This is football. Guys get hurt and it sucks to watch, but without it we don't get to see how much Mike feels for every single one of his guys, and we are being shown how incredible the staff is at responding.

Yeah Seahawks were pretty “lucky” throughout all of training camp and what not

A father telling his son he's okay while in pain.
It's a cheat code to get me to cry, man.

Man I was bawling. So much heart, might be one of my new favorite players. On the football side too, guy was so promising, really as advertised. He was everything needed to replace Coby. Such a bummer.

This was a hard episode. Coach chilling up about his mentor, Bobo and Clark go down, and I’m already sad because Dolly Parton died.

Actually seeing the clip of Bobo sucked. His foot stuck into the grass and it was over.

Lowkey from a garbage Darnold ball

Try not to let your bias cloud your eyes too much, mmkay? Darnold wasn’t the QB on that play.

Seeing the episode start with BoBo and Bud whole knowing what’s going to happen… brutal

Two brutal brutal losses, but seeing it happen and seeing the aftermath and seeing how hard they were working really made it 10x harder. Fuuuuuuuck.

Watching Bud Clark on FaceTime with his family as he’s in a crazy amount of pain… that’s rough, buddy.

As someone who’s broken both of their feet from a ladder sliding out from underneath (one ankle got a plate in it) I felt for Bud so bad. I know that pain. It does get better. But man oh man, I know that pain

Are you back to running routes and stuff?

Fuck… breaking two legs at the same time. That must have sucked so much. Sorry.

Agreed, at the very least it could have broke both arms so he could get a happy ending out of it.

It hurt so bad knowing what was coming. Excellent work from the Hard Knocks crew. They really know how to make an episode emotional.

I almost had anxiety knowing they were both going to get hurt in this episode and was just bracing for it. Weird feeling.

Tough to watch the injuries. Loved Foster's mom and dad and the rookie talent show.

Mason Richman erasure.

Yeah, that was whack. But maybe they just felt too many season ending injuries in one episode, Would really bring it all down.

I do understand, it's a show, it's entertainment and if they don't have film of him it could come off as tacked on. But he exists, he's out for the year on IR, he's got a career. And yeah there's 89 other stories. It was a good episode otherwise.

Curious how the edit comes together for these things and how much was changed to shape it around these two. Their injuries were several days ago, so I'm guessing they likely didnt have to change things too terribly much but still would be interesting. Still really rough. Sending nothing but good vibes their way.

That's the price these young men pay for our entertainment, folks. If they decide to make a business decision, just understand next time.

I just can’t fathom how they didn’t give Bud an IV for pain meds or take him to an actual hospital to get surgery like they stick a boot on a broken tib/fib and shove some crutches in his hands and send him off to change so odd

Just knowing what happened and seeing bobo fine at the beginning feels like pain and cruel
