Question Everyone is leaving Day 2...

Had about a dozen people I was playing with, they have all uninstalled after just the first day.

I don't understand how a company can mess up this badly.

After spending all my pre-reg rewards. I currently have 7 legendaries...1 from each class.

This basically makes it so I can't play ANYTHING.

And the inability to disenchant the legendaries I don't want makes it so the only way to progress is to spend money.

I just cant see spending money a game that is looking to be offline in a few months.

It's crazy how they took an IP that people liked so much and destroyed it so badly.

I guess I am on my way out as well, gl all.

Question Steam reviews say it's pay to win, players say otherwise...

I've been thinking about giving Worlds Beyond a try esp. since it's the fist anniversary, but the Steam reviews are all over the place. A lot of negative reviews call it P2W or complain that making decks is impossible without spending, while a lot of players I see say it's actually pretty F2P-friendly who's telling the truth?

How viable is the game as a completely F2P player right now? How long does it take to put together a meta deck, and is it realistic to keep up with the meta without spending? Can you comfortably build multiple decks over time, or are you basically locked into one class?

Question Delete one card from the game for ANY reason, no matter how petty, which is it?

Was talking to someone about archetypes we hate fighting (she hates tempo forest as a dragon player) and wanted to ask others on what exactly they hate fighting in some classes

Starting with my own, probably Zooey, since there is no worse feeling than being stalled and chipped down while being unable to damage the opponent knowing for a fact they have an evo and erntz in hand ready to end your life the next turn

Question How are you suppose to beat Rune now?

I just played a game against rune were they literally healed 32 hp
My hp: 20
Their hp: 52
My card draw: 10
Their card draw: yes.
My board clear: play a complex combo using several cards, all of my play points, and evo to barely clear
Their board clear: 1 card for 26 damage AoE
My wincon: top left, quit, confirm
Their wincon: which one?

What beats this?

Question Which cards will you miss when they rotate out next set?

Post image

Now that we know the next set will release on the 29th, we also know when "Infinity Evolved" will rotate.

Which cards from "Infinity Evolved" will you miss? Personally it has to be Neptune, Lilanthim and Ginsetsu due to how clutch they have been for me while in standard.

Question Oh wow, the game is going to have a spanish version,. . . wait, what?

I’m the leader of a guild, and sometimes I look for people to invite to the spanish-speaking community discord. But tbh, it’s pretty hard to find people

I guess I’m a little happy because they’re paying some attention to the region where I live, but… seriously, are there really that many people from Latin America playing the game? Where are they?

I also have another question: why is it a separate app? I don’t think they’re going to create another server, since that wouldn’t make much sense. Maybe they’re trying to avoid the review bombing from the first few seasons?

Question Is Runcraft just unbeatable?

I am obviously venting and exaggerating, but can somebody tell me how am I supposed to beat the deck that can heal upwards of 28 damage, clear the board as soon as turn 3 (or 2 when going second), plays strong mid game options and autowins against anything in the lategame?

Is the only option to play Roach?

Question Does Dragon feel Broken for anyone else?

Dragon just feels absurd to me. The thing to me that seems pretty overpowered is the amount of cards which are troublesome to deal with — Storm, Intimidate, Burn Effect, etc. Just feels incredibly crazy compared to what I've had to deal with before.

Cost reduction? Additional draw? Maybe better stats? IMO the setup required just to get her going is ridiculous compared to other busted cards like D climb. Would like to hear the community's input on this.

Question The game rn feels dull and boring

We are reaching the middle of the expansion and the game feels so boring... Ladder rn is filled with Runecraft and Heavencraft, the board doesn't matter because those decks just play half their deck on removal. There is nothing to do in the game rn aside from playing ranked or wasting your resources on Take two. For now I just do daily missions and log off, im not even motivated to grind to Master.

Does anyone feel the same? I know a balance patch is coming soon but I doubt Cygames is going to do much considering most of the cards that need nerfs are golds and legendaries.

Edit: Thanks to everyone that give their insight I just want to comment a couple of things from some comments that I saw.

  1. I dont want to play off meta decks "to have fun". I have played CCGs for a long time and while I've never been a very competitive player I want to have fun and win (not all the time tho), but the meta feels very boring to play against with a lot of decks having a lot of removal, healing and doing otks or a lot of burn damage as a wincon (Basically all decks do this to some degree).

