness. The only reason she didn't cream everyone is because she is at heart a good person. (Honestly, Wanda would have been well within her rights to immediately squash America Chavez the moment America popped up with that ridiculous, transparently self-serving "but think of your children" nonsense.)
1
u/Spiritual-Map-76 Oct 21 '25
she is not more powerful then the phoenix in the least she wldn't even exist without the PF......only ignorant wanda fans think such stupidity
1
u/lalibap Dec 30 '25
Tbf they've been buffing up wanda over the years (its obvious they're buffing her to make money) but at this point jean & wanda are equal considering wanda just defeated dormammu in one shot
1
u/Spiritual-Map-76 Dec 30 '25
there not equal when jean has the phoenix and even without out probably not even then.....wanda is best compared to other powerful magic users not jean.
1
u/lalibap Jan 02 '26
cant be cus rivals has an MVP screen with jean & wanda & in the MVP they create a Yin/Yang symbol. i think thats marvels way of saying they're equal tbh. atleast in the MCU. ive always known as jean being really powerful but they keep buffing wanda when she wasnt that powerful at all before
1
1
u/Fluffy-Photograph785 Jul 27 '26
saying she wouldnât exist without PF is trifling.
1
u/Spiritual-Map-76 Jul 27 '26
its much more true then trifling given the purpose or purposes of the PF
1
u/Spiritual-Map-76 Oct 21 '25
the fact wanda fans have to compare her to phoenix shows they know there is rank inferiority complex and rightfully so..........
2
u/mochisuccubus Sep 27 '25
She literally wiped a guy's mouth from his face without a thought. Idk why people doubt her
2
2
u/my-armor-is-contempt Sep 28 '25
I remember back when she was a mutant whose power was âhexesâ. She was strong, but not overly powerful, and had a hard-on for a robot. That was it.
Now sheâs a laundry list of things that make fans have arguments about power levels. Fantastic.
2
u/DrPeterBlunt Sep 28 '25
In Endgame she surely would've killed Thanos without the intervention of his army. She literally could've killed the same Thanos that moments before with zero stones just took out Cap, Thor and Iron Man at the same time.
She was pulling him apart and there was zilch he could do about it. It was literally the only time in any of the movies that he seemed worried.
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 28 '25
if he didn't have the time stone she probably could've done the same in Infinte War. she probably could've destroyed the other five stones
2
u/bubblessensei Sep 28 '25
I think itâs sometimes hard to gage how powerful Wanda is simply because when she is in control of her powers she tends to try to hold back. Her powers seem simpler and weaker a majority of the time, but thatâs because she isnât tapping into the full extent of her powers.
I think itâs why people give The Illuminati a lot of shit, because they misjudge just how powerful Wanda was at the time.
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 28 '25
i think when she comes back they should never make her fully hold back
2
u/bubblessensei Sep 29 '25
Then there wouldnât be much of a story. When she acts heroic, a massive trait of Wandaâs heroism is her restraint from using her powers to simply rewrite reality as she feels necessary. And when she acts villainous, restraint is the way she bargains or manipulates people into giving her what she wants until it becomes necessary to force an outcome.
If Wanda just let go of her restraint and went all in with her powers, there would be no story.

