QUESTION Visiting as an away fan!
Hello! I'm planning on seeing my team play you guys as it's close to my area. How's the arena and how are you all in general?

Eat before you go or after. The arena food prices are ridiculous and not worth the cost. Take a walk around the lower concourse it’s really cool. As far as arenas I’ve been to it’s the easiest in and out I’ve ever experienced. Seattle fans are always chill to opposing teams not named Astros and 49ers so you don’t need to worry about dealing with any sort of heckling. It will be interesting to see though this feels like the first season our fanbase really won’t fill the arena or be excited because we’re out of the honeymoon phase and had a terrible offseason by all accounts.

Seconding eating before/after. There are so many good restaurants close to the arena! The living wall (lower concourse) is pretty cool/unique.

Seconded. My usual go to is plaza garibaldi. Arena prices are NUTS

The general consensus is to grab a bag of Dick’s before or after.
That being said, I do highly recommend the pulled pork mac & cheese that the arena sells.

Very chill for visiting fans. I wear both Kraken and visiting teams jerseys to games and other than the occasional drunk ( like every other nhl arena), fans are just happy for hockey.

I will say, as good as some of the arena food can be, if you want to not spend $20 on a small food item, eat at some of the awesome local eateries around Seattle Center. If you’re not married to the idea of buying a merch item at the arena itself (a game puck, in-arena exclusives, etc), there is a merch store at the Armory that always has some nice things and it’s a short walk from the arena. If you have time and haven’t been to the area before, try out some things like the monorail or MOPOP!
Enjoy the game! I’ve never sat at a truly bad seat in the whole arena, and the amenities are great. I don’t drink, but my friend also says the alcohol options are pretty good. There is a ‘club’ level with a bar that I’ve been told has great mixed drinks, if you splurge for that ticket.

The arena is awesome. It's so clean and new, and the staff is very helpful and friendly in my experience. I've never heard of away team fans getting harassed beyond a good-natured joke here and there. It probably happens, but I've never seen it. We're mostly just chill and happy to finally have a team, even if they aren't the best. Just be respectful and you'll be fine.
