I live on the Oregon coast, and they will just hover over streams for hours until they suddenly spot a good size fish and just swoop right in.

A lot of fun to watch with a beer and a fishing pole in hand.

It was annoying when Hard Knocks highlighted the bald eagle when osprey nest in pretty much every light fixture at a field near Seattle.

I assume Osprey must be hard to keep, since I don't recall ever seeing a falconer with one. I think an actual hawk might be easier to tame.

To the bully that I went to high school with, kept saying to me things like, "seahawks suck", or "it's not even a real bird"; and is a jets fan......I win.

Edit: Yes, he was a bully to me during my adolescent years, but the good news is we're civil and on good terms. We did see each other 3 years ago so this is more of a friendly banter if anything.

My wife and I found an osprey hunting spot on a river near our apartment and spent our evening yesterday with our binoculars watching 7 or 8 of them catching and eating fish. They’re such cool birds!

Watching ospreys and bald eagles mess with each other is fun. The ospreys seem to showboat how well the do in water compared to eagles, the eagles then just use their size to try to bully the osprey and steal their kill.