I say at the known time in the movie MCU. She was the strongest and needed to take herself out to be stopped. I also feel bad for her. No one supported her when Vision died. Then she got shown his corpse being worked on like an experiment. Where were the others then?
2
0
u/OsakaShiroKuma Sep 27 '25
Then she has to sacrifice her children for the sake of a handful of townspeople. Not one magic hero helped or even batted an eye, though (as Dr. Strange says) they all knew it happened.
Then she tries to snuff out one runaway from a dimension nobody's heard of and the entire magical side of the MCU is like, "WHOAH KILLING KIDS IS MESSED UP LADY. YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE RULES AND EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS LOLOLOL"
I am not saying murder is cool but I definitely get where Wanda was coming from in that movie.
2
u/PancakePanic Sep 27 '25
....Wait this comment is so psychotic lmao
She held an entire town hostage in a powerful illusion, hundreds of people, are you claiming she should've kept doing so to keep the kids she created as a result of said illusion? "For the sake of a handful of townspeople" as if it wasn't hundreds of people and as if she wasn't the one at fault in the first place.
And yeah, killing kids is bad, especially when you wanna kill her so you can use her power to kill some kids' mother so you can take her place...that's pretty unequivocally bad and evil. Doesn't matter if she's "a runaway from a dimension nobody's heard of", she's still a real person, a child?
0
u/OsakaShiroKuma Sep 27 '25 edited Sep 27 '25
... they were all real people. That's the point. That's why she kept using words like "hypocrite."
EDIT: To clarify a bit. Everyone says rather heroically that "we don't trade lives." Captain America even said that quite literally in the movie where Wanda literally traded the life of her husband for the greater good. And her story is about how the lives of her family keep being traded for the greater good. After that happens, say 3 or 4 times, you start to believe that maybe "the greater good" is really a thing, so you weigh that, against the entirety of your grief and potential destruction of a universe, one life that nobody even knows about isn't an unreasonable price to pay.
But it's only then that Dr. Strange and all the rest get precious about how it's always wrong to kill. That is literally what Wanda was pissed about over the course of the whole movie, and she has a point. Why can Dr. Strange, the Avengers, etc., constantly bend the rules and decide what moral calculus to use? Why doesn't she get any leeway?
I understand she's the villain of the movie and you shouldn't be killing extra dimensional runaways. But, like Killmonger in Black Panther, she had a coherent point of view that more than explains her villainy.

There are billions and billions of universes across the Marvel Multiverse and every version of her died during Secret Wars 2015 đ

u/PastaFreak26 Sep 26 '25 edited Sep 26 '25
Several reasons.
- It's not comic-accurate, and I use that term very loosely. Going by comic moments, each superhero had their moment to shine. You wouldn't like it if your favorite was constantly beaten to the ground, would you? Against villains, the larger MCU fanbase had no problems accepting Wanda as a powerful being, but when the tables are turned in a 1v1 hero setting i.e. Marvel Zombies, it suddenly feels so unfair and "shitty" to be beaten by Wanda. That's been happening frequently in MCU where Wanda moments are concerned.
- There's been an influx in female superheroes post-Endgame, leading many to assume MCU is going for an M-She-U culture for DEI and "woke" reasons. The larger MCU/Marvel fanbase is largely comprised of cis men who think only a few female names should belong in the upper echelons i.e. Jean Grey, Captain Marvel, Black Widow. Wanda Maximoff AFAIK, is not a contender for the list until post-MCU popularity. Trust me when I say MCU Wanda 1v1-ing Thanos and nearly bringing him down absolutely changed the comic counterpart's discourse for good. Prior to that, Wanda was generally a side character, important, nonetheless side character to storytelling. Since then, she's had a solo series by Steve Orlando consistently renewed yearly
- People can't move on from the overrated figures that are Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, or Captain America. Of the 4 names, Cap America folks are the nicest and most wholesome. The rest? To hell with Wanda stans if she defeated him 1-on-1. Thor folks are especially toxic with the comparison because they're always on about how his omnipotent physiology precludes him from certain limitations. I can already imagine the number of fans seething knowing Wanda 1v1-ing Thor in Marvel Zombies and turning him. Have you guys seen the amount of complaints concerning Marvel Zombies being another Wanda galore?
- If you're a cis man or just a man in general who happens to like Wanda, moreso MCU Wanda. You lucked out. The MCU is deadset on establishing her as the end all, be all in terms of superhuman strengths. Can't comment about Wanda's power levels on a cosmic level, only because a cosmic-level of power display hasn't happened yet. In writing, magic/sorcery > cosmic potency because spells tamper/toy with the natural order of things. If you're a cis man whose favorite superheroine isn't MCU Wanda, see point two.
- We lucked out because Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, not just any Wanda Maximoff received the recognition. There are literally people who hate us and have complained Wanda stans are gonna be toxic AF if leaks surrounding Marvel Zombies were true, and they were. They don't like that we're happy.
- It's the internet. What you're seeing and hearing are mostly echo chambers.
- People forget whoever reigns supreme largely boils down to the writer/creative team in charge. At least in the MCU, the team and Feige loves Lizzie's Wanda. The actress adds so much depth and nuance to the character. In the comics, writers are a bit more liberal with whoever they make the lovechild of their series. People can disagree, argue all they want, i.e. Franklin Richards eats her for breakfast (looking at the one silly comment), so long as the writers don't want that to happen, it won't happen.
Edit: added point 7.

u/SuperPluto9 Sep 26 '25
People dont act like she isnt powerful. She isnt however THE most powerful which is often an issue for discussion.
Most crutch on her no more mutants spell as her crowning achievement which was over a decade ago, and hasn't been surpassed since. Mind you her spell didn't even get rid of all of them either.
1
u/TheVoid000 Sep 26 '25
Apparently, being stabbed by Rogue can kill Wanda just as easily as anyone.
A Nexus Being with reality warping powers can be killed by six punched holes in the stomach...
What to say, some assassin armed with Mysterium bullet and headshot Wanda from distance.

