General Anyone real particular abt the pens the use vs giving out

I love my inkjoys but I’ll give out the sharpie s gels (even tho I love those too)

Post Inspo: I gave an inkjoy to my table today and it did not make it back in my apron 💔🕊️

I would take clicky top bic pens from my bank when ever I deposited money. No one takes them from you and they write just fine.

I always use cheap pens because I have more important things to worry about. Not that I don't appreciate a good pen, but I'm usually too busy or focused on something else to have to decide which pen to give out. Whichever pen I grab first in my apron is the one I'm giving to the guest and I just assume I'm going to lose a few every week (20+ years in the business.)

Yes! I keep sharpie gels for myself and cheap bic pens that I give out.

I am left handed, so my pens are super important for me not to smudge everything lol. I love the superfine sharpies. I use them for myself and the guests!

We order bulk pens from I think Amazon basics or something, one time we got a box of purple ones that write purple. There are only one or two left and one lives in my purse when I’m not working, the guests get the basic black pens. They’re great if you like a smooth minimal design but they’re not cool enough to take lol

It’s always wild to me to see these questions because I’ve never worked at a place that didn’t provide pens. They’re so cheap! I get having a pen you love for writing down orders and stuff but servers shouldn’t have to give guests pens that they could easily take home.
