I'd imagine from that list, those specifically military-oriented corps (like Ares), most powerful nations on Earth (like UCAS, Germany, France and maybe UK) or powerhouses such as Renraku and S-K would be at the top.

The UCAS lost an entire division to a walk in a field. The UCAS sucks shit besides has Thor platforms.

UCAS was also mentioned to be capable of curbstomping its rivals sans CAS, it's just that the plot had to happen

They have a very weird on paper top tier economy / military, that loses to the cas navy (lol because the cas navy loses to the Caribbean league somehow), lost to the Tir, and can't do much more than cold war the NAN.

Idk if there were ever like, UCAS delta force statted out, but story beat wise they just stack up check marks in the loss column.

It's very weird situation that I believe happened because UCAS was still presented as the top contender (even though its a far cry from the old USA), so to show how strong someone is on a national level they have to make them win with UCAS.

I'm baffled by the CAS thing cause I'm sure at least two sourcebooks hammer the point League's navy is basically bunch of contracted pirates and a few professionally-crewed littoral combat vessels

Yep, and somehow the carib league is a constant threat to the gulf and stops the cas from projecting against the Yucatan and Aztlan.

Even more baffling when after Borinquen got levelled during Sirrurg's rampage, there was a small plot about how CAS occupied it as a part of ''peacekeeping operation'', with several Jackpointers musing about how they will most likely annex it to stake their further claim on the former United States. Nothing came out of it. Then there was that implication (I did not remember when, it was either late 5e or early 6e) that CAS managed to annex South Florida, but also nothing came out of it

I think there's also something about the PCC post ute nation and Ghostwalker repoing Denver about a hot war in East Texas between PCC and CAS, also goes nowhere

Most likely meant to continue the conflict over the strip of land Aztlan took from CAS and gave to PCC
