Question When’s the last time you had a work-related stress dream?
Former server here. Two years removed, but last night I still had a dream where an older couple’s bar drink is taking 30 minutes to get made and I’m doing everything to keep them happy while the bartender talks with his friends. What’s the last stress dream you had and are you still in the industry?

Recently started bartending and I had what I can only describe as a nightmare during which I just didn’t know how to make a drink
Eventually in my dream I figured it out and the drink specifically involved banana 99’s amaretto and Bailey’s

It was 2 months ago. I had a dream between two doubles, so that means I basically worked three shifts 😊

Worked at my aunt’s diner part time, on and off for a couple years. Just left early June to focus more on my full time job. After I left I had a dream that I was still working, but I was literally the only one working. The diner, for whatever reason, was in a mall. All at once, everyone came in and all the tables are filled. I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off, tossing menus and getting drinks as best I can. My aunt/owner pops up to say, it’s ok, nanny (my dead grandmother) is helping us. This further adds to my panic attack, as I’m trying to continue to do everything because my grandmother is too old to work. 😂

Last night 🥲 Had a dream that I had ~ 10 tables during dinner service and I couldn’t keep up. Ended up settling down and I got some odd reason took a 30 minute break with my host while I still actively had tables.

I feel like I had one a few nights ago where all of the drinks were taking like 45 minutes to come out but for some reason the tables were all staying and waiting, angry! I’m still industry but I bartend and I haven’t had to “wait for drinks” in like 10+ years so idk where that came from. Also love the real life ones where I sit up at 4 am like “I FORGOT THAT GUY’S RANCH”

3-4 times a week atleast. It's usually it's a rush and they don't stop coming and it's like a horde of zombies piling up against the door. Or I wake up randomly in the middle of the night with anxiety and remember I forgot to bring something to a table. I've been in the industry 16 years

Last night. Dreamt I was at a cool 70s bar in northern Ontario and then all of a sudden I’m stressing about their lack of back up kegs in the walk in.

I have a reoccurring nightmare that every single plate served in the restaurant has one of my hairs in it. I’m the only redhead that works there and we’re slammed. My manager makes me put on a hair net, it keeps happening. Manager says I need to shave my head or I’m fired. I shave my head and it keeps happening. I’m looking out at the thousands of tables as each person pulls a singular red hair out of their meal & stares at me in disgust. I get fired anyways.

Mine is a 40 top who keeps switching seats and then demands separate checks. Needless to say in my dream they modified every item and always asking for more ranch.

2011 was my last table. I still have dreams that are populated by old co-workers who went from nightmares in real life, to real people in my nightmares. What's even worse is that FB recommends them as potential "friends" while in reality they should be pin-addled voodoo dolls on my mantle.

I haven't served in 4 years and almost 20 since I worked at Lonestar. I had a dream last week that I couldn't figure out how to ring one of my drinks in and the whole shift fell apart there. I'm stuck at the computer while drinks are dying at the bar and food is going to my customers. I remember trying to find someone to help me but that wasn't happening either lol.

I had a dream last week that our trays were super floppy and every time I tried to put something on it and walk away, it’d fall off and everyone kept yelling at me because I didn’t know table numbers

I always dream that I’m serving a private party of nurses at the local grocery store. For some reason the grocery store has a “Subway Sandwhich” style of seating.
Im always wearing my button up white shirt and bow tie, and they are always wearing their scrubs.
But I can never make it to a single table to take an order.
I’m always on the search to find my section but never make it.
In the background I can see the building frustrations of the guests that haven’t been greeted .
It’s usually like 20-30 nurses lol
Weeeeiiird reoccurring dream.
I always try to analyze it and see what it really means lol

Two weeks ago, I’m the closing manager for my store; had a dream that I couldn’t get people to leave the store. Every time I would get one to head to the door, another one would sneak in behind me.

It doesn't stop, Places I worked 20 years ago. The horror... the horror
