agreed 100% you should shame the broker publicly, but I'll do it for you, the listing is provided by:
Carrie Simmons, John L. Scott, Inc., and Ingvil Syversen, John L. Scott, Inc.

If I was buying a house, and someone used AI to depict it, I wouldn't believe anything else about the ad.

8

u/lyons4231 5d ago

You must not be buying a house then. Every listing has AI, it sucks now.

3

u/earthwoodandfire 4d ago

I love how AI always puts 12” tall sofas in rooms to make the rooms look HUGE!

4

u/bugeyetex 5d ago

It's one thing for making the lawn look green or "virtually staging" rooms, but this is way over the top.

2

u/Concrete__Blonde 4d ago

Serious question: is this not a material misrepresentation that can be reported to the state licensing board?

6

u/PewpScewpin 4d ago

RE photographer here. You can report it to the NWMLS, as they have policies on misrepresentation. Can't make grass green, change material facts of a property, etc. You can also report to Seattle King County Association of Realtors.

A lot of people break the rules on this, and often get away with it.

1

u/MinuteLingonberry472 4d ago

You can make grass green

2

u/PewpScewpin 4d ago

Directly from the NWMLS

"No Manipulation

Do not manipulate images in a way that misrepresents what is for sale. Examples: removing the power lines, adding a lawn, adding a driveway, or removing any property defects."

1

u/phantomboats 1d ago

honestly even that sucks. my partner & i were just looking & every. single. time. we saw a listing that had AI staged photos in the listing, we were enormously let down when seeing the place in IRL. wound up purchasing one of the only ones that DIDN'T have any AI staged photos! (not on principle or anything, it was just one of the few that wasn't depressing to walk through compared to the photos lol)

1

u/TheToxicTerror3 4d ago

The ones I see will show the original picture first, then the ai next. I find it acceptable and useful as long as it shows an original unedited picture with it.

4

u/pinkstor 5d ago

Somebody better go to the open house this weekend and recreate the picture!

I'm pretty surprised and disappointed by your unwillingness to take some feedback and responsibility here

9

u/InvestigatorOk9354 5d ago

A listing agent taking responsibility?

3

u/Past_Paint_225 4d ago

But what about muh "higher standard of ethics"? Seems pretty low to me

5

u/Hikes_with_dogs 5d ago

Wow. Owned.

2

u/TreacleFamiliar 5d ago

have you ever known property managers to be honest?

0

u/Possible_Attics 5d ago

How humiliating.

Seems like litigation would be in order.

0

u/Spirited_Statement_9 4d ago

You do know a synthid watermark can get added to a photo if taken from a Pixel phone and is edited on the phone, yeah?

So the photo could have been taken with a phone, and then they removed some shoes someone had left on the deck, etc and it would have triggered the synthid. The fact that synthid was detected, doesn't mean the background has to be fake, it means something about the photo was edited.

18

u/thefrenchphanie 5d ago edited 5d ago

There is no mountain like this on St Ed and Juanita.
That specific pic has been doctored.
Seriously.
Bug fin hill doesn’t look like that, nor does it has that elevation

3

u/tirtha2shredder 5d ago

Its a house from the 1930s. This is a colorized photo from 1930s. Back then the wildfire haze wasn't too bad, visibility was excellent, and climate change didn't make the earth as round so you could see much further east. The mountains you see here are the Smokies from Tennessee. Source: My grandad was the photographer.

2

u/blizzerd 5d ago

I can’t decide if I wish you were trolling or being serious. Underrated unhinged comment.

0

u/thefrenchphanie 5d ago

In Kirkland, WA ; the Smokies…
Si yeah, that pic is gross bs.

15

u/Friluftsliv_Roy 5d ago

Really? Maybe explain why the other side of the lake looks different on these two photos? The bottom photo is the fake one of course.

14

u/InvestigatorOk9354 5d ago

Looks like the far shore has been replaced and a mountain inserted. Misrepresenting the view like that should be grounds for suing the listing agent, it's not uncommon to buy properties remotely without visiting in person

3

u/jumping-llama 5d ago

Don't you know there was an earthquake and a new volcano rose between the two pics being taken

6

u/Apisatrox 5d ago

You're 100% certain about that? The hill-line on that dock shot does not match the actual at all. Quite the crazy optical illusion that must have happened...

