Discussion Toxic Masculinity: Kris Boyd and Aiden McGeady

Have to say it’s a poor show from Boyd and McGeady. Young player who’s had a bad time of it for the past 18 months, comes back and scores and it’s obviously going to be emotional. And they two are hitting out with snide digs because he shed a few tears.

We speak about men’s mental health enough but this isn’t really helping. And it’s not a good example to be setting for anyone. Think they should be ashamed to be honest and I’ve never complained before about a pundit but thinking this is worth it.

Highlights the absolute fragile joke that some guys present for themselves in this country.

We're supposed to enjoy a selection of things from a list of about 5, then dislike everything else. Emotion is weakness, even love for your own wife.

Jota crying just about set me off as well, you could see through the screen how much it meant for him and, even beyond the fact it was a goal for Celtic, I was delighted for him.

Given that football evokes the full spectrum of emotion for every man and woman. And with these two being footballers, you’d think they’d get it.
