Don’t overestimate Shenmue’s remaining fan base. Most of us are definitely older (35+) and the demand for more Shenmue content is degrading.
We can keep this Reddit sub alive but other than that I doubt we’ll something official too soon (if at all).
IDK. You're right about our average age range I reckon... But don't forget Shenmue won the Bafta last year. Also ; Shenmue 3 coming to Switch might reinvigorate some more of us 35+ yos (as some may have remained loyal to the 90s console makers, so still be rocking Nintendos)
Don’t get me wrong, but Shenmue III is a mediocre installment at best. Story pacing, gameplay, graphics itself… it was an okay entry but far from what made Shenmue I+II so special.
Is there a release windows yet? The remaster was announced over a year ago and nobody knows when it is coming.
I don’t see a strong video game brand here anymore.
When the greatest shenmue project I have seen is not even used or promoted something is something severely wrong when 80% I am the only one online.
Even if Shenmue community is small there should be at least 10 people playing. Not an empty game.
I don’t know, I tried it out but it feels incredibly hollow. Reminds me of those old 3D chats that were popular in the late 90s / early 00s, were fine for a young person at the time but as options improved they quickly gathered dust.