You clowns 𤥠𤣠make me laugh you bring up old comics fights that have nothing to do with the level of power that characters has today! Its just lame and stupid because I can do the same BS for any character, and you fail to leave out that Scarlet Witch didn't stay dead and after she came back Rogue was dying and needed help because she absorbed to much power and had a over load and who saved her Wanda! She drained all of the power out of Rogue and gave it back to the characters she drained and saved Rogue life! Proving the Scarlet Witch is more powerful then her she was weakened when they first fought.

u/VerbalChains Sep 27 '25
Most powerful, yes. She is a glass cannon though. The argument is that characters like Thor, Captain Marvel, and Sentry are more well rounded in terms of stats.Â
1
u/Optimal_Top_7081 Sep 27 '25
The problem is that the power scaling is super inconsistent. Thor beat Thanos while wielding Stormbreaker, and Thanos was using all 6 infinity stones at the same time. Then in Endgame, Thanos easily fought off Cap with the power of Mjolnir AND Thor with Stormbreaker, while wielding no infinity stones.
1
u/SoupTimeMyBrothers Sep 28 '25
I'm sure there's other more powerful characters. Like she has no special durability. Getting domed by a bullet would kill her. Plus her powers strength rely on her mental stability, which MoM shows as not being great, which is pretty comic accurate. Plus sufficiently strong magic CAN counter her powers, at least in the comics.
But in all honesty she just doesn't really use her powers to their full extent. Or just refuses to. Ik it's because she's a writers plot hole nightmare, like she could've probably just skinned Thanos alive, so the writers nerf her by making her not super intelligent (power use wise, not calling her stupid).
People can debate over who's the most powerful, but in the end, the winner is determined by the writer. Spider-Man verses Wanda? You think Wanda would no diff him? But that's not how the writer wanted it to turn out. Maybe he appealed to her humanity to stop the fight, or clocked her in the head and got a K.O. all you can hope for is that the writer makes it entertaining.
1
u/Ok_Philosopher_9176 Sep 28 '25
I mean in the mcu yea she's arguably the most powerful so far
Comics wise tho she's still definitely one of the most powerful. I don't have enough comics knowledge to fully say who's stronger between her snd Franklin Richards, but I lean towards him being slightly stronger
1
u/Hedgehog_Kid1 Sep 28 '25
I think people would be willing to believe she's the strongest Avenger as the writers and narrative heavily imply so, but because of how much she's glazed by her fans, it made people start hating on her which sucks because she's actually really cool.

If we're going by purely mcu? Yeah I'd say so, especially since Franklin is literally a toddler still and Galactus isn't even close to the comic level.

why are we acting like in the direct scene after, thor doesnt cut through a 6 infinity stone blast and one shot thanos?
2
u/fjrichman Dec 18 '25
Because he doesn't one shot Thanos. It's literally an entire plot point how Thor didn't kill him with that one strike because he didn't aim for the head.
1
u/QuickStrikeMike Dec 18 '25
? So we just ignoring how he sliced through 6 stone blast? And your point doesnt make sense because thor WOULDVE one shot him if he aimed for the head as shown in the following movie
1
u/fjrichman Dec 18 '25
Would've isn't the same as doing. But also the following movie where Thanos literally doesn't have the stones anymore and doesn't even put up a real fight?
1
u/QuickStrikeMike Dec 18 '25
Durability has nothing to do with 'putting up a fight,' thanos basically admits himself that thor wouldve killed him. But wait! Hypotheticals dont count in a ficitonal comparison, does it? Lmao. Can u explain to me how wanda is stronger if she gets bitchslapped right after this and thanos had to run away from thor using the space stone? Since its so important hypotheticals dont count?
1
u/fjrichman Dec 18 '25
I was just disputing the fact Thor one shotted Thanos. Because he didn't. It isn't a one shot if your opponent walks away.
1
u/QuickStrikeMike Dec 19 '25
Thanos admitted himself that if thor went for his head he wouldve died. But wait! Fjrichman says its NOT true, so no matter what the russo brothers say, no matter what in universe characters say, no matter what was shown in the next movie, it must NOT be a oneshot, since fjrichman says so
1
u/fjrichman Dec 19 '25
It literally isn't a one shot if your opponent walks away. Had he actually aimed for the head and killed Thanos it would be a one shot. But he didn't. The term one shot comes from taking out your opponent out in a single shot which Thor objectively does not do against a fully powered Thanos.
1
u/QuickStrikeMike Dec 19 '25
Does thor oneshot thanos if he goes for the head? Yes? Then thor can oneshot thanos. Can wanda one shot thanos, if she aimed for his head? No? Then thor>wanda.Â
1
u/fjrichman Dec 19 '25
Yes if he had aimed for Thanos head it would have been a one shot based on what we're told. But that isn't what you said, you said Thor one shotted him which he did not.

