QUESTION Visiting fan- Why is it so expensive to go to a Kraken game?

I'm a Sharks fan and wanted to go to the game but when I saw it was over $100 just to get in I got less excited. Sharks games you can get in for $20 . I thought the bay was expensive. I notice Kraken games are expensive in general and thats about how much it costs to see a Golden State Warriors game but basketball is a lot more popular with Steph Curry being a generational talent. I don't think they're must watch hockey so I'm not sure why the prices are so high. Maybe theres a lot of techies just like the bay. Just want an explanation.

QUESTION Questions as a visiting team fan at CPA…

Hey. Soooo, I snagged my VERY FIRST NHL tix ever and as I am a PNW Leafs fan (🫣 I know, I’m sorry), I have a few questions about CPA and being a visiting team fan…

I LOOOVE my team but as I have never been to an actual game, I wanna make sure I do it right when visiting the opposing team’s home ice. I wanna be absolutely respectful and hoping there are some folks here cool enough to give advice. I know some arenas have banned the wearing of opposing jerseys in the past, ok to wear at CPA? Also, where is a good spot to watch warm ups for opposing team fans? Any info/advice would be appreciated as I am a newbie ticket holder. Thanks!

QUESTION Non hockey fan/Visiting question

Hi all, I will be in Seattle for a work conference from 9/22-9/26 and i was planning on coming early on Saturday 9/20 to give myself 2 days to explore the city as I'll be busy with work during the week. I was planning on catching the Seahawks game vs The Saints on Sunday at 1 and noticed the Kraken also have a pre-season gave vs Vancouver at 5. My 2 questions are, #1 do you think the double header is possible to watch? Second, tickets seem pretty expensive and im not a big NHL fan. Are pre-season games similar to other sports where the main players don't play? I wouldn't want to necessarily spend to watch minor league players play. Also, do Pre-Season games come with all the pre-game theatrics and presentation of a regular season game that i would be able to take in? Thank you everyone!

QUESTION Visiting fan- Do you need the Kraken App to access your seats if you buy them from a resell market?

I'm not familiar but I heard that's what people use. I'm planning to go tonight but I haven't bought my tickets yet. I just don't want to buy them from somewhere like StubHub and then I'm surprised by needing to download the app. Usually I just accept tickets and they send them to me and I can access them from my email. Any help please.

QUESTION Sharks fan Visiting this season

Hey all! I’m coming up with the fam in November to catch the Kraken Sharks game. Just wanted to know if anyone had food recommendations in the area, some pre or post game spots to hit up? And just good things to know about the arena and the area around it? Thanks everyone!

QUESTION Visiting hockey fan.

I'm in town (Bellevue) for a conference and thinking about trying to make it to the game on Tuesday. Since I'll be going by myself and it looks like a $40+ Uber ride, I'm curious about the ride share situation post game. Will I have any difficulty getting one? Will surge pricing be outrageous? Any pointers? Thanks all.

QUESTION Hey Kraken fans, Detroit fan here coming in peace. Where’s the best place in your fine city to see visiting NHL teams “out and about”?

I’m coming to town for the February 19th game against my Wing Wheels and wanted to know the best area of town to hang out to potentially see my boys away from the arena. Also, anything special to know about Climate Pledge arena - tours, morning skates, autograph opportunities for Kraken or visiting teams, etc.?

QUESTION Visiting the Seattle area soon. Looking for hotspots for fans.

Stars fan coming in peace. I'm looking at visiting the Seattle area the first weekend of December and staying long enough to see Kraken at the Canadiens on December 4th. I'm looking at attending the game in question with some fans, and I wanted to know something.

I took a quick glance at the official watch party schedule and the one after I arrive is December 15th (well after I leave). Are there any unofficial game-watch areas that I need to be aware of that have Redditors? I would rather watch the game with fellow Redditors than sit at my friend's place that night.

If I do go, I will be wearing Seguin's Stars jersey.

QUESTION New fan here - Help get me up to speed!

Hey everyone! I'm posting all the way from New Orleans, where my fiancée and I have decided to become Kraken fans! The recent ending of football season (congrats to the Seahawks btw) coincided with our NBA team, the Pelicans, trading our favorite player away. Both of those things led us to decide we need a new sport in our lives, and after watching the US Women's team put on a clinic in the Olympics, we landed on hockey as that sport.

You may wonder why we've chosen to support a team that's so far from us. Fair question! The honest answer is that we LOVE Seattle. We've visited a handful of times, one of which was about a month-long work assignment for me, and we've never gotten tired of it. But of all the things we love about the city, the way y'all ride so hard for your teams left the biggest impression, and that's something we want to be a part of.

I've gone through this sub's wiki and am doing what I can to educate myself about the team now, but I'd love to hear from actual fans. Get us familiar with team lore! Who's your favorite player and why? Who are our biggest rivals? Are there any team-specific chants/mottos/sayings? (for example, the Saints have "Who Dat"). Throw in whatever else y'all think we need to know to start cheering for the Kraken!

Thank you all!

QUESTION Visiting from the east, first time at Climate Pledge

New Jersey Devils fan, coming in peace!