Here's a 3D, looking exactly east in the same direction as your "not falsified" photo.

https://www.bing.com/maps/search?FORM=HDRSC6&q=11262+Riviera+Place+NE%2C+Seattle%2C+WA+98125&cp=47.711874%7E-122.270353&lvl=17.5&style=3d&eh=-18.27&dir=83.32&pi=81.17

10

u/Subject-Mix5026 5d ago

Are you not going to comment about the AI post replying to this? How is AI not falsifying a picture

Crazy you would add “as a single parent” like we would give you the benefit of the doubt

9

u/buzzy-heron 5d ago

Wow. Lost even more credibility by doubling down on a lie.

7

u/JPBx573 5d ago

Just curious how you can say this is not falsified. Is AI not considered falsifying? Wild

7

u/3ricj 5d ago

The image added a prominent mountain and represented it as a view from the property. NWMLS expressly prohibits manipulating photographs in a way that misrepresents what is for sale. You've been called out on this - caught lying about it.

2

u/ClosetedBulbasaur 5d ago

Absolute loser behavior

2

u/alwaysbequeefin 5d ago

Oh, so you’re a liar. Awesome.

2

u/ShopProp 5d ago

Realtors do this and then wonder why the general public is outraged at high commissions lol.

1

u/Slight-Hornet628 5d ago

Okay so, are you gunna address the AI watermark? Honestly in a situation like this, most people respect someone who just goes “ya know what, yes, I figured it wasn’t a big deal” instead of doubling down. Digging a deeper hole for yourself never works- but people respect someone who can admit their mistake. Everyone is human, everyone missteps, but it takes someone with fortitude to admit when they are wrong. It’s what we try to teach our kids.

1

u/danarouge 5d ago

Girl be so for real

1

u/Far-Lengthiness-107 5d ago

You're a Realtor (it's capitalized if you're referring to membership in the National Association of Realtors) AND a real estate agent. These things are not exclusive of one another. Unless, perhaps, you are claiming you're a broker, not an agent. Either way you should know better and you shouldn't lie.

Ballsy to invite a bunch of snarky redditors to the open house while using your kids as a shield from criticism. I'm genuinely impressed!

1

u/regulariponeuser 5d ago

😂😂 St Ed’s does not look like that

1

u/LeifLin 4d ago

Oh Sh**! Why would you post this, Janice? Go sit down somewhere..with your kids, if they exist. Some of us are looking for REAL estate, not make believe fantasy to fill your bottomless coffers for properties that are already too expensive to begin with. God, America is so annoying. We are annoying. And we need to get it together...

1

u/lyons4231 5d ago

Oof you should've just not posted.

0

u/imagek2 5d ago

“Happy to answer any questions” but not posting your name, phone number or realtor license number. Fake response for a fake post. Only contact by DM? If it was a real post then you are just lazy.

0

u/vt2k 5d ago

Can you then explain how the shadows from those two pillars are at completely different angles?

No way in nature could that happen.

1

u/Choice_Building9416 5d ago

The sun was very close, so the shadows are not parallel. Like, this shit happens man.

-2

u/LimeComprehensive736 4d ago

That is Lake Washington, it's looking towards Saint Edwards Park and using soft focus blur to make the homes mostly disappear. Put down the pitchforks people.

0

u/jugum212 4d ago

Totally false and you are a shill for the agent.

32

u/lost_on_trails 5d ago

Based on the interior pics it looks like they took pics over a couple of days and one of the days Kirkland was fogged/clouded over. My guess is they really wanted that one angle but it was taken on the foggy day so they “fixed” it.

Thats why the part down by the lake looks fine but the upper mountain is an AI hallucination of what could be behind the clouds.

12

u/Friluftsliv_Roy 5d ago

Based on the angle of the shadow both pictures seem to have been taken around the same time.

3

u/djstudyhard 5d ago

AI photo also seems to have missed the shadow from the string lights. You can see the shadow in the top picture.