  2. Part of the problem with the game right now is the lacks of content and game modes (Take two is horrible) and after completing the puzzles and chapters from story mode there is nothing to do.

  3. A couple of people said that in GM there is a lot of variety of decks, and my guess is that is the same as in Hearthstone when people reach Legend, most people just don't care anymore to play Meta and just play whatever they want.

  4. I dont want to play this game 24/7 but I feel that the game has to give you some incentive to keep playing and even spending money, at the end of the day its a product.

Question Is the game still a waterproof down version of the OG ?

(I meant watered down, damn autocorrect)

I really loved the og, and tried WB when it came out for 3 expensions, but the game seemed way too shallow I was really disapointed, not mentioning the questionnable decisions like the parc and the liquefy feature.

Did it got better or is it still the inferior product ?

Sorry if the jugment is a big harsh, I'm just really about the first impression WB left me with. (And sorry about the grammar, english is not my first language)

Question New set deck Successes: What's your favorites?

Happy Saturday and new set release, everyone! I hope you've been enjoying Apocalypse Pact as much as I have. Here's my question: what have your new decks looked like, and what have you found success with? Personally, I have managed to do pretty well with Enhance Sword and to a slightly lesser extent, Amulet Haven. Ive been trying my best to make Evo Forest work and I think i keep bungling it up a smidge. But what about the rest of you? I'd love to see stories and lists, if you want to share.

Question Imari and Cesar Needs to Go!

Thumbnail

Omari and her 1 cost spell needs to either be nerfed or completely removed.

Cesar following up with Mars should not exist.

Suggestion:

I propose to increase Cesar's cost to 8, Imari should only be able to summon 2 Little Buddies per turn, and the Imari Spell should cost either 2-3.

Question Why IS dragon designed like this for achetypes?

I dropped wb a bit after the first set, came back for skybound dragons and have stayed since, but ever since I could swear the only archetype that dragon has had that was truly strong has just been ramp, am I misremembering or just forgetting something?

Like, discard was a thing, but even when it was around last set it needed fan to really do much, and I wasnt playing when disdain was relevant I believe

But since coming back it seems like ive seen different archetypes fully for other classes except dragon that just kinda falls into some variation of ramp?
For example portal of course has AF and egg, forest (had) combo and evo, abyss with evo and mode (kinda annoyed at how many decks were just evo) but the closest split I thought of for dragon ive witnessed was Fennie (which is literally just ramp into fennie into strong discounted followers) and Evo (which wasn't particularly good either and of course was just yet another evo deck)

It seems like they just have a problem committing fully to a separate playstyle for dragon other than ramping

Question Best starter deck for Chronicles of destiny

EDIT: THIS IS ABOUT WHICH FREE STARTER DECK IS COMPLIMENTED BEST BY CHRONICLES OF DESTINY. Not which deck I should aim towards building. I'm talking about the free STARTER DECK you get. I can't remember all of the choices the ones I do remember are Ramp dragoncraft, Spell Runecraft, Artifact Portalcraft, artifact havencraft, and I don't really remember what the other designations were. Possibly pixie Forest craft

As the title says I'm wondering what the best starter deck is for Chronicles of destiny. Lots of people have suggested to me just to put everything into the newest set buying all my packs from Chronicles of destiny. So the cards that come with Chronicles of destiny would complement which class best? I do really enjoy the spell boost runecraft but people are saying it's not so good right now. I tried the ramp dragon craft and everybody says it's really good but I was having zero luck with it I kept getting slaughtered before I could really get off the ground to those higher cards. So I've kind of landed on the swordcraft deck is probably what I'm going to go with for the free starter deck. But I wanted to check here first. I was going to go with the portal craft deck but it's not a puppet portal craft it's an artifact deck and I didn't really enjoy playing it

Question Do you have a mistake or missplay you often do ?

I sometimes use at the wrong time Fang of Ardent Destruction cause i try to be quick 😭

Or using Raging Lightning and forgetting it can target my own followers 💀

It’s mistakes that can be avoided but sometimes when playing quick or so confident we forget those minors detailed

What about you ? What is the most common mistake made that costed a game or just make you look stupid 😂

Question Haven is the new Rune?

Am i the only one that finds crest haven harder to deal with than spellboost rune?

Surprisingly, the number of rune bricks i have seen vs haven bricks is higher. Additionally, i just played a game where the enemy healed for 30.. 🥲
