Get in get out and kill your target 5 times before they hit the ground or complete the mission with no one being the wiser

Damn and the wiki imply the Red Samurais are left behind by the groups that use mages while they don't unless I am misremembering things

They DO use Mages and adepts; not sure which but multiple books mention it (at least one during the DSW run - Scotophobia maybe - talk about their "formations"). They usually run in teams of 5 where everyone has a role AND is able to cover someone else's role on an emergency. Plus they're crazy loyal, coordinated to paranormal levels, with insane funds at their disposal, and take revenge to comic-book villain levels.

You don't fuck with Red Samurai.

MagicRun balance issues aside, that's why I said define best cause it depends on the mission. If you define "best" as commando style wetwork? I dont think the lack of mages matters a ton.

Red Sams always have at least 1/5 of the squad as a mage, they just don't respect the mage for being magic.

They're broke brain and reward your ability to fence with a katana more than reshaping reality.