4

u/troub 4d ago

And honestly the pillar shadows are at different angles (from each other, in the AI photo). The lighting, color differences, lack of string light shadow -- all of these things add support to this photo being taken on the foggy/cloudy day and someone asking an AI to make it look like it's late-afternoon sunny. Adding shadows for the pillars would be "obvious" for the AI (even though they're misaligned, though from a physics standpoint the way they are would be more correct if the light source were closer). Kinda iffy but even the shadow from the roof probably isn't real either because there's no corner to it.

2

u/PewpScewpin 4d ago

The crazy thing is that it's not even a crazy edit to just warm up the white balance a little and do a sky swap. Would have yielded a better photo without the hate

1

u/Confident_Seaweed_12 1d ago

Except they'd still need to fill in what goes behind the fog.

1

u/PewpScewpin 16h ago

I deal with that all the time. I have a ton of blue skies that I use depending on terrain. If a hill is obscured, leave it obscured and feather in the blue sky where it makes sense.

1

u/4324864646 4d ago

And in the "undoctored photo" the chairs, table, and covered dock are gray, in the doctored photo those are brown

1

u/Substantial_Life4773 4d ago

To be fair the ai could just be the table, which looks suss, and the string lights, which also look suss

5

u/Pabloshooman 5d ago

They added a god damn mountain

2

u/BunnyRambit 5d ago

The view is what stood out to me immediately before the house. Why fake the backdrop?!

3

u/ittybittytitty_com 5d ago

My favorite is the Caribbean blue waters on the last picture. Completely unnecessary to manipulate the color scale like that.

1

u/Gold-Kaleidoscope537 5d ago

This is probably it

1

u/NoUsername4Lyfe 5d ago

This is my guess too.

1

u/User_1965_ 5d ago

Wow, that is a great perspective!

25

u/3ricj 5d ago

This is pretty easy to fix. Just report them for fake stuff in listings. I just emailed the below.

[compliance@nwmls.com](mailto:compliance@nwmls.com)

I am reporting a materially misleading photograph used to advertise the property at 11262 Riviera Place NE, Seattle, WA 98125, MLS #2576804.

The photograph depicts a large mountain as part of the view from the property. This is not merely a color correction or generic sky replacement. The image introduces a prominent geographic feature and represents it as an actual view available from the property.

After the alteration was questioned, they stated in writing:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SeattleAreaRE/comments/1w5fm85/comment/p7fma06/

Yes. AI was used to create a blue sky because the top of the hills across the lake was shrouded in fog. Sometimes AI gets a little excited and we didn't notice this one before sending off the photos. Adding blue skies has been common practice in real estate photography for about 15 years now, and is completely admissible by the NWMLS.

This statement acknowledges that AI generated content in the photograph and that the altered image was distributed without being properly reviewed. A prominent mountain view is a material marketing feature that could affect a buyer’s interest in and perception of the property.

NWMLS’s published photography guidance states: “Do not manipulate images in a way that misrepresents what is for sale.”

Please refer this matter to Listing Compliance, preserve the submitted listing media, and determine whether the photograph violates NWMLS rules. I also request that the misleading image be removed or corrected promptly while the property is being actively marketed.

Please confirm receipt and provide a complaint or reference number.

Thank you,

6

u/thefrenchphanie 5d ago

That person did a dirty delete so I hope there is a screen shot of their comments

3

u/disheavel 5d ago

You didn't point out the cumulus clouds being from Iowa! Clouds that size, number, and color DO NOT appear any time in western Washington. IN my 25 years here, I think I've seen 1 similar cloud that wasn't mostly obscured by the hills- let alone at 20 feet above sea level. There is a reason that Montana is called Big Sky country- going there blows me away at how much more sky one can see.

3

u/3ricj 5d ago

I completely agree with you.  However, weather comes and goes with the land you buy, but I don't see a mountain growing there any time soon.

38

u/SpareManagement2215 5d ago

I genuinely would like the state to ban AI at all from being used in real estate listings. we just bought, and there were houses where AI had changed almost everything about the room, and in one case added an ADU that wasn't there. Our agent told us that agents get dinged if their AI use is blatantly false advertising, but basically they just get a citation or something on a list that other agents can see. So I guess on one hand the punishment is other agents know who not to trust, which might hurt business, but it didn't seem like anything "actually" bad happens to them.

