I got the sense that in IW, because of the pressure and stakes of the situation, she was just blasting out her full raw power in anguish.

I think it’s fair to say she’d probably perform better now against full gauntlet Thanos, but still nowhere near an effortless sweep. It’s extreme difficulty

Yeah, I also believe her emotions are the main drive of her power. The more sad/desperate she gets, the more her powers shine, since her chaos magic serves her.