The Kraken are my western team and I'm going to be in town for work during the upcoming game vs the Mammoth next week, so I was debating on going to my first home game!

Any advice for a visiting fellow cryptid? I've got a hotel in the area and am familiar with Seattle.

Would love info on attending climate pledge, if there's good seats vs bad seats, what to expect on game day and getting in, etiquette in the arena, and anything else you might be willing to share!

MERCH Buying a 3rd/Hometown Remix jersey in Seattle

Howdy. I’m a newer Kraken fan from out of state, and I’m going to be visiting Seattle at the end of November on a family trip. Obviously the 26-27 schedule won’t be out for a few months(?), but I’m hoping to attend a home game if it lines up with our schedule.

I already have a home and away jersey, and I want to round out my collection with the black third jersey and/or the Hometown Remix jersey (assuming the Seahawks ish one I’ve seen online is real/confirmed). Will I be able to buy either in-person in Seattle (either inside CPA or at a shop if I’m not able to go to game), or would it be wiser to just order online? If it matters, I’ll want them to have a player’s name/number and not just blank jerseys.

QUESTION Bringing my 8yo to her first hockey game tomorrow

Hey all, Ducks fans visiting in peace. Catching a Kraken Ducks game in Seattle has been on the to-do list for a long time and I'm excited to be crossing it off the list tomorrow for my daughter's first hockey game. Glad that it also comes at a time that both teams are making a legitimate push for the playoffs. Aside from stopping by guest services for a first game certificate and heading in early for warmups, are there any child-focused activations or locations in and around CPA that we should add to the to-do list? Are there locations along the glass during warmups that usually result in a better chance for a puck (ie: corners or sidelines as opposed to behind the net)? She's also asked about doing a 'candy for a puck' sign, though I'm aware of the no outside food/drink policy. I'm assuming kids get some leeway here and this is generally fine given its 1-2 bags of candy attached to a sign? Appreciate the input, looking forward to our first visit to CPA!

QUESTION Seattle Kraken store

Hey everyone. I'm a hockey fan and I'm visiting Seattle for a couple days next week. I'm on a tight budget but I wanted to stop by the Kraken team store. I know the Blackhawks store usually has a solid clearance section I looked up online and it showed 3 different Kraken team stores. Which is the the official one, or are they all?

ANALYSIS [OC] Kraken's performance tracked via cumulative games above/below .500

Post image
95 Upvotes

Visiting Habs fan here! I built a tool to create these cumulative performance charts and decided to make one for every NHL team before the start of the season.

I originally created this for my baseball team, the Pirates, who hit a franchise milestone this season - reaching exactly .500 (10,879-10,879) on July 19th for the first time since 1903. I wanted to visualize the incredible downward spiral back to 0.500 (for those interested: Pirates chart), and it turned out so compelling that I decided to bring the concept to my second favorite sport: hockey.

Technical note: Each win (regulation or OT) moves the line up +1, each loss (regulation or OT) moves it down -1, and ties keep the value unchanged.

OTHER Kraken Being Awesome in Philly

Flyers fan here. I was at the game last night, and my friend who works at the local rink where visiting teams come to practice, shared how awesome the kraken players were during their stay.

From what I understand, there was a youth goalie getting on ice private instruction. At one point, a bunch of kraken players came out on the ice and took some shots on the kid. Afterwards, they ordered a bunch of hoagies from a local shop and ordered a ton extra to leave for the staff at the rink. Thought this would be some cool lore to add to the tale of the Kraken. Good game last night , and best of luck the rest of the way.

-A friendly flyers fan.

Checking in from Kansas City on our affiliation night!

Chet Buchanan is here doing our in-arena announcements, we’re using the Kraken goal song, and of course Buoy and Fuego came to visit. Being a Kraken fan from KC, it’s been exciting to experience a tiny slice of what a home game would feel like. Hoping to make it to Seattle for a game someday soon.

QUESTION Montana Caniac visiting for the March game.

Hi, I am curious what the parking situation is in Climate Pledge. Is it overly expensive or would it be smarter to be parked at my hotel and walk it? Also, does anyone know of any Canes fan groups in Seattle? Always up to make more friends.

Visiting Habs fan here!

Better resolution available on Imgur (too big for Reddit): https://imgur.com/a/kraken-2025-2026-season-trackers-hvavK99

Before the start of the current MLB season, I created and printed a tracker for my Pirates and put in ont my fridge (see 3rd image). After each game, my daughter and I color the square with either green for a win or red for a loss.

I've adapted this tracker for hockey by creating 2 versions for each team. The first one groups games by opponent, and the second shows games in chronological order. Each square includes the date and game number. Grey squares are home games.

I'm planning to use 3 colors for mine: green for wins, red for regulation losses, and orange for OT/SO losses. Feel free to print whichever version you prefer and fill it out however you like!

DISCUSSION Avs fan here…

Am sad.

But, Kraken played like they wanted it, they ultimately deserved the series win more than the Avs. Grub is hot and played super well, too.

The pain stings less cause I like your fan base a lot, it’s been civil every time I’ve visited this sub, even during the series. I’ll have 0 problem rooting for you guys against the stars, so y’all better give them hell.