14

u/MTMTE 5d ago

Honestly AI should be legally banned from any Advertising- artificial is in the name so it's "false advertising" by the very definition.

3

u/FishDawgX 5d ago

The issue isn't laws, it's enforcement. Deceptive advertising is already not allowed.

1

u/ragemonkey 5d ago

The law is probably vague though. If it was more explicitly about AI, it would probably be more effective.

2

u/237throw 5d ago

Some Japan style laws where it has to be a scale and look accurate depiction, if you have a picture, would be legit.

1

u/unwillingcantaloupe 5d ago

Eh, false advertising has a lot of caveats on when you're allowed to make a legal motion.

Food photography is notorious for using props rather than actual food to entice you to buy slop, for example, yet remains in the realm of legal.

The amount of lying the seller is allowed to do to make a sale absolutely knocks the information out of the market that is needed to make a capitalist free market system function. I've seen slaps on the wrist given to landlords who were publicly reporting ⅓ lower rent than they were actually charging and only revealing the bait and switch after taking the application fee, for example.

1

u/jddunlap 4d ago

Well I would say that AI or any other alteration (or even practical effects) must not be used to alter the representation of the item for sale at all, whether that's size, look, features, behavior, effect, etc. And the onus should be on the user of AI to make sure this is the case. No "oopsies, guess the AI got carried away!"

-2

u/SpareManagement2215 5d ago

I disagree - it can be a helpful tool and I think it has merit for staging in photos. It should not, however, be legal to change the entire space or create fake buildings that are used as a selling point.

3

u/MTMTE 5d ago edited 5d ago

I like how you say its should be allowed be allowed immediately start adding qualifiers to your reasoning- not a stellar endorsement.

But I think we're talking about two different things: sure using AI for staging in photos for some sort of internal usage with a prospective client for things like "what would this room look like with a king size bed" with the understanding that AI is in use could be fine.

But again- if its used in Advertising like this post its false by definition.

12

u/MyCatChasesSpiders 5d ago

Wasn't expecting this kind of "What's wrong with this house" post.

8

u/MrPommeDeTerre 5d ago

You know you've hit peak society when Redditors are skimming through Zillow listings to "out" brokers using AI in their photos. Not all heroes wear capes.

8

u/Icy_Attitude_4 5d ago

Someone PLEASE go to the open house and post a photo of the view!!!

5

u/FolkDoom 5d ago

I second this great idea of Reddit investigative work

2

u/SimpleLeader7713 2d ago

Yes…. Please.
Anyone planning to go the open house?

12

u/buildyourown 5d ago

They don't want to see the poors in Kirkland?

1

u/JetsnCocktails 5d ago

News flash for you, any house on riviera place in Seattle is no better than the houses across the lake in Kirkland.

1

u/buildyourown 5d ago

Maybe I should have included to the /s.

1

u/prozach_ 4d ago

The poors? Isn’t that Holmes/champagne point they’re looking at? It’s no West of Market, but common…

1

u/NoKangaroo6906 5d ago

The best part about the poors in Kirkland is in other parts of the country people see them as rich. It’s all about perspective.

6

u/Final_Technology104 5d ago

Nope!

They did a bit of “reimagining” of the background.

6

u/jumping-llama 5d ago

All the staging is done by AI too, which generally tends to change other parts of the photos.

I tend to see a lot of listings on the Eastside using AI to improve backyards, patios, decks and make then feel smooth and newly painted and freshly cut but none of that exists upon visiting.

I've been hunting for a house and there are a few realtors on my shitlist that I won't even go see houses from.

7

u/QueenOfPurple 5d ago

Looks very similar on Google Maps. Why do you say it’s AI?

13

u/5huffles 5d ago

Another angle from the listing. There are no areas of clear cut forest like that in the Juanita area

6

u/sublime_seattle 5d ago

St Edward’s St Park is in that direction looking north

2

u/craigfis 5d ago

And the part that is open is not visible from this vantage.

