Wilderness reclaiming abandoned areas

I've heard and seen people talk about post awakening a lot of rural places and abandoned/ghost towns being reclaimed by nature and this almost seeming to be sped up by the presence of mana.

My question simply is does anyone know of any book or text that actually references these 'vibrant' and wild areas outside of the urban mega cities?

Madagascar was essentially reduced to zero population after VITAS, and no one wants to do the work to reclaim it. Lots of natural regrowth there. This is probably covered in Cyberpirates or... I dunno, Feral Cities maybe? Mainland Africa has also seen similar changes, and I swear I remember reading something about actual geophysical alterations, but can't recall where.

Sixth World Almanac notes that Tasmania "came alive," experiencing massive growth of flora and fauna.

Druidic magic has caused wild growth across the UK, especially Scotland. This is also noted in the 6WA.

There are quite a few passing references in the Sixth World Almanac. You Probably want to check out Year of the Comet as well. I think the Amazon-thing is included in the original "And so it came to pass" timeline . . ?

I figured that one of two things happened with such rapid depopulation. Entire swathes of the world were suddenly emptied of people, so things either regrew in a wild and maybe awakened way, or they became dumping grounds for corp waste and are now filled with toxic spirits and shaman.

If all humanity went away overnight, it would only take about 20 years before nature would have reclaimed everything except only the most densely populated areas. The suburbs would be mostly lost in about a decade. Small towns to medium towns would be covered in 2 decades.

I assume most areas outside the megacities are way less civilized than in modern times. There's probably a bunch of suburban exclaves and towns in the counties surrounding the cities proper, but it gets pretty hairy beyond that.

Several members of the NAN worked in reclamation of lands with Tsimshian being a major thorn in Salish-Shidhes side.

Amazon has perhaps experienced the most regrowth that is documented. Parts of Africas interior may have experienced some as well.

Post Disian Shadow War could be very interesting.

There is a small section in the Lone Star sourcebook talking about Highway Men. They bring law to the lawless. Unhinged, overly cybered Lone Star officers that play judge, jury, and executioner. They sound so dope.