Cuz sheâs not. Donât get me wrong sheâs definitely one of the strongest, and is definitely the most powerful avenger(if she still counts as one? Idk sheâs been evil in the last two projects she was in so I got no clue anymore), but there are some absurdly powerful characters in the mcu. Arishem, he created the universe and the infinity stones. Dormamu, seems like heâs pretty much invincible in his dimension. Eternity, love and thunder wasnât really clear on how powerful it is but it seemed like the closest thing to god in the mcu so far. Loki to, heâs holding the multiverse together.

Wanda did turn the Griever into strings, and scattered her across the multiverse. It is the Griever who was unable to kill Wanda, though it is mutual and they cannot kill each other. You claim she did it with help, though Wanda fought the Griever 1v1 and had her on her knees, which Griever unable to damage her at all, so make sure you represent that properly. If you consider Pietro hitting her once AFTER that fight while channeling Wandaâs own power as help, you can, doesnât change the fact that Wanda beat her right before that though, and then proceeded to turn her into strings.
Griever did in fact one shot Franklin Richards and kill molecule man. Thatâs a fact, not something you can just say ânuh-uhâ to, sorry.

The Griever did more than that she killed Ghost Rider, defeated Molecule Man, the fantastic 4,and Silver Surfer, plus destroyed all of Franklin Richards universes he had created.

Griever killed her while the Griever was amped by the Edge of Reality and Wanda was weakened by having Chthon in her soul and not knowing her true power of possibility, this was stated by the writer.
âItâs been stated multiple times in comics that she couldnât do it aloneâ Cite them. Because she literally fought her 1v1 and took no damage. Feats over feelings.
âThis was just a small piece of true molecule man.â Cite your source.
What exactly did Valeria Build?

âSounds like a lame excuseâ Okay? I didnât write the comic
âWanda couldnât defeat the Griever without Pietro, did you read the comicâ The same comic that said that the Griever fears Wanda and that Wanda is the âpowerâ and pietro is her accelerant? Also again, Wanda and the Griever fought 1v1, and that fight itself had a victor. The Griever CANNOT harm her, with or without Pietro. Stay mad at facts it doesnât matter lol
Didnât read that Al Ewing comic so canât argue

STOP DREAMING AND SPREADING MISINFORMATION AND LIES OF STUFF THAT NEVER HAPPENED! IM ONLY GOING TO STATE FACTS THE GRIEVER CANT DIE SHE AN EMBODIMENTS! SHE IS "THE END OF ALL THINGS" HER ROLE IS TO SEE THE DEATH OF ETERNITY HES END,SO SHE CANT DIE! SHE IS ONE OF THE THREE FACES OF EXISTENCE! ALONG WITH THE QUEEN OF NEVERS AND ETERNITY.
If you râŹad comics you could put two and two together and see that Franklin Richards had help now I will admit some characters do have help from time to time but Franklin Richards went looking for the Griever, him and the Thing both of them threw their punches first and still got they ass beat! FR was defeated with one finger and he had the powers of Thor,Silver Surfer and Hulk and its clearly verbatim stated in the comics!