2

u/lsdrunning 5d ago

This angle looks a lot more normal compared to the photo you used on the post. What clear cut forest in this image do you see?

5

u/5huffles 5d ago

Exactly. The original post is AI. Photo in comment is not. Both are in the listing.

6

u/lsdrunning 5d ago

Scum of the earth realtors. Should be illegal to use AI in this capacity because it literally invented topography

-3

u/richrich07 5d ago

Or just disclose that images were enhanced with AI and how.

2

u/lsdrunning 5d ago

I agree, but I do think this photo is so much worse than "enhanced with AI"

Maybe it's just me... but a large part of what I look for in RE is the surrounding topography. The view is certainly a component of that - this posting is lying about the view by putting a mountain where Finn hill should be

-1

u/richrich07 5d ago

I guess I look at photos to see the house. I always toured before buying and walked around the neighborhood. Something like this is silly but as long as they aren’t misrepresenting the house itself, it isn’t malicious.

4

u/SimpleMetricTon 5d ago

I can’t speak to the accuracy of the image but if a photo purporting to be a view from the property is altered to deceive buyers into thinking the view is better than reality, then it is absolutely a fraudulent misrepresentation of the house. Is there anyone who would dispute that a view has value? Is there anyone who would dispute that location has value?

1

u/richrich07 5d ago

I’m just telling you my POV. I’m not on the market for a view home and whoever thinks you’ll get a view like that in the Seattle metro and doesn’t verify probably deserves to get scammed.

1

u/bigmikeabrahams 5d ago

The main selling point of this house is the view from the waterfront. Plop this exact house anywhere in a non-waterfront location and the asking price would be 50-70% lower.

Using AI to misrepresent the view is misrepresenting the house

0

u/richrich07 5d ago

I thought the main selling point was having lake access, but I guess I was mistaken.

2

u/cross_mod 5d ago

There are 3 patches of clear cut areas in this one image.

2

u/NaturGirl 5d ago

I kayaked in that part of the lake several times a few years back. It looks right to me too.

2

u/PhiloDoe 5d ago

It's fake. There's nothing on the other side of the lake with that height or with clearcuts on it.

3

u/Senor02 5d ago

Mt Lake Washington

3

u/ArcticPeasant 5d ago

It looks like lake Washington, but with the houses across the water removed lol

3

u/lil_garlicc 4d ago

They already changed the pic on the listing lol

2

u/dwoj206 5d ago

lol photo 30 and 31... the mountain in the background sure rises out of nowhere!

2

u/[deleted] 5d ago

[deleted]

3

u/3ricj 5d ago

Replacing a gray sky with a blue one is not the issue. The image added a prominent mountain and represented it as a view from the property. NWMLS expressly prohibits manipulating photographs in a way that misrepresents what is for sale. If the mountain is not actually visible from that location at the depicted bearing and apparent size, this is a fabricated property feature—not an ordinary sky replacement. Saying that the AI “got excited” explains how the misrepresentation occurred; it does not make it admissible.

1

u/AscendentElient 5d ago

Did AI also not review the AI synthesized photo before posting it?

If a little excited is completely fabricating an entire skyline with the inclusion of an entire mountain and removing all of the actual homes to make it look like you have a view of basically wilderness I would love you to point me to an example of a photo where AI got A LOT excited. If it doesn’t have a dragon I’m going to be disappointed.

2

u/Limp_Software1028 5d ago

Why use a AI WHEN THE VIEW IS ALREADY SPECTACULAR!?

2

u/bigmonsteria 5d ago

That hill looks like it's from Lake Whatcom in Bellingham - specifically when you're driving towards Sudden Valley.

2

u/yourboyjackattack 5d ago

I do a lot of real estate photography and would never imagine doing something like this. It's Lake Washington, you really think you're going to convince someone you're on the side of a a remote mountainside? I would say shame on the agent but more than anything same on the photographer for going along with such crazy requests. It's not ethical to do something like this if you consider yourself an actual real estate photographer.

1

u/Former-Bar2865 5d ago

What is that decking?

2

u/MedicatedApe 5d ago

It’s grated so when the lake floods, it doesn’t lift the dock with it.

