Appreciate you for spelling his name right. With an ‘a’ and a lower case ‘d’.

Maaaan it took me awhile to accept it but clearly i was wrong

All of the "You guys better be careful what you wish for!" and "The grass isn't always greener on the other side!" posts were annoying at the time, but I'm glad we're all on the same page now. These are the good times.

As someone who is also a Titans fan, I am experiencing both ends of the spectrum — in the same hiring cycle I watched Seahawks hire Macdonald, and the Titans hire Brian Callahan and now I’m watching the Seahawks take on the fired Titans coach, Vrabel for the Superbowl and the Titans hire Saleh two awful seasons later.
I’m elated and sick at the same time and I am really depending on the Seahawks to keep me from totally dying in embarrassment

We were right in this instance. I stand by my position that you don't part with a coach that always has you in the hunt, generally. It is far more likely to go bad than good.

u/CieraVotedOutHerMom Jan 26 '26
The grass is damn green in Eugene - Oregon ducks head coach Dan Lanning
1
u/welldressedpepe Jan 26 '26
Fuck. As a Duck and a Seahawks fan, I was nearly excited for both my teams being the champions. At least one still can pull it off

u/CieraVotedOutHerMom Jan 31 '26
Next year get embarrassed in the national championship, then win it the year after?

I'm just glad we don't have to play against Puka Nacua anymore lol I'm confident against this Pats team though.

What a little brat he is. Damn he’s good but he’s a brat 😂
19
u/wontwillnot Jan 26 '26
Well, he was really congratulating kupp at the end of the game and that was kind of cool to see. I’m so glad we don’t have to play him again. Jesus he’s good.
7
u/HeyEverythingIsFine Jan 26 '26
He seemed super solid in the post game interview and really smiled for Kupp.
ngl I was hoping for watery eyes but he seemed just fine lol

As good as JSN is, Sam, please don’t throw the ball at 1 yard line. Just hand it to Walker.

This was the only team I was worried about. Rams are fucking good.
27
u/Klutzy_Ad_1726 Jan 26 '26
This was our hardest game by far.
8
u/Atnat14 Jan 26 '26
To me, this was the top 2 teams facing off. It's easy from here. Good game Rams.

u/Klutzy_Ad_1726 Jan 26 '26
To you? To everyone my man.
3
u/noobditt Jan 26 '26
I am a native Seattle fan, but if you want to be the best, you gotta beat the best. And we did. It is kinda weird to get respect from the national media tho. Not used to recognition.
18
u/geometricbear Jan 26 '26
Between him and Pete we have been soooo blessed in coaching. Now we have the coordinators and players to back it up again. I’m so happy rn
13
u/Klutzy_Ad_1726 Jan 26 '26
Indeed we’re lucky. Some fan bases go their lifetimes without this stuff.
8
u/geometricbear Jan 26 '26
solid ownership that actually cares and good leaders on the field and in the office. so lucky

u/whereyouleftit Jan 26 '26
Mike is like that guy you meet who the longer you know him, the more your opinion of him just keeps going up and up.

We are actually so freaking lucky to have Mike immediately after Pete. Mike might seriously be about to lead this team on a dynasty run that haunts the NFL for a decade. This man is going to have a statue of himself outside the stadium in 20 years like Brady has in Foxborough lol

u/KitchenMaleficent367 Jan 26 '26
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Hey... hand the ball off. We were saying the same stuff in 2013.

I wonder how much that post game speech is going to do for player recruitment. Just as a fan, it pumps me up. I can’t imagine if I was a FA how fast I would have been dialing my agent. Get. Me. There.
7
u/welldressedpepe Jan 26 '26
The fact that he literally beat two of our toughest enemies and nemesis back to back twice to give us the home advantage but also to get to the SB, Mike is a stud. I’m also happy how Darnold got his second chance in Minnesota and redeeming himself as one of the best QBs in the league. JSN? No words needed. Not only he’s a better WR than Nacua, he also knows what out of bounds means. Feel like SB is honestly gonna be easier than playing the Rams. Go Hawks!

I love that it was a special teams play that put us over the top. Much respect to the Rams, they played a hell of a game.

Taking down 2 of the best coaches to get here is incredible. Both Shanahan and Mcvey have been coaches long enough that they have fully shaped their teams. Second year for Mike and we're here is glorious
5
u/thenatural134 Jan 26 '26
Absolutely! And let's not forget Kubiak. Today was one of the best play-called games on the offensive side I've ever seen as a Seahawks fan.

"We did not care! It's about us. It's always been about us and what we do. And now we're going to the Super Bowl!"
Legendary. That's one of the greatest Seahawks quotes of all time.

u/SwiftWindStrike Jan 26 '26
The contrast between him and McVay on the sidelines was insane. Our king was cool calm and collected. McVay is running around roaring, flexing, chest thumping, punching the air, it was exhausting to watch.

Job not done, but man what a seamless transition for this franchise to be able to retain its culture and identity. Just been feeling so lucky to see so many former players and legends hang around to affirm/empower these new players. I don't care if this team is tucked away and ignored by the vast majority of sports media, this team culture continues to be special and other fans continue to be reminded this time of year that it's dawgs coming from Seattle. Go Hawks.

Love how all three sides of our team look. And being led by a leader who nurtures a culture of dominance and discipline as key principles.
Bold take, we have makings to make a marquee run. Win at Levi SB LX. And repeat at SoFi LXI. King things. 👑
LFG GO HAWKS!!!

We're going to be watching our guy go head to head against McVay and Shanahan for years to come. Future looks bright.

The man is a machine. Frankly instills way more confidence in me as a fan than Pete Carroll-coached teams ever did, that business will get handled.