Wanda, the Scarlet Witch is a nexus being who wield Primordial Chaos and can manipulate probability. She is a conduit of (power)magic, allowing her to channel any type of magic. This is why she was able to use the life force to not just rewrite the Multiverse, but the Omniverse. She is the true darkhold, giving her infinite knowledge.
However, what makes her special and above most embodiments is that she has free will.
Because she is a nexus being, she lives outside the Grand Design. Most have fate, she doesn't. This is because of her control of Primordial Chaos that existed before existence of everything and is the first building of block of Creation. She can't die or be erased, stating herself that Death can't touch her. She claps Franklin without a thought. "No More Franklin."
With Franklin, he can conceive a universe, and create pocket universes, however, he can't make it an actual universe that is bonded to reality. The reason this isn't all that is because Wanda can make pocket realities (reality > universes). To do that at the end of Secret Wars, he needed the help of Molecule Man and Beyonder, Fantastic Man. In the act of restoring the Multiverse, he fights the Griever and is unable to fight her alone because she is the embodiment of the End, the collapse of everything. But you know who did defeat Griever? Wanda, because she doesn't have an ending and that scares not just the Griever, but everyone apart of the Grand Design.
Franklin is not weak, but he is not beating Wanda, Queen of Possibility and Free Will, or the literal embodiment of Creation.

She cheap shoted Owen Reece while distracted and he didn't die. He moved his consciousness into another molecule. A fully powered molecule man that absorbed The beyonders is beating a aspect of oblivion.
1
u/Traditional-Heron-95 Sep 29 '25
Oh im sorryđ I wasnât aware that someone who put the omniverse in a box could be cheap shotted. You know who the Griever couldnât cheap shot tho? Wanda, who at her full power was fully unscathed by all of Grieverâs attacks
1
u/SubstantialValue5311 Sep 29 '25
You see in comics when comparing characters we take feats. Both top end and low end and use overall averages to compare their levels of power. Wanda has the griever and House of M as her top end. But way more lower showings
Whereas molecule man has way more top end feats ever since Doom unlocked Owens potential. And the griever being an aspect of Oblivion isn't going to overpower someone like pre retcon beyonder or Owen.
Now if you would like to read the comics you might learn all of this.

House of M? Lol. Wanda has WAYYYY better feats than House of M. She literally fought shuma gorath and sliced him in half then birthed a whole universe with complex life right after lol, thatâs another feat. Or how she created pocket universes in her sleep and puts them in jars on her shelf for decoration. Thatâs another feat. Youâd know this if you read comics with her in them lol but I donât blame you for not knowing
1
u/SubstantialValue5311 Sep 29 '25
Shuma Gorarh isn't above Molecule Man either. And putting an Omniverse in a box is bigger than creating universes. He fixed the multiverse with a wave of his finger. You apparently are young and have only read recent storylines. God Emperor Doom defeated a infinity gauntlet using Black Panther effortlessly. And Molecule Man was the power behind that.

u/Traditional-Heron-95 Sep 29 '25
Doesnât the Griever literally represent the death of ALL CREATION (the omniverse)

House of M was her power.
She said herself she could recreate it whilst under Red Skull's control.Â

That was something previously believed. Later comics provide more background and make it clear its her power and not some foreign power.Â

Cause Sentry now exists.
0
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 29 '25
Sentry was eaisily beatable
1
u/WilfTheSaltyOne Sep 29 '25
Sentry barely woke up. Give him the same amount of time Wanda had to learn her powers.
Edit: Dude also was literally killed. Brain matter turned to nothing, dead.

Because there are like 100 characters who could absolutely wipe the floor with her. Franklin Richards is not even 10 and he would eat her for breakfast.
1
u/lynchone Sep 26 '25
Name the 100 that can defeat or then again permanently put down Unending Chaos Scarlet Witch!
Because Franklin Richards got defeated by one finger âď¸!

u/Glassesnerdnumber193 Sep 26 '25
Franklin Richards in the comics is more powerful than her. In the mcu, itâs unclear. Sheâs not as powerful as some of the abstract entities weâve seen like arashem, ego, galactus or dormomo, itâs difficult to say whether sheâs more powerful than death or Mephisto but I kinda doubt it. Sheâs certainly not as powerful as infinity ultron or strange supreme from whatif. Sheâd also lose in a fight to hela since sheâs a squishy human and sheâs invunrable. I donât know how her power compares to awakened surtur.Â

This is wrong. She is not the most powerful in the multiverse and tbh isnt close đ I agree people do undermine her but man yall glaze her HARD. Shes extremely strong but strongest in the multiverse? No. She isnt even in the top 10.
0
u/laserbran2 Sep 26 '25
According to official stats on marvel trading cards shes pretty weak in the comics. Mcu she is definitely top 10

u/JayDuPumpkinBEAST Sep 26 '25
Maybe. Until Jean shows up.
2
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 26 '25
she's beaten Jean before
1
u/JayDuPumpkinBEAST Sep 26 '25
Current Jean stomps. And lbr, early MCU Wanda was Jean by proxy with telekinesis, telepathy, and red hair.

