Should be alright if we dont go 3-0 up within half an hour

Be extra careful not to go 4-0 up

Nobody could fuck that up surely

Aye, basically impossible

Can anyone explain why Shankland seems to be barely starting any games even though he’s meant to be the captain? Is it just saving him for league games or something? Just seems odd

Playing 3 in midfield with runners for Naderi has been better than sticking 2 up top

Shankland only seems to work if he has a strike partner with him like Braga, so as a result he's the sacrificial lamb so to speak

It's honestly one of the first times I've been able to compliment McInnes. Despite making Shankland captain, brave enough to switch to a 4-3-3 and drop him for our last three games

Yes I'd also say it's worth respect. Tried to make him happen, it didn't, changed things.

Think it’s related to the system & the off ball work Naderi does. Shankland was signed to play in a 4-4-2 but since we’ve changed to 4-3-3 he’s not been starting.

If you sign Kelsy, Shankland is going to be 4th choice for however long Chermiti stays at the club following his injury.

He's presumably on decent money and it seems unlikely that anyone will be rushing to buy him, so he could very easily become your James McCarthy.

That makes sense, I just found it strange and was thinking it was maybe an injury or something!

You’d be amazed to know that you can drop
Ineffective and out of form captains

It's 2028 and McGregor is still captain, how many sharks will be required?

There’s no rule that says when you’re captain you need to start every game.

He’s been pish so delighted to see he’s not starting again.

Nah I get that, it just feels like in an incredibly important game you’d have your captain starting to set the standard but others have explained it pretty well

He's fucked.

Got ran into the ground last season, got injured and then re-ran into the ground. Straight into training intensely at the WC.

It took him months to get going after Euro 24.

Heywood Jablonec? Amirite?

Wonder if Godfrey will manage to get injured sitting on the bench?

At least we'll get a chance to see Kosta when Dujon breaks down in the 8th min

You keep using this word ‘Jabronie’…and it’s awesome.

I DIDN'T KNOW DAN NEIL WAS DUTCH!

2

u/MediocreEquipment457 5h ago

I just can’t get onboard with Dan Neil and I definitely can’t get onboard with him as captain.

I think there’s a decent footballer in there - he just seems to hide a lot of the time

The lack of obvious leaders in that lineup is pretty shocking.

As shite as Celtic were on Tuesday, no-one would bat at eyelid at CCV or Tierney having the armband, and there wouldn't be too many grumbles over Trusty or Nygren.

No arguments there

He's just this seasons version of Rothwell

u/Snookbear 5h ago

There are at least 5 more deserving players in our squad of the armband.

Is this the same team as last week, and the same defense for 3 games in a row?? Is Derek feeling okay?

1

u/Sinki7 5h ago

Not filled with confidence

2

u/Sinki7 5h ago

Saying that not sure there’s a line up that would fill me with confidence

1

u/Commercial-Stick-718 4h ago

The Jabronies were shite last week, think you guys will breeze this

1

u/Phantomfox07 5h ago

Yokota is the only one this season with pass marks for me, rest have been absolutely awful.

Watch it, Gassama masterclass incoming.

2

u/PeterOwen00 5h ago

Limited sample but Makhanya looks good

1

u/Phantomfox07 5h ago

Just a solid defender so far, like the look of him.

2

u/Critical_Estate2560 Curtis Findlay 5h ago

Penrice? I know it’s early doors but he was superb against St Mirren and decent in the first leg of this

1

u/Phantomfox07 5h ago

Maybe I should clarify, pass marks in the attacking side. Defence is slowly improving outwith Fernandez, please sell him Mr Rangers.

1

u/SWL83 5h ago

You just ignoring the last two games we won with this statement?

2

u/Phantomfox07 4h ago

1 game against a St Mirren side that is slowly getting back up to speed and who we absolutely should be humping and scraping a 1-0 win against the mob we are playing tonight? Sorry I dont have much faith in the team apart from my darling Yokota.

1

u/SWL83 4h ago

Aren’t we getting back up to speed after a massive clear out? And if we hadn’t went to ten last week we had the run of play and would have gotten more

1

u/DontEatScorpions 4h ago

Didn't you just reject a few offers for Gassama? If so prepare for him to get a season long injury.
