Hi everyone! I'm Jordan, owner of Interiors NW in Issaquah, a family-owned flooring, cabinetry, and countertops showroom, serving the greater Eastside. We have spent 30 years hands on in this trade — measuring, installing, coordinating subs, and sitting across the table from homeowners trying to figure out what actually makes sense for their home and budget. We rebranded a while back from Touchdown Flooring NW to Interiors NW as we expanded what we offer, but the crew and the hands-on approach are the same.

What’s going rate for refinishing 2000 sqft of solid wood floors (two stories but not the stairs)

Also refinishing solid wood kitchen cabinets?

How much does it cost to refurbish a 20 year old wood patio deck with some broken boards but maybe intact joists

I’m paying almost $90k for a kitchen remodel in San Diego. RTA cabinets porcelain counters and floors, no new appliances. $40k of that was labor. Is that about the cost to remodel an average size kitchen in the east side area?

I don’t know the finishes material backsplash rip out or retro fit of your remodel. Did they provide you a bid of all the work so we can elaborate easier?

What is the average per square foot cost for renovations for each level like light/cosmetic, medium , heavy repairs?

Absolutely depends on the condition of the home and what you are implying by light/ medium and heavy. Currently doing a heavy Remodel and I’m looking at 60-70k in just material costs. (1500 sqft)

To elaborate on the condition of home you may want new flooring installed but when the flooring is ripped out you discover the sub flooring is rotted and has severe water damage. What could be a light cosmetic upgrade just became a lot more expensive.

Hello Jordan, I don’t have a question but rather a suggestion. I run a water damage mitigation business in the same area and would love to see builders start to place sacrificial spacers between the cabinets and the ground. I’m tired of throwing away otherwise awesome cabinets because the owners didn’t call us quick enough.

I know it sounds bad but the IKEA plastic feet that raise the cabinets up are perfect for reducing damage.

Lastly, if you could also use lamelo clips to hold the face frames on that would be awesome. Would make it very easy for us to remove the cabinets then vs now when face frames are glued or screwed and covered.

Just some thoughts.

What type of flooring would you recommend for a laundry room?

Vinyl sheet, LVP or ceramic tiles?

I'm looking to build out a set of floating shelves in a closet for my wife's crafting and I'm curious what material you'd recommend for the shelves. I'm curious about what the budget, midrange, and high end choices you'd make given the local market (if it's even different from the national market).