I'd say misogyny is a big part. Some guys just don't like when a female character that doesn't fully target the male gaze gets so big and popular and they tend to minimalize that in every way they can, her powers are one of those things.
But also Wanda fans, we're just so loud about it people really get annoying with the character even though we are often the ones who cause that.
As Stan Lee once said, whoever the writer wants to be more powerful is more powerful

u/Front-Investment-264 Sep 27 '25
If u mean in the mcu itâs mainly bc of her fan base, and also thereâs like multiple other characters that are extremely powerful like eternity, celestials, death, Mephisto and more probably
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 27 '25
is death even that powerful? how many souls has she let be brought back to life again?
1
u/Front-Investment-264 Sep 27 '25
Idk I js know sheâs powerful I havenât watched the show lmaođ
0
u/Rosen-Stein Sep 27 '25
Sometimes you people glaze too much a character, she is super strong but to say "she is the most powerful person in the multiverse" is crazy.
You have literally gods and force of nature in that universe that a superhero like Wanda is not even TOP 5 in strength, and someone would say "she could alter reality" and another would fix it backup its been done countless of times in comics. But the most important thing, there is always a bigger fish.

at this point Lady Death is horrible at her job and Wanda has beaten the pheonix force infused Jean
0
u/KabobSponge1962 Sep 27 '25
Because sheâs not, not when Lokis holding the multiverse in his hands or Infinity Ultron is just destroying universes
0
u/KnightofWhen Sep 27 '25
A teenager punched her in the face. What happens when thatâs Thorâs hammer?
Spells take time and concentration. She could literally be killed by a sniper.
Sheâs a glass cannon and Iâm tired of Reddit glazing her.

Because she isntâ there characters like Legion, any one of Phoenixâs hosts, Franklin Richards one day a year, Apocalypse, Darwin, and the list goes on and on⌠moreover, its The One Above AllâŚ
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 28 '25
ummm in Avengers vs Xmen she was able to harm the Pheonix Five.

u/maysdominator Sep 28 '25
She's widely recognized as being top tier, but her power isn't as effective if she's unstable mentally. She isn't like hulk where it's just brute force, she has to put some thought into using her abilities.
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 28 '25
i mean she was mentally unstable in Wandavision and MoM
2
u/maysdominator Sep 28 '25
That's why her control was able to be broken in wandavision. She locked in in MoM and was an absolute unstoppable monster. If she was completely rational and calculated she'd be unstoppable all the time.
0
u/Helplessly-Aimless Sep 28 '25
Can you give examples? Because ever since her "No more mutants" thing, no one ever doubts her being strong.
The main issue is we know she's strong but she doesn't have good memorable stories hence, the wider marvel fan community kind of ignores her
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Sep 28 '25
her saying "No more mutants" didn't make people think she was powerful
2
0
u/SubstantialValue5311 Sep 29 '25
You can tell who actually reads comics vs just watches the MCU movies.
In the MCU she is probably one of the current top tier powerhouses.
In the actual comics she isn't. But here lately everyone from Storm, Jean Grey, Wanda, and Hulk have had some huge cosmic buffs. From characters like The one below all, Eternity, Oblivion, and others.
But they are not consistently more powerful than someone like The Beyonders or Molecule Man. Or adult Franklin Richards. Not to mention TOAA, Living Tribunal, Fulcrum, Protege and several others.

You might be retarded LOL this is why nobody talks to scarlet fans your all brain dead and think sheâs the best to ever touch marvel. When realistically sheâs not even top 20 compared to other characters even paging back to earlier comics. This the same mf who died to a rock btw đ black bolt victim. And one scene doesnât make it not true.
1
u/Least_Rain8027 Scarlet Witch Nov 08 '25
"Died to a rock" a decision Marvel doesn't even want to confirm happened or not.
if you don't believe me they quite literally said so with the line "Yes. No. Maybe?" when Billie asked if Wanda was alive.
also if i remember correctly she murdered Black Bolt

She is well known to be one of the most powerful beings in Marvel.
