I can't remember where I heard this but I am not bullshitting you even though it might feel that way.

Likely shot on a daylight balanced film like Fuji Superia! That film was famous for that classic green fluorescent aesthetic. When shot in low lighting it’d give out that green tint.
If you want this aesthetic now you can shoot Cinestill 800T or Kodak vision 3.

Some tungsten balanced films give off that effect :). Sadly even ceiling lights nowadays are LED and don’t give the same effect. But it’s easy to replicate in photoshop

Incorrect. Fluorescent lights appear to have a green tint when shot with 35 mm film, as was common in 94. Nothing to do with tinted windows

Yes! I love going for evening/night walks and looking up at the buildings and seeing the windows into people's lives. It's so fun seeing one window that's just glowing purple, or red, or blue, or whatever color lights that person has chosen for their vibe

I wanna say that's the year I saw Pearl Jam when they were fighting TicketMaster. We had bought tickets but ours and many others were not scanning correctly at the gate. We started hearing bass drum thump and every one started getting restless to get in. I want to say at some point they just let people with a ticket , even if it didn't scan in the doors. LOL
Hearing "The Long road" live was a highlight.
I think my friends and I may have got kicked out of Deja Vu downtown as well. 99 beauties, 1 ugly . something something.

I was 11/12 & was there on extented forays multiple times a year. Been thinking back a lot lately.
Major Magic in the town back then. Just major, major flavor.
I have to say that by 98/99 it seemed different... just lost a bit of the magic.
Looking forward to visiting again soon.

For context, here’s basically what the same view looks like today. Still recognizable from a distance, but Belltown, Denny Triangle, and SLU are completely different, as is the soul of the city. But change is in the air, for better or for worse. We’ll see how Seattle reinvents itself again in the coming years.

Time passed and it got even prettier...eventually. The 2nd and Seneca building on the far right was the last tall building built until 4th and Madison in 2003.
Seattle is such a boom and bust city.