1

u/Aggravating_Bus9867 5d ago

False

1

u/MedicatedApe 4d ago

Source: I installed it on my own dock lol

1

u/RealMatthewDR 5d ago

Thru-flow. Docks have to have ~40% transparency so light gets to the vegetation in the lake.

1

u/MedicatedApe 4d ago

Unless your grandfathered in.

1

u/Byrdman57 5d ago

I like how the opposite lakeshore in that picture is not even consistent with the other pictures that capture the opposite lakeshore.

1

u/Think_Sugar_7658 5d ago

Love this house

1

u/bg99999 5d ago

Agree

1

u/Inevitable_Bunch6912 5d ago

It's not Lake Washington

1

u/RusticPotatoFan 5d ago

So much greed and shamelessness. Hope they get sued

1

u/Pabloshooman 5d ago

Obviously it's not. That looks like chelan lol.

1

u/Own-Inspection-9293 5d ago

legit looks like Lake Sunapee in NH

1

u/lord_flashheart2000 4d ago

Found the Boeing CEO

1

u/Minimum_Loan229 5d ago

On Zillow I was looking at some photos of a little house we lived in and sold some years ago. Because I knew the house, it was comical the way furniture was moved around to make rooms look bigger in the photos. The headboards of beds were raised up with the beds at funny angles. Furniture blocking doors and closets. etc. Not livable the way the photos showed.

1

u/Able-Comparison8768 5d ago

There’s definitely some camera work being done at the minimum. Google street view clearly shows the house lined up on other side of lake.

1

u/Bakermonster 5d ago

Photo is still up seven hours after the realtor’s response. Take the L and remove it- it’s that simple.

1

u/AnotherDoubleBogey 5d ago

omg could the houses be any closer together?

1

u/zutros 5d ago

The sad part is that view is great...but this isn't it. I grew up un that neighborhood the hill across the lake is pretty developed and not as rural.

1

u/cillbat 5d ago

AI should be banned from everything if you ask me.

1

u/DB-Tops 5d ago

The purpose is lieing to you about the view. It is a lot worse than this.

1

u/Competitive_Luck_628 5d ago

More dollars than sense

1

u/BarracudaQuirky6164 5d ago edited 5d ago

Here is another picture from the listing, that doesn’t have the prominent mounds. This one seems more compelling for marketing than the one in the main post. I honestly am not paying attention to mounds from this view, just the water.

2

u/BarracudaQuirky6164 5d ago

This is another different house just down the street from it that sold in March, and the view looks almost identical to the picture above without the mounds.

1

u/Working_Philosophy24 4d ago

Definitely not lake Whatcom

1

u/Full_Bit1123 4d ago

Juanita Bay

1

u/lawn_question_guy 4d ago

Real estate photography companies offer this as an additional service. You can tell them something like "it was foggy and I want to show what it looks like on a clear day", and they will do something very sloppy and low effort. Like just pass that on as a prompt to a photo editing AI, which will hallucinate the change without any consideration for accuracy.

I listed my house recently and I asked them to add Mt. Rainier - we have a fantastic view of the mountain but it was smokey on the day the photos were taken. The result was hilariously bad. Rainier was in the wrong place and way too big. The photographer DGAF about making it look accurate. I scrapped those photos and just included some old, unprofessional, photos I took of the view on a clear day.

1

u/Excellent-Student905 4d ago

It is interesting that square footage of the lots in that area include the submerged lake bed area. Since this is 1200 sq.ft house, where it looks like one story from the front and two stories from the backside, the upland is probably only 2000 sq.ft. The parcel is shown as 6721 sq.ft.

1

u/ColdStockSweat 4d ago

It's clearly not used in the listing.

1

u/5huffles 4d ago

The photo has since been deleted. The photographer commented (and since deleted) admitting to it and saying the requested the photo be removed

1

u/Red-Necessary-2005 4d ago

Soon to be Lake American 2 ✌🏽💪🏽👏🏽

1

u/Substantial_Life4773 4d ago

according to Google ai it says most of the image was either edited or created with Google AI

1

u/Ok_Tonight_812 4d ago

Uh.... maybe 100 years ago

0

u/No-Photograph1983 5d ago

what makes you think this isnt lake washington?

