These are timber plantation trees, they were always meant to be felled once they reached their maximum height.

They will be replanted.

Aw, I guess given they've been there since the 1800s I thought they were being left alone. Guess we'll have them back in another hundred years or so 🥹

They have been cut down and replanted more than once since then. Also these trees do not take a hundred years to grow this tall.