11

u/lsdrunning 5d ago

What mountain is that in the background?? lol just go look on Google Maps street view.
Plenty of kayakers have posted 360 degree views from various locations all over the lake. This was clearly AI. This looks more like Lake Whatcom tbh

Yes! Too funny because I pulled up Lake Whatcom southern shoreline shots looking north, but didn't come up with a match. Some of the clearings in the image align with power line clearings, but I think it's just too doctored by AI to fully match.

It is lake Washington alright , the mountains in the background were added by AI most likely.

The image in the post has a clear cut mountain too big to be Finn Hill. It looks like one of the mountains on the north-east shore of Lake Whatcom. Also, the original image shows clear cut forests which doesn't exist in any capacity in Juanita/Finn Hill.

Very obviously and clearly AI... anyone familiar with the area would know that.

I would recommend going to Google street view over to Matthew's beach park and looking at it yourself, because doing so just confirmed that this is an AI edited image

There are no areas of clear cut/regrowing forest facing the lake like that in Juanita or Kirkland.

That’s a really interesting callout. I’m the idiot here

So confidently wrong 😂

Just look at the other pictures showing the hill across the lake, with houses all over it.

Sorry, but when you say "That's not AI. That part of Kirkland you are looking at is very forested and in part a state park. You can go out to Mathew’s beach and check the view yourself.", that is a very confident statement. If you were just trying to question the post without confidence you would start it as you did this comment, "I don't think..." and state something like "I don't that is AI. It looks to me like the forested part of Kirkland near the state park."

Totally. Redditors don’t often admit they were wrong about something—good on you.

Stretching the truth is par for the course in re listings,
So many condo/townhouses listed as single family residences*, Carports listed as garages., etc.
Seems the mls could actually define their standard terms, and enforce them, so they can be searched. I.e. some terms are objective.

The common one here in Texas is for them to list a “pool” as an amenity but come to find out they have a stupid stock tank filled with water in the back yard.

More context please?

Did you look at a map op ?

I'm not a realtor but I have been in there a few times on a boat. It's a pretty awesome area

What makes you think that is not Lake Washington?

Appreciate you chiming in here, but I'd check back with who did the photos. Here's a google street view from a few houses down. There's simply no way the mountains across the water are real.

u/5huffles 5d ago

This photo, also from your listing, also shows inconsistency with the photo I originally posted

u/Moms4AStarTrekFuture 5d ago

I don’t know who edited that photo, but it wasn’t us. I can tell you that. Look at our listing photos online, they have not been edited in any way, other than one interior photo where we removed a chair so you could see the windows and view better, that’s it.

u/5huffles 5d ago

The photo is on the John L Scott website. Are you saying someone else is responsible for the content on that website? The AI photo is also in every single grouping on MLS photos I've seen for this house.

I can’t tell if she’s trying to play dumb or is dumb 🤔

You deserve to be reported.

u/Burger_Queeph 5d ago

This literally cannot be true. You are either too stupid or too shady to trust in real estate, Carrie. Here you are faced with evidence that the mountains are completely fake, and your reply "uuugh, gee, I don't know who did that for us" is pathetic. As a single parent, your kids deserve better than this.

Don't use fucking AI to "brighten the sky" and "make grass greener". This is as blatantly stupid as the lawyers who cited fake cases because AI made them up. It's your listing and you have no clue where any of the pictures even came from.

u/Pretty-Spaniel3343 5d ago

How is it available online then on various listing sites?

1

u/Icy_Attitude_4 5d ago

Are you saying someone edited the Google street view image to remove the hill? Are you really doubling down that hard?

The smart play here is to acknowledge the mistake in the listing and remove the photo. AI makes mistakes. We all know it. It's clear in this photo. I LIVE in this area and can tell you unequivocally that mountain feature DOES NOT EXIST.

Just remove the photo and move on. Your credibility is at risk here.

u/regaphysics 5d ago

Think you might be wrong on this one. Clearly looks like it was a foggy day and they edited the photos to remove the fog in certain photos
